Tenth round of the 1993 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix Season. Luca Cadalora takes his first win in the 500cc class from his teammate Wayne Rainey, who now trails championship leader Kevin Schwantz by three points after the Texan was eliminated in an opening lap accident involving Mick Doohan and Alex Barros. Niall Mackenzie took the final podium spot in third after snatching it off future WSBK champion Carl Fogarty on the last lap of the race.

I can't believe Rainey and Doohan was racing!! Wayne Rainey was ALL fucked up at this time, and Mickseg was STILL broke and yucky...Costa shouldn't have allowed them to race...but I would have STRONGLY warned Team Owners and Managers about them racing..
This is the accident that started the end of the Schwantz's career. He never fully recovered.
