I just repaired the motor in a LG dryer I just got for free. Only problem with the dryer was the drum didn’t turn. Easy fix. The centrifugal weights came out cause the springs that hold them in wore out their mountings. I just drilled four new holes for them and reinstalled the springs and weights. Runs like new and saved me over a hundred bucks!
Thanks for this video. I’m in the UK and have an Admiral badged dryer. Very difficult to get parts. The motor keeps overheating and I’m hoping this tip will stop that happening.
Did the exact same thing you did on you video only difference my dryer motor made a horrid humm no spinning .Would only start spinning if I turned it by hand would start turning very very slowly and up to speed no factory connection for start circuit.
Can you add the Link to added video(s), you reference, on centrifugal switch and motor switch testing - due to no start....even with motor testiing good - as shown. Thanx.

There are a lot of little tricks to keep these motors running!

Sounds like you only had the run winding energized
When i beach check the motor it is getting off after 1min of running. What would be the problem. Kindly please reply if someone no what to do 😀
They can get real warm quick if you don’t have them wired properly
How long will the few drops of oil keep the motor working good????
depends on how worn it is and how much its used

Let me know if you have any further questions as I can always make another video.
I hooked mine up the same ran fine for 15 seconds and stopped sounded like something kicked out
It could have been the centrifugal switch that kicked out and possibly the motor overheating
i hook my motor to 110 it work but when i put it in my dyer it would not work
Bad timer or fuse possibly
