      Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.[Matthew 13:9-16 KJV] I come with a message to tell everyone that even though times are hard, and it seems endless as though at times it never shall pass, these like other things shall pass and these to shall come to pass, and a new beginning shall arise for you. May God bless anyone who is is in need or is in turmoil in the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and king of kings, and Lord of Lords amen right now, for God is a merciful God. Call on God and he will not be deaf but God will listen for he loves you no matter the circumstance for we are all his children from those whom accept his son Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation bestowed upon us by God through the vessel and blood bought sacrifice of him Christ Jesus whom he the father almighty God hath sent in him Christ Jesus in that of his and our fathers name, know to this even if you doubt it or are uncertain or even yet too feel unworthy at times due to what had happened or the events in your life for it is written! I make my own sea salt spray and I use it between the days that I don't wash my hair. After it dries I use the clockwise/counterclockwise rubbing technique along with palm rolling. At first my scalp was a little itchy until I got use to it, but nothing that made me want to rip my hair out. I usually wait one to two days to wash my hair after I use the DIY sea salt spray because I have found this has made my roots lock up instead of being loose like they are directly after washing my hair. I'm three months into my journey. Thank you for all your wonderful videos, they are/were my main area of research until the day I made the leap and started my dreadlock journey.

    Ever since I first created my dreads, I have been using sea salt spray before palm rolling (not all the time)! And I felt it made them lock up and mature rather quick!

    I've had my rip twist starter dreads for three weeks, and I'm amazed at the progress. Messy sure, but definitely doing everything Lazy Dreads said they would. I use sea salt spray on days I shower, and occasionally between washes to manage oil buildup. It helps keep a good balance and gives me something to do that feels productive.

    I have thin/fine/wavy hair that's about 3 inches long. I started using a sea salt spray (1 cup water + 1/2 tsp sea salt), and it's working quite well. Because I have dry skin to begin with, I use the spray based on how my hair feels when I wake up; if it feels soft anywhere, I spritz enough of the spray to cover those spots. It's only been two days, but so far so good :) My goal is neglect/freeform, which I've never really done before. I use Nature's Gate shampoo 1-2x per week, and rub my hair a couple of times a day with a microfibre cloth :) Love your videos!! I've learned a ton, and laughed quite a bit too :D

    I live on an island, so naturally I'm more accustom to the effects of salt and salt water.
    But I only wash my hair once a month or two, and in between my wash days I regularly swim in the ocean.
    I have found that my scalp is sooo used to being dry and the lack of washing makes it that much longer to get my natural oils flowing.
    But in my experience, my dreads have never been better ! At least since I used to wash twice a week and with actual hair products.
    I still have bits of loose hairs everywhere, so don't think this salt water spray is going to cure that... it only helps them lock up, but no matter what you do, a hair is going to break, thus restarting the cycle of dreadlocks. There's no way around it.

Can I use salt spray on my hair after sectioning but before Twist and rip and back comb combo I think I'll need to use, back comb first, spray, Twist n rip, palmroll, pray. I´ve been thinking on getting dreads lately. But my primary concern is how to care for them when I´m out backpacking/hiking. Because the gods know I will not have access to showers, blow dryers, etc... And of course there is the risk of rain. I know that for a couple of days it shouldn´t matter that much but *What do I do in case of a 2+ weeks hiking trip?*

    • @LazyDreads
      @LazyDreads  7 років тому

      Only if you plan on freeforming the dreadlocks. Starting to apply sea salt before starting the dreadlocks with any other method would mean you'd have to first spend the time trying to brush out any of the knots already formed by the sea salt before you're actually able to use any of the other starting methods.

      +Lazy Dreads I shampoo often (usually every other day) and condition when needed. My locks are 2 years and 6 months this coming weekend. They've done great, are locked tight and I've had no trouble with them. I don't use the baking soda water spritz every day, but I do use it at least once to twice a week. A fine, light misting has worked well for me but for others it may not. I was only wanting to point out the option of baking soda as opposed to sea salt. The baking soda has been a less expensive and far, faster mixing option that rendered the same results as sea salt.

    Random question...what is your opinion of having dreads whilst trying to get a job? the thing is I've been growing out my hair naturally for nearly two years to be able to eventually have dreads. I live with my grandparents currently so I asked them what they thought and they said (apart from the usual "why would you want those?" "they're dirty" "they don't get washed though do they?") that they'd rather me get a job first which kind of upset me because I'm finally at a point in my life where I've never wanted dreads more than I have now you know? so what do you think employers would generally think? have you had any experiences where you've had a bad reaction from an employer?
    p.s I wanna hug you!

      +Addy Morgan Well, it would be "safer" to have the job first :p how much of an effect it has depends on the employer and the job... if it's a job you're particularly well suited for, have the qualifications and experience etc, then dreadlocks probably aren't going to have as much of an impact vs a job where you're not as qualified/experienced. But the same could be said for visible piercings, alternative piercings etc... in some places they aren't going to make a difference... in others...
      *hug*

      +Lazy Dreads yeah I completely understand what you're saying! I can see why they're concerned but the thing is I also have 8 facial piercings so a part of me is kind of like "what different would dreads make anyways?" but I do agree it's probably safer to get the job first :) you know I am almost tempted to let my hair naturally dread so that they can't say I actually did it 😂 I haven't brushed it for like 3 days and I'm just so adamant to brush it because I want them so bad :P
      thank you for the reply and *hug*, I appreciate it! :)

He will not abandoned those in distress but bless the ones who mourn! Accept God and Gods son Jesus Christ by believing in him Christ Jesus whom is our Lord and our Savior, and king of kings, and Lord of Lords and you shall receive the gift of eternal life and be renewed with that of the abundance in that of the Holy Spirit now and forevermore! Have a wonderful day/night everybody, and farewell!(Share the message around the world!)....,........

    i've had my dreads for 2 years now and i was wondering are they still considered young 'uns? as much as i try to anti fuzz the top, after a few weeks it just goes back. Do you reckon i should just leave them (maybe they're still young?) and they will eventually tighten up?

      to be fair, the term "dreadlock" was started by the rastas. rastafarianism is a black supremacist religion, but ropes of hair is much older than that whole bit of nonsense

    these products are sham and a total waste of your money.... just buy SEA salt and make your own.

    • @LazyDreads
      @LazyDreads  8 років тому

      +battouter You're obviously welcome to make your own... in fact, I already have a video on that too... generally there is a little more to the premade ones than just salt and water.

    • @battouter
      @battouter 8 років тому

      +Lazy Dreads true, but they both get the same exact result. the premade one's might have the extra essential oils or fragrance but will cost 10 times more. For those near the ocean, take a dip! It's free!
