This was so much fun. Loved your humour, and I don’t blame you finding every distraction possible before getting into the Stomper grounds! This was a hoot.
Romper Stomper gave us movie-goers a few false notions about Footscray, a suburb I'm yet to explore but hope to in the near future. I loved your little detours along the way, including the bowls club featured in Crackerjack. Whenever I drive to the city I park my car at Windsor as it's quite cheap and not far from the CBD. Fountain Gate I feel has quietly become the major rival to Chadstone. Those shots from Bad Eggs really shows how quickly the place has changed and evolved over a relatively short period. Fantastic video!
Thanx mate for making this content. In 2018 i went to Footscray Station and thought everything was filmed there especially the Tunnel scene. Too bad it was in Richmond actually. Nevermind hopefully got time to comeback there nxt year. This content really made my night! Big cheers 🥂 mate.
Nice job! Thanks for the upload. Glad you eventually got onto the Romper Stomper locations coz Hando was about to flip his sh*t. Didn't know about Daniel Pollock, he musta had some serious issues, poor guy.
Good Evening Another great film made in Melbourne, SPOTSWOOD , Sir Anthony Hopkins, Russell Crowe, Toni Collette, would be great if your team could find the locations, love your videos, keep up the great work ❤️🙏🏻
YES ! Finally Romper Stomper. I was one of many requesters, difficult film content, yes, I know; But I think you did a great job. I was also fascinated that they used the actual address for the house for Davey’s Grandmother and I would love to know if the gnome collection was actually there also ! I knew about their lair/hideout (?) location and would love to know if the interior shots were actually filmed inside. I love your Movie Location videos and can’t wait for more.
Anyone know what their old hideout is currently used for? Kinda shame it changed so much since i loved that old look with the Bulldog picture and all but glad the building still stands and got some needed restoration.
A great video about Romper Stomper and some other iconic Australian movies. I noticed that where the Warehouse is where the skinheads lived next to the rail line and that also opposite that is the apartment that Mick Molloy had in Bad Eggs (I just happened to watch that last night)
Would have been cool to see inside their hangout. Just missing the Vietnamese kitchen. Shame the bar changed and the warehouse gone. Bell's Beach was also at the end of the movie point break.
Yeah but did you find that crab ? Great work. Remember when that movie hit the states. It reminded me of A Clockwork Orange. We knew toy stores wouldnt be selling action figures anytime soon.
By the way, as im not Australian i may be repeating something thats general knowledge but the guy that played "Davey" came to a untimely end shortly after the film.
@@scenxad Daniel Pollock played "Davey". He was a heroin addict in real life. His drug addiction caused him severe depression, he committed suicide before the movie was released by jumping in front of a train.

Can you do Mr nice guy with Jackie Chan what was filmed in Melbourne. or maybe spotswood. I would like to see a more comprehensive spot check of the big steal
Pretty sure Davey was arrested at the end and went to jail for life. Gabby may have gotten away with going to a mental institution or sent back to her father
I only know a few locations: •Richmond train station •The pub across the Rd from North Melbourne train station •the tracks at the end of Bunbury St Footscray crossing the Maribyrnong river & squat be fucked we pay rent was a tire & auto joint there •Great Ocean Rd Jan Juc or Bells to name a couple *RIP Daniel Pollock
@@PaulHagl at your own peril maybe. The last person I recommended it to, and watched it with, I felt the need to apologize at the end. I forgot how full on it was. Quite dark and drawing from negatives again. Excellent cast, but I think David would have given it a miss somehow. I thoroughly enjoyed your On the Beach work, as too all the others. Please continue this fantastic homage to Australian cinema.
Hey your an Australian movie guy, I need help finding this movie that I don’t know the name of that I watched as a young child PLEASE! Me and my friends would watch this crazy movie that played on tv(think it was on HBO because it played a bunch randomly on tv for a couple weeks and I’m sure it was R rated w/ foul language/nudity) that we all loved!!! Think it was from the late 80s to mid 90s(saw it late 90s early 2k) and I think it took place in like a dystopian future time period near the outback with all these crazy people drinking and shooting guns(one had a big revolver) surviving in this scrap town they all had built, living off of kangaroos, dogs, and even killing or eating people!! Think it was about a couple who randomly stumbles across this crazy junk town in the outback after their car breaks down, and the people won’t let them leave cause they’re afraid of them telling others about their crazy village and forces them to stay or be jailed, killed, or possibly eaten?(maybe its a cult, I remember a very crazy leader or “mayor” in charge they all looked up too?) The town is like a big junkyard with old wooden buildings/houses and even a bar, out in the middle of nowhere with the characters(dirty dystopian cult members?) always acting quirky insane and getting drunk while trying to kill or stop the guy/couple, or others from leaving!(think his crazy girlfriend actually ends up wanting to stay, she’s actually crazy like village people!) Like I said we were kids so I can’t really remember, I think the name of it was Two words like The Outback, or The _____ something. It seemed like a scary/horror movie that was also trying to be really funny with lots of adult comedy parts... Please let me know if you have ANY idea what movie It could be, it’s been DECADES since I’ve seen this movie from my young childhood!!

Maybe look at Brian Trenchard Smith. Sounds like one of his films. Maybe Turkey Shoot or Dead end Drive In.
Also try and watch the documentary Ozploitation. It may have a clip of it. It’s a really good doco about Australian film in the 70’s and 80’s.
