At first I was like "Well he's definitely on a budget if he's painting it with spray paint" but then magic happened. That rear seat rail is such a fresh idea, headlight cover made from scratch looks dope and your craftsmanship is amazing. You got yourself one more subscriber on the way to million
Dan, still one of my favorite build series on the old UA-cam. Great work on that bike, I believe you saved many of those bikes from going to the scrap heap because of this series. You gave people a better vision of how it can be done at home in the garage on a bike that many did not see the vision, but now they do.
excellent build, been thinking about a scrambler bike myself. just can't justify the prices . but i could build one and this will have me searching the net for a foundation bike. good work my man!

Love watching your channel, you do an awesome job...well done. Just a question, how do you go about getting the bikes roadworthy and registered after extensive modifications? Be good to see a video on this topic if you are able to put one together. Obviously will only relate to Queenslander's but I'm sure similar situations may apply in other states and countries around the world. Thanks, and look forward to future videos from you.
As you say its different for each state, you just need to stay within the rules so to speak. The bike is stronger now than what it originally was so it's not an issue.
Really like these videos man, nice! Hope you also powdercoated those rims though, they suffer the most. From a custom painters point of view, loose the cans and go 2K, cause that stuff is not gonna last!
You are 100 % right however i believe its not safe to powder coat Comstar wheels due to the different alloys they are made from. its what the powder coater told me in the baking process
I believe she will be here sometime soon so we can work on it again. I’ve done a bunch of wiring on her bike and we still need to do a battery box, upholstery the seat, mount the mount the turn signals, pull apart the engine, paint and powder coat coateverything etc etc.
Oh no that's no good, there are so many out there you won't have an issue finding another one im sure. I have a 2nd one Im going to be building one day soon, you may have noticed it in the background of this video
great build, looking awesome, question- for your wood tubing bender, where can I get the red pipe die you are using? Im wanting to fabricate some bends for a current build Im doing also...thanks in advance :)

I'm restoring a cx500 and this video is inspiring me to do some modifications.
I can see a lot of thought went into this and the custom parts were the icing on the cake. I particularly liked the seat.

Love this scrambler you built. Love your work on general. Do you take custom builds for clients or sale your bikes you build?
Wonderful 👍
What a journey!!
Yes you are not wrong and im sure you know first hand how long some of these things take
Great Video again Mr Dan ! Is Chrystal's bike finnished ? Would love to get an update on it.
I believe she will be here sometime soon so we can work on it again. I’ve done a bunch of wiring on her bike and we still need to do a battery box, upholstery the seat, mount the mount the turn signals, pull apart the engine, paint and powder coat coateverything etc etc.
Hey Dan, I love the stance on this build. What length rear shocks did you use? I’m looking for something similar on my CX
Well put together m8, i forgot just how bad it looked b4 you started on it. Cheers : )
Thanks brother, yes she came a long way and lives in my lounge room now :)
100% Super Top !

Nice bike! Did you have to tune the carbs?
Yes I did but it's still not perfect
I’ve always loved the CX500. Tried to find one reasonably priced recently and was sorely disappointed.
Oh no that's no good, there are so many out there you won't have an issue finding another one im sure. I have a 2nd one Im going to be building one day soon, you may have noticed it in the background of this video

Why? Too heavy, too slow. And that's just the motor.
I love it, and most of the fun for me is building, I only ride occasionally and love to take this camping with me.
Can you do this to my Piaggio Beverly 500?
