Carving in gourds is a native tradition. Especially in Mexico and Central America they’re traditionally made into containers, instruments anything you can think of
Can't say anything new.... just thanks so much for your pioneering work and I hope to be in a workspace next year to begin gourd art. You're an inspiration! Thanks
This video was great to find on UA-cam. I can’t thank you enough for everything I’ve learned from you over the years. I took my first class with you when Wellburn’s still had their festival, then in Tucson, Knights Landing, and Casa Grande. Gourds were just part of life and part of our ways growing up but when I was introduced to them as fine art my relationship with them changed. Thank you for sharing so generously and for being such a patient and encouraging teacher.
Bonnie has been my inspiration since I first heard of her work many years ago. She has done so much to elevate the humble gourd to an accepted art form. I feel fortunate to have taken a couple of classes from her. Loved this video!
Bonnie, thank you so much for making this video. You are such a wonderful teacher and artist. A lot of my friends don't understand what gourd art is or how it happens and I can share this video with them. You're the best.
So much enjoyed your video here!!! You have been the one who has inspired me in this art form. Always there for advice and encouragement. Your work is amazing! Thank you for sharing this with us out here who look up to you. YOU are the reason gourd art is what it has become today!!!
Bonnie this is one of the best UA-cam's I have ever watched. Can't Thank you enough for doing this. I am sure it will change the way some people will look at our Gourd Art. Keep up the Fantastic work and Sorry to hear you will not be running Arizona Gourds after Feb 15th, 2019 but I can understand you need time for your Classes and your wonderful Gourd Art...Want to take a Class one day in the future... dhf
Hello love! I have a large gourd that I grew and I’d like some ideas of what to create with it ❤❤ I’m sending pic and measurements. Was thinking of making a lamp shade. But as far as design I’m lost?!?!
I recently just acquired some I am a Carver myself I have never carved one is there any thing you can tell me that might help with my experience carving this material
Thank you for entering the gourd world.🙏🥰

Beautiful
Just as any other artistic endeavor, it is about the artist's vision and execution rather than the medium.
