  • Pine needle gourd rim- super easy for a first time coiling project!
    Materials needed:
    Gourd, finished with holes drilled around the rim
    Long leaf pine needles
    Irish Waxed Linen (or imitation sinew)
    Small scissors
    Needle
    Clothespin

    The pine needles topper goes well with raku. Yes do the finish and more on deco pine needles. Thank you for your time teaching us.

    Thanks for this helpful video. Your closeups and explanations of knotting and hiding tails were especially helpful. I'd be interested in seeing some more advanced coils, and even different stitches. Thanks again!

    Thank you, this was wonderful! I was gifted some gourds this fall that I am attempting to dry for the first time, to try doing pyrography on. I would enjoy seeing how you did this finish for any that I dont try to burn, and various kinds of coils would be so interesting too! A big congratulations on the 2k! 😊

    you are a wonderful teacher! Question I have is... can I use the pine needles that I have in my backyard? I understand that I would have to treat them, but was just wondering if that would be ok. do they have to be about 12 inches long?

      Of course you can! The longer needles are easier to work with, but you can work with shorter needles as well, keep in mind you will just be adding needles more often to your bundle! Thanks for your question!
