Well.... I am old enough to recall the Z650 and a part of me thinks this is an act of sacrilege. But a part of me thinks this is the most wonderful use of time, tools and motorcycle parts that I've seen for a long time. What an excellent project! Chapeau!
My man this bike is nothing short of a masterpiece! I used to be obsessed with watching "The Workshop"'s videos on turboing a bike and you make it look so easy! Amazing work 👏
Thanks Nathan. Though I will say even for me, it's not as easy as I make it look. There's some frustrating times in the garage without a doubt. Cheers!
@@DoctorMotorcycle i was making a joke about BOOST, UA-cam engagement, and your videos coming in clutch (for me as a viewer) and as someone who wants to turbo a carb’d bike haha
I love the design, with the scrambler looks, the shiny deposit, the exhaust... but what I love the most is the sound, is wild. This bike is on another level. I see so much improvement in many details. Bravo.
A 3.4 40-80mph time puts this bike only 2/10th's off a GTR and 3/10th's off a Hellcat. I think on 15psi of boost this bike would be able to match the 3.1 40-80mph of a hellcat. Check out the 40-80mph list to see how this bike compares! www.reddit.com/r/cars/comments/k17y8b/large_compilation_of_4080_mph_acceleration_times/ Also - *These full build videos are not all encompassing of the work performed. There was/is a TON of work done off camera, especially with regards to small details like cable routing, wire management, jetting, and all the small little details that can take weeks to get sorted to have a solid, dependable ride. The time between shooting the last shot in the garage and having a done, ready to ride bike is usually 2-3 weeks. The wiring harness is removed and completely loomed, there's no exposed wires, and the bike is road tuned with a wideband 02 sensor before moving on to the final ride shots. This is 2.5 months of work condensed into 20 minutes. These videos are very, very abbreviated 👍
You REALLY should round those edges you stick the wiring through. 100% sure, they will result in grawed wires pretty fast. Woring is one of the weakest links in DIY bikes. And "nobody" can figure it out thanks to lack of tech sheets or skills.
@@CONEHEADDK I did deburr it, I got it on camera too, but all you see is my hand. Sometimes things are a PITA to get on camera and the shot is junk, you'd know that if you've ever tried to record yourself working on something. I wrapped it with wiring harness tape and pushed it in the bar so there's no exposed wiring as well. Obviously, there's many things I've done on these builds that aren't on camera. I re-wired the whole bike, yet there's in total probably 30 seconds worth of wiring in this video. The jetting portion took over a week to get right, it wasn't shown in the video at all. I daily ride my bikes, I put 12k miles on my sportster since I buillt it, zero electrical issues. This isn't my first rodeo. Thank you for reminding me why I need to put my "*this video doesn't even show 30% of the work performed" disclaimer pinned in the comment section.

Bro everything you build is a masterpiece awesome don’t know what else to say I want to lottery I want to buy rebuy can you build and then I have to come up for something else for you to build too awesome .
Arizona is a Very Dry state so it's not really an issue, and I've notice as long as you keep up with keeping it clean/wiped off once every few weeks w/terry cloth, it's not an issue. Surprisingly it doesn't flash rust when you get water on it like it does when it's raw steel, though I can't say as to why. It might have something to do with the polishing compound.
what tires are you using in this and where did you find them ? i have tried to find wide offroad tires in my scrambler transalp build, but no luck.. really nice build you have in here !!
It's going to be for sale soon, and I'm tossing around the idea of going through e-bay, so if you're in the lower 48, you could snag it. Send me an e-mail via my contact form on my website if you want to be contacted when it's ready to sell. www.doctor-motorcycle.com
What do you think of Kamen Rider? It's a Japanese superhero franchise where the main character rides a bike (most of the time) It would also be cool if you decided to build a bike from Kamen Rider for example the Battle Hopper from Black Sun or the Cyclone from The First
@@DoctorMotorcycle it's actually a grasshopper, but yeah, the one from the original series is kinda funny but the one from the black sun reboot is cool

killer build jimmy. welds on god level, and i’m stealing that chain+brake rod idea 😂.

Thanks, I appreciate comments like this very much.
That exhaust manifold is a work of art mate. If Tracy Emin's poxy bed got in the Tate this should be in the bleeding Louvre.
My hats off to you. I’ve restored many vintage motorcycles but I have NEVER seen builds like yours. You are truly amazing
You’re always boosting reasons for engagement in the clutch
If you're referring to the clutch on the bike, it has an APE racing clutch and Heavy springs.

Wonderful work, but I can't help thinking of how hot that exhaust must be!
The trick is to ride it so hard the wastegate is always open 😂 then the rest of it won’t get hot
It's warm, that's what the heatshields and wrap are for though.
Awesome upgrades great video

Kenda big block out back, front is a Kenda too but I can't remember which one. It's DOT legal though. Cheers!

Bro where are you from and do you need an apprentice or extra camera man or anything?
Is it also possible to turbocharge a 500 ccm engine?
Have you ever turbo charged a two stroke carb engine?
Negative, I was under the impression it either couldn't be done and/or was very difficult to boost a 2-stroke.
How to become begginer of this kind of builds, do anyone have guide for dummies for this activity topic?
