@@barrygolden9823 Yeah definitely and I rarely ever see them for sale used. They’re setup really well from the factory. My plan is to do race/play/GTG build. They have a WJ from the factory so that’s a really nice start.. 52mm windowed piston so lots of options there and a really high quality cylinder. Should make for a really fun build.
@@Houseworksaws mine only has a muffler mod but, as you know, they are overbuilt and seem like they will run forever!!! The down side....... they're heavy!
@@barrygolden9823 Man that muffler was fun to gut out 🙄😆.. I ended up splitting it then brazing it closed after. Made it run so much better tho and yes they are tanks lol 😆
I was asked to do a demo cut with a BRAND NEW 40cc unit of an Efco unit yesterday. It did remarkably well for what it was. HOWEVER, the chain was a junky semi chisel AND it had the extra low kickback bumper stuff at well. If it had a REAL PS or any other “Yellow” chain, it’d down infinitely better. A chain will make or brake a saw.
My personal experience is that running a little lean up top can also cause the low side to seam lean. So try more fuel on the high side may fix the low side slow idle return.
Come across some stuff at an auction @ here, 2 mid/late 2023 CS310 w/ non catted muffler, blows my theory of the new models would have a catted muffler IDK, man what a 💩 Ton of grinding compared 2 these open ones! Have you had any of the ones that barely have a opening going into the muffler instead of the big round inlet?😖😤🤐
All of the ones I have seen have the large hole. It really does stink trying to get the cats out. It’s a lot of work getting the normal cage out, but the cat ones are brutal. I’ve tried several methods. Masonry bit to chisel out the cat and a cutting wheel at the inlet and outlet of cage is still the fastest. Thought I would try melting/cutting one out. That did not work well😞
@@crazyfeller5704 I used a big flathead screwdriver @ the edge of the cat comb 2 breakaway from the muffkin and removed in chunks(is it platinum in these?) a cylindrical grinding bit on my rotary grinder 2 get 2 the cat and everything after.
Too bad the 670 Champ Jonesred is a bit more CC’s as they are comparable in weight just with the 670 being a 50mm vs the 48 mm of the Efco! Just port the Proyama saw and have a shootout between the Efco 6510 & the Proyama!
All these EFCO vids reminds me to finish my MT8200
I was sad to see the 8200 discontinued....... Glad to have gotten mine while they were available!!!

Just keep proving low roof isn’t the only way to make a saw run.
A good port job always helps one to not notice the weight as much😁 good runner👍🏻 between the ms400 and cs-670, I'd like to see it against the 670!
That saw runs really nice 👍

Oh yeah, it also used “PAC-man” needles for the carb to adjust.
UA-cam captions have you calling yourself the Novel Slumberjack
I get it. Thought the Makita 6421 was heavy for 64ccs (Home Depot rental). Put a 54mm jug on and its fun now.
Honestly I like EFCOs they kind of remind me of Echos saws they just work and run

I just picked up a efco 165 the predecessor to the 6510 making me want to crack it open.
Most likely what would of like the 102e but not to bad that has the EPA carb on it u might want to modify the carb to help with the idle
👊TR
I've already removed the limiters. What else is there to do?
So It's not the ignition coil that limits the revs?
Efco industrial saws.
So you do read your comments😅
Husky 562 XP M2 would be a good matchup.
Dang! I gotta get me one of those!
Nice! What design is the cylinder? Open or closed?
Bro busted out the ol’ snort action 😂
Ilike efco😊
Just the tip?
Never heard of Efco. I had to look it up. Seem like a solid saw but that saw weighs what a 572xp does and more than a 500i. 😳
👍👍 gonna be looking for efco cylinders in Europe……😀

What is the difference if any between the 6500 & 6510 model? I looked up the comments and they have 4 plants 2 in Italy and 2 in China.
No idea. Best guess would be that the 6510 has epa carb and cat muffler.

I’ve been told 6510 is just a newer saw same as the 6500.
562mk2 would be cool but 670!
Race it with the ported 670, maybe even with a 590!

I have a ported 6500 too, they rip! More people need to be made aware of these
Hah! Thats thumbs up sneaked by you 😅
Put all three together braaap
