Back when this game came out, we were going through a period of demonetization on our channel so we never got to do it here on the main channel. Felt like a good time to revisit Ground Zeroes and then Phantom Pain.
In the aftermath of the Peace Walker incident, Paz Ortega Andrade is missing and presumed to be dead. Under the direction of Kazuhira Miller and Huey, Militaires Sans Frontières turn their attention to an upcoming inspection by the UN amid suspicions that they possess a nuclear weapon, which MSF believe to be an attempt by the Cipher organization to stifle them. Their preparations are interrupted when MSF agents in Cuba investigate reports that Paz survived and has been detained at Camp Omega. The situation is complicated when Ricardo "Chico" Valenciano Libre attempts to rescue her and is also captured. Believing that both of them could compromise MSF, Snake is sent to infiltrate Camp Omega and extract them if they are alive, or confirm that they are dead and if so, determine what they revealed to their captors. Snake also recognizes the value in rescuing Paz, as he believes doing so will convince Cipher to stand down while Paz will be more willing to discuss Cipher's activities with MSF.

Better late than never! Specially since it is always good to get back into MGSV.
If only this was released as actual content of the phantom pain, i reinstalled this game like 5 times just to replay this mission, the feeling it gives you has no explanation, so inmersive.
i agree, it was a hell of a prologue. Atmospheric as hell and the cutscenes are long but not MGS4 long, keifer sutherland actually gets to talk which is amazing. Imagine playing this and then immediately leading into the hospital mission absolutely insane
Cutscenes were amazing, but that’s like the only thing GZ did better than TPP personally

@@sliceofzurayea I agree. Every location had one thing you could infiltrate. Empty buildings or something like the airport that wasn't as varied as camp omega. If the story had more character moments and a few bigger locations to infiltrate it would've been even better

Fun fact, snake uses different shine waza techniques (choking techniques in judo) he uses kata hajime on the guards and juji jime on poor Chico to sleep him.
He also uses a variation of ashi guruma in mgs 1

Didn't he order Snake to rescue them? But he knows where they are. So does he decieve Snake? And since Snake is a member of XOF, although we play as his clone in tpp, why does he go against Skull Face?
And why do we hear Kaz's voice through radio? I didn't understand a f*ck from this prologue.
I'm gonna say this seriously, but we need a gas snake.

Why did skull face destroyed mother base again?
We don’t know miller wanted revenge to counter attack on cipher and skull face that was 9 years ago when diamond dogs weren’t prepared for war
Big Boss/Ocelot/??? (Skull Face) does a terror attack on MSF's Mother Base with the approval/knowledge of Big Boss so that Big Boss/Ocelot/??? (Skull Face) so that Big Boss/Ocelot/??? (Skull Face) can gain the trust of Zero and become his XO, so then he can infect him with a strain of the parasites to incapacitate him. The attack on MSF's Mother Base both serves as a way to rid Big Boss from the public eye, so that he can create "his" "Outer Heaven" , while also giving an in to Zero, so that Big Boss/Ocelot/??? (Skull Face) can incapacitate Zero. This role also allows Big Boss/Ocelot/??? (Skull Face) to attempt to release an English strain of the vocal cord parasite, however unsuccessfully, either due to it intentionally being unsuccessful as a sort of ruse in itself to the player, or thwarted by Big Boss's Phantom/Gray Fox/??? (Venom Snake)

To this day i will never understand why they didn't add GZ missions as well as episode 51 to TPP, seems like an easy win for Konami but I guess they truly hate MG fans by this point.
