Megan Loves Life 👍🏻
I remember this story when it came out and wish I loved there to help them. I'm glad we got an update.

Yes, me too!

Even the foreign mom and pop shop is loved. That's how it should be every where. Support the small businesses please
Nah, I get my coffee from Starbucks, and my donuts from Donutbucks
@@joegrossman5293 damn, love me some donutbucks!
Joe Grossman Probably support AOC as well
why call it foreign when they are probably more american than most of us who already live here. thats an american business not foreign.
@@gohan7104 what?
These are the people we should be helping: hardworking people.
Eric x Yes and notice the “help” they wanted was what they earned themselves. AWESOME!!
Agree
Exactly. DemoKKKrats need to take notes.
That's true. I'm agree with that.

I’ve never seen Democrats worded like
That… it’s hilarious… I love it.
Notice, he COULD have accepted donations but no, and this is the kind of character America used to see all the time. Great example!!!!
We should all decline donations if we're able to make ends meet ourselves when in a crisis, but with something as serious as medical treatment for a patient who's in a coma and may need extended stays in hospital... in the US that is impossibly expensive, it can bankrupt even the most hardworking independent people - then there shouldn't be any shame in accepting the help of a community that so clearly loves them and genuinely want to help.
Glad to see they could overcome this painful chapter with just their earnings from their shop but we shouldn't be quick to judge those who may need donations to overcome their challenges.
This coming from someone who thankfully gets medical treatment for free, I'm constantly in shock whenever I read about young people dying because they can't afford medication for their medical conditions and they try to get by on lower doses, families ending up homeless because a child got cancer and it bankrupt them... that's a devastatingly sad reality.
He really brought the proud Khmer culture with him and I just wish the world saw him when they think of Cambodia instead of a genocide decades ago
If only the world was like that neighborhood with that Donut shop.
Masrur Khan I
If people are willing to work, and people are willing to buy American(like this couple) it can work.
Lost my moms to stroke. This brought tears to my eyes. Good people out here
God bless brother
and1 shoes God bless you my brother 🥰🥰 you didn’t lose mom. She is definitely with you, trust me. I hugs you 🤗
I am very very sorry for your lost. Please know you are not alone. Sending love ❤️ to you
I love it when Humans love to love.
And when a homeless man ask for a sandwich
You respond *get lost*
@@F5_cena omg so *deep.* I don’t tell the homeless to get lost, but I will tell you to get lost or least get rid of that random negativity in a positive video.
this is why you gotta support those asian donut shops, they always welcome you as family
Your right
Some of the best service I ever had in my life was people who owned shops or businesses and they were Asian.
If you could speak their language they were even more impressed with you even if you weren't fluent I
I like home made donuts
Agreed 100% Tiffany and by the way your stunningly gorgeous!! 😍

The 60 people who disliked this video did not get a donut in time.
I’m gonna dislike too cause I wanted a donut.
Fair enough
Stella’s health recovery is the real miracle in this story . . . BUT the love shown for this lovely couple by the many, many generous & caring souls is the true blessing for all of us to witness❣️
a brain aneurysm is no joke. it is incredible that she survived, but even more incredible that she bounced back completely normal
Now This is the america I know and love.
Most Americans are the greatest when it comes to sympathy for others.
Yeah, most of them are great people really..
@SilverBear Is that why we’re the only first world country without health care?
@@johnny.V03 Well, that's because Americans are too nice (or stupid) to stand up against government corruption.
Except if youre colored and foreign, not American, or in the womb.
@@Redrocket120 Don't feel offended by the truth.
He doesn't want any money (HANDOUTS) from the customers. That's deep. It shows that he is truly a hardworking & a humble human being. I hope their business gets better!!!
I remember this story and the outpouring of love and support for this couple and their business.
It’s so wonderful to see an update on Mrs. Chan’s recovery!
I swear donut shop owners are a different breed
He’s Cambodian and as i’m Cambodian myself i feel so grateful for him hope i can visit his shop one day
Asians are known to be hard disciplined workers... not a bad reputation to have! I respect them so much
T H yes just as there are people of all cultures and ethnicities who work just as hard with the same reputation like Austrians, Germans, Jamaicans,
LynRuiz I agree but I didn’t mention any of them though... so don’t try to take away from what I said by adding in the other cultures... (like a Black Lives Matter “No, ALL lives matter” type approach you took there)
T H I can and I will mention it. I am an Asian native , I’m not going to pretend that “all lives matter”. This story isn’t about Asian superiority, but about community coming together to support this wonderful couple in their journey and the wife’s fight for life. My husband was one of the customers who bought 2 dozen after calling me and telling me the situation. I cried and admired the husband-because he’s an honorable man. Not sure why “hard working Asian” even matters in this story. This happens to be a Love ❤️ story with an Asian hard working couple. My Beautiful mother just died of a brain aneurysm at 57 a few months ago and she was also a “hard working” Asian.
T H They are awesome Americans!!
T H I understood you - some people just have to bring the other stuff into the conversation.
I had a brain aneurysm, and a brain surgery 6 months after I left the hospital. thank god now, I can talk, run, workout and work.
Anass Kadmiri So glad for you! Merry Christmas!
Same!
Anass Kadmiri yeaaaaaa 🥰
Happy for you 👏
Aneurysms are the silent killer, my mom suddenly passed from one when I was younger.
Thank God. And thank you for the customers who helped them!
grumphicat things like that restores my faith in humanity 🙏👋🤗
AMEN!
This brought a tear to my eyes. God bless them all.
Look at the smile at his face when his other half walks beside him once again
I’m not crying… Are you crying? 💖💖💖
nah, we all crying
I sure love donuts, and stories like this. The story made my coffee taste especially good this morning even without a donut.
This couple gives me hope that’s unbelievably sweet and romantic 😭
i know them - very proud and beautiful people - the whole town of seal beach loves them
I know America has dozens of problems and we are no where near perfect at all but its moments like this that make me so damn proud to be American. It warms my heart to see how much their community truly care & support them.
Those donuts look good. Give me an old-fashioned any day.
They are and the owner is so polite. I didnt know about them being on UA-cam. Til one day I ran into a video and I was confused cause the donut shop looked familiar. And then it clicked.
True America filled with love and compassion. I have hope in America .
We need to protect small business like this they have so much heart and passion 💕💕
Aw man now I need to find my way there to support I just love these kind of stories 😭🥺❤️
Such a hardworking couple. N the kind ppl surrounding him. ❤

If this aint the sweetest thing ever-
We've been to Donut City many times just down the road from Sunset Beach. So glad all is well again.
This community really rallied together to help. Wonderful!
Hardworking, honest individuals, not expecting a hand out from other people or the government. My hats off to this couple, their community loves them. May they stay happy and healthy
This story made me cry uncontrollably... I don’t know why. Just the kindness of people touched me so very much ... kindness and a hole lotta donuts did it for me. God bless to all
I'm so happy Stella is back strong and healthy, the two of them are an amazing pair and I hope they prosper for years to come.
Same guys who buy out his inventory are still on this video! Awesome.
Thank you for everyone who supports him and his wife. A very big thank you again.
This is what America is about, business, community, and love. We need more of this...

I feel like perseverance, community, and love sounds better.
@@lStranger you will always need business in this world...
@@clare2002
Not necessarily, some people prefer to live a simple life and provide for themselves. Businesses often need perseverance to thrive, however you can always have perseverance without a business.
@@lStranger OK so how do you provide for your family? You have to produce, sell something from a business. This is 3rd grade economics....you know that....
@@clare2002
You don't need to produce, sell, own, or work for a business in order to survive. Many people in urbanized societies have become overly dependent on businesses, and are less self-sufficient as a result. I'm not saying that businesses aren't a great asset to people, however people can survive just fine without them if they choose to do so. There are people who choose to live independently and away from society, it just works for them. On another note, economics is the study of scarcity and human behavior towards limited resources. What kind of 3'd grade classroom teaches that? I digress, the point is that the community in the video has a strong social cohesion.
Thank you CBS for the updated story. This is a Great story not only of the community coming together to show support for a proud businessman. But it's also a Great story about the Social Media spreading the news online about supporting this loving husband. He looks so Happy to have Stella back by his side too. I'm glad she's back n has recovered to.
I never tire of hearing this story.
Very nice! Not a fan of his death food but a fan of kindness and love..Stella, all the best! 💕💕
My local donut shop, they are amazing❤️

My Mother was suffered brain aneurysm in 2017 on her birthday, God give us anotjer chance for us to be with her. after coiling surgery she forgot some people and some places, more than 1 month in ICU. But really fast recovery because my mom is strong and willing to recovered. June 2019 She's passed away.
When people come together to help, it makes a better world. Stop the hate.
Ive never seen so many positive comments like this ever! You guys are awesome! 💙 im going through a lot and this made my day!
WE NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE THAT
haven't heard of this story in a while thats good shes better the community got together when she was ill
Among all the hate crimes, I came across rare love n kindness for Asians in this country.
Since this was pre COVID, wonder if the community would still provide the same support if this happens during the pandemic.
She returns with the famous Costco jacket too!
This just shows how love and kindness is so much better than hatred and prejudice.
Very nice festure from people who cares for this donut owner. Spread love not hate. We need this at this time.
Its early in the morning and im crying 😭 because of this
Humanity at its Best!!!......Life is Beautiful.......
I am glad that she is doing well and everyone supports them there.
Very nice to support a small business. My husband, his family, and I go to this mom and pop Chinese food restaurant for years. They always make us smile and know we always want boba and we always give tip. They are our family too. 😊
I'm so mushy right now, I feel like I could cry. 😭💖

Wow, she is beautiful.
Such a beautiful story, glad to hear she's doing much better ❤️
So glad she’s back. Stella looks just as good as she did when I was a kid and I’m 30!
She has that timeless beauty and charm that can’t be beat. John is so kind and sometimes he just looks at her with love eyes.
It’s the most beautiful thing and it showed me love as a kid
I remember the original story from last year! It's so good to see her doing well
When people use their power connections friends and thoughts for good, good things happen
So nice to see her back at shop with her husband ..
An example of hardworking and honest immigrants Great for them
Damn, back to work? I bet many would've just retired and died.
A lil Savage but the truth. lol

Leonardo Da Kimchi a lot of asians know, you got to keep moving to stay alive
My grandma is 83 and STILL working.
She still thinks about the regular customers who often come and buy donuts.
This is heartwarming ❤️
We are all part of a greater community. Wonderful 😊
