- I Made The Legend of Zelda but it's 3D... People seemed to really like what I did last time when I Made Super Mario Bros but it's 3D, so I decided to do the exact same thing again, but this time for the Legend of Zelda. This time I went all out because I recreated the entire overworld, including enemies and items.

11:38ish... Flute is used to disable bubble boss's shield and to fast travel across the map. Summons a lil tornado! I'm in LOVE with what you've done here, seeing one person do such great work in Unity makes me wish Nintendo would just hire you and release this. Thank you for all your effort!
Note: He did not know how to make boss fights yet, also i realized, you talkin bout mario or zelda?
@@brian93724 The tornado is also in the Legend Of Zelda. If link plays the recorder in the overworld, a tornado picks up link and takes him to a dungeon he has already completed.
Him not working for/at Nintendo, is clearly their loss.
The bubble bosses name is diggdogger
Don't forget that in the second quest, the flute will reveal a secret entrance when played in two separate map tiles. The caves give you the "Heart Container or Life Potion" choice. Without the flute you can't get more than 14 hearts in second quest
The flute is used to weaken the Pol's Voice Enemy and to summon a whirlwind that takes you to any dungeon entrance that you have already conquered. Excellent Job! I can't believe how close you are to completing the full game.
Flute breaks the Digdogger into smaller parts but does nothing to Pols Voice. Pols Voice are vulnerable to arrows though.
I have just now noticed how advanced the legend of Zelda is, at least when you consider it’s 35 years old.

Well, he is pretty experienced in coding, and the games he makes are pretty simple, soooo.
(I don’t mean to be that guy who ruins the comment btw, but just saying.
@@shiftless215 I think he meant he is still figuring it out when coding you won’t know how to do everything immediately it would take a couple tries.
@@shiftless215 I am also a programmer and I can tell you that when I say that I don’t know something I mean I’m still figuring it out I think you are taking the words a bit to seriously. As a programmer I don’t see anything wrong with how he coded anything in this video everything seems to be working fine or is it the fact that he had troubles that makes you say this, you know that everybody has to take a few tries to get things right when coding.
Imagine making Zelda 2 which actually incorporates zelda one's map in the southeastern portion of the world.
When he apologised for taking a while, I expected to see that the previous video was released last year. 2 months ago is _not_ a long time between videos when _this_ is what was happening in that time.
This is amazing! You're Truly talented! I look forward to future videos of you recreating stuff in 3d. Although, I feel your talent is going to get noticed super quick, and I imagine some crazy good job offers are on their way. Which you totally deserve!
Even if it’s not the same engine, as someone getting started with Blender, your videos give me the inspiration to just go and create whatever it is I want. Amazing content keep it up ❤️
This feels like something that would be a digital exclusive from Nintendo
There was talk of remaking all the 2D games with the same engine they used for Link's Awakening on Switch.
Timed exclusive
Nope, Nintendo will simply re-release the OG version with a new 16:9 ratio, upres the textures, and then sell it for 60 bucks.... and it will the same for Zelda 1, 2, and 3... and sell it for 60 bucks and call it a "remastered" edition... fucking Nintendo
Real talk though, Nintendo is sitting on a gold mine if they put in just a little more effort, but Zelda hasn't sold well enough... maybe one day... 10 years from now...
It would exist for a month then no longer sell
"I dont know much about 3D modelling"
*remakes zelda in 3D*
Wtf
well he not really "modeling" everything he's get the 3D models online and sometime slightly alters them with a few exceptions (Edit: I made this comment over a year ago and I've realized since then that I was wrong, my confusion came from when he would take models from online in other videos and the fact that he's not really modeling but rather using voxel, which is practically 3D pixel art. The flute does 2 more things. it allows Link to Warp to any Underworld dungeon he has cleared. if he is facing north or west, he warps to the next dungeon. if he is facing south or east, he warps to the dungeon before the one he is at. in the Second Quest, it can unveil hidden caves, as well as the entrance to Level 6. I can't believe I hadn't seen this before, this is great! It reminds me of a video by suckerpinch called "Automatic 3Dification of Nintendo games: The glEnd() of Zelda"
While this is a re-make, the other one is a re-render and uses the original game code by reading the graphics memory for which tiles are rendered and where plus bunch of other code to figure out what is the player etc. For any fans of programming and janky projects, I recommend giving it a watch.
It still amazes me how much effort you put into these games even though Nintendo Ninjas will come after them. Great work, man. Can't wait to see what you do in the future.
Hi

Well as long as he doesn’t release it he’s fine. But yeah Nintendo ninjas will come for him if he tries anything to do with releasing it
The Flute does more than just drain the water to enter the seventh dungeon. It allows you to warp to any dungeon you have completed and it weakens digdogger.

Flute also cause a cyclone that teleports link if he gets in the whirlwind to one of the random completed dungeons. "According to the wiki page for the "warp whistle" (also called the Recorder), its primary use is to uncover the entrance to the 7th dungeon, but will also take you to the entrances of completed dungeons. It will not take you to the entrance of the ninth dungeon."
Also it is required to defeat one of the bosses

Anyone can learn to program, all you have to do is think logically, and learn the programming language. In the programming language of C, declaring a variable (a thing that stores a number) is as simple as “int a = 5;”. This basically means: Integer (int/number) “a” is now the value 5. Programming was made to be as easy as possible, if it was as hard as you think it is, your average joe wouldn’t even be able to learn it (because they would think that it’s impossible). So try programming, and try to learn it with confidence.
Start with a course named cs50 and do the exercises after completing it u can start learning your prefered languange using tutorial

Anti-Consumer is not the right term. I get what you meant, but branding is everything to corporations. They LOVE Consumers, they hate COMPETITORS. its legal distinction, but that's how they have to look at it. Anything hsing their IP must be given attention, and or action. The best way to avoid this is by researching and using the right ways to communicate your fan work/art online. Creative Commons is a good start and searching fair use laws and parody laws will help also. CYA - cover your @$$. peace

This is an excellent remake into 3D, staying very true to the original. I'd suggest you also make a realistic version too. For example, make the trees look like real trees, but don't clone them over and over. Make each tree look different, maybe by rotating each tree 90 degrees on its vertical axis. The cycle will repeat every 4th tree, but I doubt anyone will notice. And make barriers taller so we can't see over to another area.
I tried to turn the map view of Zelda 2 into something realistic 10 years ago, but my computer couldn't handle it. Each block was a very large space so a whole village would still occupy only 1 block. And I wasn't going to use the same enemy encounter as the map world, they'd become rendered as I approached like GTA.
*This is literally a tier 1 resume.*
You ain't kidding
But…. Can he do 3D linear algebra, describe a rendering pipeline and build a memory manager from scratch? 😛
