Thank you Eugene. He's the only one here that ever doesn't act like an ignorant person.
kuiyeondae So everyone else is ignorant for not liking spicy food?
Jc Smitto Eugene is more open to try new food than most of the Buzzfeeders, thats all.
Jc Smitto no. Eugene is the only one that does these things with an open mind. Willing to see two sides of the argument
Neferati So that makes everyone else ignorant because they have a reluctance to eat pig blood?
Chris Recinos I mean, if you put it in perspective, pig blood is more organic than french fries, which is so artificial.
I eat it with hot pot and it takes freaking amazing. If nobody told them what it was, they would have probably thought it was tofu or something
Why did that one girl even volunteer in this video if she clearly wasn't going to even chew any of the spicy food. She literally just spit everything out, coughed like it was disgusting and kept making weird faces.
OH NO. A WILD WHITE FEMALE THAT DOESNT LIKE A CERTAIN FOOD. THE NERVE.
Dazed & Confused plus I found it kinda rude and gross how she spat back on the plate instead of grabbing a napkin or something. Come on it's just food not a piece of poop!
Anthony Delara That shit aint wild thats everywhere
Dazed & Confused no not everything just 2/4 she ate the potato noodles and the chicken
It's called experiencing/trying
Eugene and Ashley together just made the video a million times better
+Andee Villapando loL mE TOO. THEY LOOK GOOD TOGETHER
+LightningBolt785 they arent a couple?
+Tengel Frau they are ?
Ashley and Eugene aren't a couple.
+Andee Villapando Ashly**
I love Eugene in food videos. He's so chill and honest and doesn't freak out and spit it out like some people.
That girl who kept spitting her food out.. just stop.
Starving people in Africa could've eaten that food she spit out.
Candie Land why... she didn't' like it
Candie Land isn't that insulting? just so rude...
Vanillaite how can not liking spicy stuff be rude lmao
They could've given her a napkin to spit in at least instead of just letting food fall out of her mouth in such a disgusting manner. Did her parents not teach her any manners at all?
haha I love Eugene - at least he's not one of those close-minded ones...and definitely not ignorant ^__^
How are the others closed minded and ignorant?
lunayen He's always open to trying new food unlike others. The food could be really good and taste amazing but when people learn it's lizard meat they dislike it because it's from lizards.
Ann Nguyen I thought every single person in this video is trying out new food?
fukdisfukdat They are but they have this mindset that it's gross before they even try it.
Ann Nguyen Well, if the origins of the food were disgusting to them, it would affect their opinions of its taste. I use to eat fried pig blood and pork on a regular basis in a filipino restaurant, but I immediately avoided it once I saw how it was cooked. And no they didn't have an automatic mindset that it's gross. They thought it was gross because they were told it was pig blood. The origins of the food are just as important as how it tastes.
"We could fry them and make them much better" - USA
xD
Panda Express cough cough cough
Typical American.
Add some pineapple slices... - America
+Erynn Stone Actually you blame that on the Canadians, they're the ones who created the abomination that is Hawaiian Pizza.
I love how everyone complains EXCEPT Eugene and Ashly.
flowers AKA the Asians in the video
Who cares, most of it is nasty
And Jen
Freddie isn't too bad
@@aikaterineillt9876 Thats only an opinion of yours. Not a consensus or a fact
When Eugene and Ashley quote Mushu from Mulan
RaynbowSurfer Dream teammmmm
"The powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible eugene-ashley duo"
Yashhh
They should become a superhero duo. Best team ever!
RaynbowSurfer best moment from buzzfeed ever
RaynbowSurfer I ship it
The lady who spits out her food is so rude....
true. people should not spit out food like that. it disrespects the cooks that created the food.
Daniel Sun i was very annoyed with her also.
Daniel Sun She could've at least politely spit it into a napkin, she was very disrespectful.
But it's still extremely rude to the culture, I also extremely hate pickles and make me want to vomit but if I must have them I eat them with a normal face and not full of disgust or politely either reject the offering or spit it properly into a napkin as I've mentioned before.
***** I don't mean to be rude, but your avoiding my point, I'm forcing myself to eat something I absolutely disgust, they're horrid in my opinion but I eat them when I must and she didn't consume much of this food she tried and if I was absolutely disgusted by it I would spit it out in a napkin if I didn't have one just swallow it down extremely quickly. If she was allergic I'd understand but obviously she wasn't.
eugene was like the only respectful one in here.
not ashley?
+puddingsnaxxx They play things up a bit for the showbiz side. If all of them were just like, "Mm... too spicy" or "just don't like the flavor" then it would be a bit boring.
+puddingsnaxxx Because he liked everything? I don't get why it's rude to dislike something.
+Raul Cipriano its not rude to dislike something however it is rude on how they said they disliked it like "they could fry it and make it much better" or "you can do better then that" and spitting the food out on the plate and making the face gestures of it tasting like crap its an opinion i know but its kinda rude to say that to a group of people that have enjoyed the dishes for years but to each their own
Naj Nasron in other words suppress your bodies natural reaction to something you dislike because it will hurt someone's feelings. That's not my style.
No offense but in my opinion that blonde girl is kind of overreacting over a food....
+Nij Jin THAT is a very diplomatic answer. I like you.
+Thegamer 21 *Gasp* (Offense taken) Take that baaack! I love Kelsey Darragh!!
+limput2 you got a weird taste
Americans eating french snails: "weird but at least it's like totally classy"
Americans eating sichuan food: "literally garbage sub-human food omg literally need to spit it out omg"
some people have sensitive taste buds while others, like me, go as far as saying "i like it /is i don't like it
"
Aren't the reactions slightly over the top? I mean, not liking it is one thing, but to just spit it out in such an exaggerated fashion is just rude and ignorant. Props to Eugene who seems to be the only one who's more open-minded. And to those who say he doesn't mind because he's Asian, he's KOREAN, not CHINESE; not all Asians are the same.
Yeung Kai Ho Would it be fair to say that he's more open-minded cause he's Korean, and
순대 (pronounced soondae, which is pigs blood sausage) may or may not have been part of his diet growing up?
Cause he said before that mostly Asians are more open to different types of foods and I think it's true :) I would love to try all the foods they had tasted
Fawzia Hassan I agree that not all Asians are the same, but in this case I would say that yes Eugene is more open minded because he is Korean. They love spicy food and they eat soondae. Seeing how traditional his mom is on other videos I'm pretty sure he grew up eating Korean dishes
+Forumusic but couldn't they spit it out on the napkin...? I mean it's right there...
preach
Eugene and Ashley were totally loving that food!
It was delicious!
+Rachelle Reyes it grows on you. spicy hurts so gud
+Ashly Perez visit Philippines sometime because we barbecue that congealed blood and call it _'betamax'_, dip it in a spicy vinegar and it's all good. have your mom not ever cooked dinuguan? why were you so freaked out finding out it was a congealed pig's blood. haha
+Ashly Perez Uhm ashly why is your last name spanish? and you kinda look like you're chinese. :D
+Kayheart GG her mother is filipino. And I think many filipinos last name kinda like spanish name haha
America: "We could fry them and make them much better."
This is true for many food.
A more American statement has never been spoken.
+Kami Esmond so high? Your cousins in the Pacific Ocean have like a 95% obesity rate, calm down. Americas is almost the same as the UK and many other countries, with way more people than all of them.
No one I know likes fried everything, Jensen. The only 'odd' fried thing I've ever had was fried Oreos at a christmas parade once. They were AMAZING. Only had em twice though.
Christopher Palomo Yo... it's a joke... and it was strange that you addressed me so directly
Didn't they learn from home not to spit out food on a plate? That's gross. Get a piece of paper napkin or something.
I never realized it was such a bad thing. If you've got something in your mouth that's gonna make you throw up, spit it out. It's not like you're going to eat it again; it shouldn't matter if you spit it on the rest of the food.
yeah... at least she could make a small bite...
+Miyu Chan if you were the only one eating in the room then who cares, but if there are ppl around you then maybe spit it where no one can see...
It tastes great
halfbakedoreo And they're with friends, so it's different than being in a restaurant or in a public place.
sichuan food is the best.
so ignorant
***** NUH UH. Dongbei food is the best!
***** yeah
***** IKR!!!!
YES
even if they don't like spicy food or whatever that foods taste like, do they have to act like "I really really really hate this. this isn't even a food"? they should know that their actions can offend other people seriously.
ji yeon park when did they say the hated any of it, or that it "wasn't a food"... also how can you blame them if they do hate it, it's their taste
Samuel Effman actions speaks louder than words! i think everyone is talking about the white girl that split out the pig's blood so fast that she probably didn't even taste anything. then acts like a little child about it like gagging dramatically!
ji yeon park I agree. food is a part of culture
ji yeon park americans be eating fried everything and I didn't say a word about it
When I was younger, my parents told me that the pig's blood was actually tofu... and I believed them and really liked it. Now that I'm older, I'm not mad that I ate the pigs blood, I'm mad that I legit went a Chinese restaurant trying to explain the pigs blood as tofu and having the staff explain to me what it was after all these years. Thanks for never telling me the truth mother, father. Did anyone else's parents do that?
SweetxCandyyy In some regions in China pig blood is in fact referred to as red tofu.
SweetxCandyyy my mom totally told me i was eating a dog once when i was eating frog. i was horrified. so pretty much the opposite of you. thanks mom
+imdefinitelynotyu eatina dog O_o omfg
Well those blood cubes are called blood tofu except it has no tofu in it...
+SweetxCandyyy My parents lied about literally everything. >_> Eel, fish and stuff. Even with sushi they said its just meat, eat it son.
Do a Hunan version. They'll be rolling on the floor crying.
Yesssssss.
Kefei Lei As long as I get to eat the leftovers. Especially dong'an chicken! 😋
***** Come to Sichuan and these flavours will be even spicier and pungent. I didn't notice anyone commenting on the numbing Sichuan peppercorn flavours, leaving your mouth and tongue tingling, that's a huge component of the food here!!
bunch of ignorant Americans!
This is why. They should only eat their "Chinese" food at Panda Express.
Megan Twiss I said Ignorant Americans. I didn't say all Americans are ignorant. I'm an American myself. If you watch Trevor carefully, then you'll realize that even Trevor dislike certain Chinese dishes. But he does it respectfully. I only like authentic Chinese food but that doesn't mean I like ALL Chinese dishes either. What makes a person like you and others considered to be ignorant? It's the attitude and the air of how a person carries herself. As if all these people are just wacked out crazy to prepare their food this way, as if the world should only turn in a way that suits your needs. If you think Mona Lisa is an ugly painting then please don't pay the admission to go to Louver Museum. If you think caviar tastes like crap, then please don't waste your money on it. If you think authentic Chinese food tastes disgusting then don't try authentic Chinese food then. Panda Express was made just for you. You see, it takes true craftsmanship and many years of practice to make good authentic food. There is no need to be puking and cursing at it. That's just being disrespectful to the chefs and the heritage behind it. Because just like Mona Lisa and caviar, certain things are just too sophisticated for you to appreciate.
***** of course, what they tasted has been toned down to fit the American tastes, its not going to be completely accurate.
Jennifer Liu Which is a shame. It's so hard to find the authentic taste anywhere. Why would I go to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't serve actual Chinese food?
the two asians are always in videos i like them....( not to be rasicts) i think??
Thats not racist, don't worry. Their names are Eugene and Ashly (or Ashley, I've seen it spelled both ways) :3
It would be racist if you said "I hate asians" or something like that.
I like your pic though, Rose is gonna hopefully be my next cosplay :3 Finally a bigger chick in a cartoon that isn't a lame character! Plus I get to dye my hair pink again :3 I just need a con to go to so I can cosplay her XD
Jacklin Carter uuuhhh.... okay.. i like rose quartz!
Yesenia Rodriguez they're my favourites + andrew! I love them 3 the most hehe :) they're always very humourous
***** Nah you'd just seem like a ignorant pig skinnedd douche
I think you're disgusting and please don't speak for Asians sweetie because i don't think that way and neither does anyone in my circle.
dont u guys think that blondie was a little bit overreacting?.....
She always does.
Benjamin Dong it's what she was born to do
Well she obviously doesn't like food.
She´s also a lil rude imo, is disgusting how she speaks with her mouth full of food or spit it on the plate ugh, I cringe everytime I see her on a video involving food.
she's consistently picky, so she's alright...
i always wonder in buzzfeed videos if the actual dish is not very good or if they got food from a crappy restaurant
Well sezchuan dishes are known to be spicy. Most of them obviously couldnt handle it. I think that even black pepper would be too spicy for them xD
but there way more dishes they didnt try, they didnt event try the famous Sichuan dumplings, which is like the best food there
I don't think they would be able to handle real Sichuan cuisine...too spicy! I'm not sure how much Chinese there are around that restaurant but as it's in America they need to 'americanise' the food if they want to make money.
People in buzzfeed are not like Asians, Asians are trained to eat spicy food even before they can talk...
Americans have a different palette, less able to handle spice and prefer things to be sweet and/or battered & fried
Spitters are quitters
***** Unless they swallow.
That escalated quickly....
This is not the only country eating pig blood. In some places in Canada we eat pig blood sausages😃.
We call it black pudding in the UK and it goes great with a full cooked breakfast
Also in Spain, they are called morcillas, some of onion and some of rice, very famous the Burgos' one
There is also this korean food called 순대. Sorry if my korean spelling is wrong because I'm not that good at it
Wafflesas yep, spelled correctly. Romanized as Soondae. (Soon-dae) I've never had it though. Looks good.
Amelie XO I'm Yugoslav-Canadian, we have veres hurka, its rice and blood together for sausage. And the tripe is good if you make it spicy!
Ashley: This is a palate cleanser!
White dude: We could *fry* them and make them much better!
The way the pronounce Sichuan is hilarious. Sedge-won
you can pronounce?
Simo Hyvarinen I'm Chinese so yea I can pronounce it correctly
不就是四川吗?
I think Sichuan is commonly (or at least formerly) written as Szechuan in English , hence the pronunciation by the general English-speaking population. I also pronounce it as 'Szechuan' when I speak English, otherwise people have no idea what I'm talking about lol~
'Szechuan' is as a close as you can get to the Chinese pronunciation. Pronouncing it Sy-Juan however is incorrect.
i love love love spicy food- it releases endorphins in the brain!! u'll be in a good mood after you eat it! how can that be a bad thing?
sydandtaytum I bet you won't say that the next day. lol
sydandtaytum When you're like me, eating spicy food is physically painful. So no endorphins for me :|
***** is that a proven fact? if so that would be interesting.
peter320vn ? the next day i would just be eating more spicy food...i dont really see what you mean.
Emelie E it's interesting you bring that up. spicy food actually causes the brain to think that your body is hurting...which is why it releases those endorphins. i think one of the reasons i love spicy food so much is because i'm prone to depression.
I remember my first time eating a stew that had coagulated pig blood in it... I just went, "Oh, this is blood? Neat. Feels like tofu."
nice
Do Americans not understand table manners? You can't just spit food or wipe your tongue with tissues.
Wiping your tongue is fine, but the spitting was just them over exaggerating for a video
This is only a buzzfeed thing. Look up almost any other video of people trying foods from other countries and 9/10 times they’re respectful.
who does he think he is to tell an entire region of food: "sichuan, you can do better than this?" it's a special cuisine that's existed for centuries, he's disparaging a cultural heritage basically. American tastes are different and haven't experience the spice level before, however that seems to be their problem not the cuisine's. The way everyone kept suggesting ways to "make it better" by americanizing the food by adding pineapple slices or frying it is really insulting.
bookworm0820 Someone with an opinion.
squares4u The irony is I can have an opinion too but what fun would it be if I insulted your culture's food as a whole and said it's crap.....
He is one of those men who've tried different foods and because of it thinks he's better and more knowledgeable than anyone else.
Spicy sichuan tripe and beef tongue is awesome. Don't let any Buzzfeed hipsters tell you otherwise.
We (by "we" I mean Vietnamese because that's me) eat coagulated pig blood, you eat strange chemical that congeal together as chicken nuggets. I don't know why you act like our food is horrible.
Same. Like... Arrogant idiots much? (Not referring to all)
+yaadayaada but we fry it to hide the scary. i guarantee you if you fry it, and make it more aesthetically pleasing (for american tastes) it would sell like burgers. Tbh, eating blood doesn't sound appetizing at all, different cultures different tastes.
+elfunny1212 Exactly! I just can't stand people who go "ewwww" right off the bat at everything they're not used to. Your opinion of my food is none of my business! Haha
Strange chemicals that congeal together to form a chicken nugget? I don't think so, and though chicken nuggets are disgusting not every American eats chicken nuggets.
+yaadayaada Nuggets are crushed male chicks anyway
My heart just sunk when I heard "put some pineapple in this"
+M Ling Wang same like please dont do that
Pineapples are from South America, but if we add it to food and call it "Hawaiian" then it is alright ☺.
lol. I don't think coconuts are from Hawaii, either, yet people identify it with hawaii
Also "We could fry it and make it much better." The US in one sentence
+zee339 coconuts can be found anywhere with coconut trees I don't know if Hawaii does or not
It's one of the best cuisines in the world. They treat fish quite nicely too, and they have a flavour called "strange flavour" which is a mix of sour, salty and sweet. Looking at those dishes I'm not sure this is from a good Sichuan restaurant though... I cook this stuff, it's supposed to look different. Twice cooked pork isn't dry. As iconic dishes, there's also the stir fried garlic shoots with lardons, the tai bai chicken, cumin beef, and two things you forgot to show here: the cold dishes (Sichuan cuisine is famous for that), and the fondue, which is made with a very spicy broth at the table.
Pig's blood? You guys should try dinuguan. ;) And a barbequed chicken blood.
Mj A Is it good?
***** coughcanadacough
no. Please no. I thought it was chocolate
Annabelle Hagy yes!!! It smells good too.
I'm always so scared to eat it omg. I'm a Filipino that isn't a fan of it lol
I like that skinny Asian dude.. he eats everything and likes it.
Are Ashley and Eugene dating? They would be most lovely BuzzFeed couple. Look so good together
+Болотбек Курманалиев I hope that they dating, but nope.... they just a good friend.. bestfriend.. and the future lovers
I know right! when I first discovered Buzzfeed, I always thought Ashly and Eugene were either cousins, bestfriends, or a couple. Deep inside, I ship them. But it's obvious Ashley and Andrew 😭
+Бек Шейхзаде why you care? i am just here for the faces lol
They aren't. Well I'm just saying I kinda doubt it. I ship Ashley with Andrew #Ashdrew
nope eugene is actually gay
They should try Vietnamese food!
Definitely.
Pho id essential to asion people
Scarredninja asian people? You need to research your facts up before telling others about them. Because pho is entirely Vietnamese.
+Brandon Nguyen but all asians accept it right?
+Scarredninja Idk mang, that's like saying "Oh, you're Italian, so you must accept pasta, right?"
Which isn't entirely the case.
Is it weird I'd actually be fine with eating pigs blood given the opportunity?
No. Many cultures eat every part of the animal. You aren't special just cause you're willing to eat it
Burgelflangel Cinnabutters i eat it everytime with hot pot..
Burgelflangel Cinnabutters It has to be cooked at least twice. If you cooked it just once, I doubt that you can even keep it in your mouth. xD
Burgelflangel Cinnabutters Most countries eat it I think, Canada, Hungary, UK.
Pig blood sausages are a big thing in Germany
Eugene is always like "wow this is great" and so open in all the food test related videos he is in honestly. HE is a palette cleanser for this video honestly.
Eugene AND Jen in the same video? The Gods have been kind.
Why is it that people are totally cool with eating flesh, but find eating blood disgusting?
Wonder why people enjoy the flesh of the banana, but find the peel disgusting?
Very weak comparison, makes no sense.
Alana Nanana Not really, you compared a part of the animal that is normally consumed to a part which is not usually consumed, and I did the same.
A banana is not an animal.
You must be a vegan
I hate people that don't try new things when they get the chance.
***** Ugh I know what you mean. I had a white flatmate who I offered some Korean Seaweed soup to. She sounded super excited about trying new food so I left it in the fridge for her to try later. I guess she thought it looked gross and didn't eat it, which is fine but like..wish she would've just said no because the soup spoiled and it was such a waste of perfectly good food that I could've eaten if she didn't want to. Hate people like this.
Ladolcevita yeah :( I try any food if I have the chance :P
"We could fry them and it would be much better!" Not suprised, that this comes out of an american´s mouth :D
+King.of.Noobshire PREACH
Eats pig meat and pig fat, but can't handle pig blood. OK. LOL.🙄
+mchann in a swedish dish there is pig blood in it ( blodpudding )
I prefer boudin with pig blood.
White boudin with truffes
Il y a pas de sang dans le boudin blanc..
Derhek
nooooooooon sérieeeuuux je pensais qu'on avait enlevé toute l'hemoglobine avant de faire le boudin !!!
cause blood taste like iron :P
Sichuan is my favorite Chinese Cuisine, because I love garlic and I can't get nearly enough peanuts.
It kinda irritated me when the blonde girl spit out the food straight to the plate
Yohana I know, right? If she had done that to my girlfriend's cooking or her Sichuan roommate's cooking they both would have slapped her toothless.
sitting here like the german chick I am wondering whats wrong with pigs blood. We eat it. In like, sausges. And some regions make dumplings out of it. Peeeooople.
+Mew Tje and to be honest...that could be very delicious
I dont particularily like blood sausages (they add herbs which i kinda dont like) but the dumplings... sign me up!
I think they should eat those with rice or something
+Ario Budiarto Actually not all Chinese people eat rice with their meals. Northerners don't eat rice with their meals they eat flour buns and rice cakes. Even then its usually at the very end of the meal as a filler and is optional.
nah. all spice is really good.
As a chinese, agreed, for these dishes, it's best to eat with rice.
@@beachyblondieboo
Rice cakes (or glutinous rice in general) are also predominantly eaten in southern China aside from the Korean diaspora in northern China. Northern Chinese do eat more wheat products like buns, noodles etc
When I lived over there, most of this stuff would be served with noodles.
So many noodles.
If you ever wanted to get completely sick of noodles.......
I've literally been binge watching these food videos for a whole week now
I love Sichuan food.
"You can do better, Sichuan" - american guy
"Your 200+ calorie Twinkies can do better, America." - me
I have a crush on the short haired girl.
Yeah. I'm sexy ain't I
Grumpy Old Lady children in africa could've eaten you
god, such a waste of space
GASP I TASTE DISGUSTING
***** or they could eat me. im pretty sure i could feed the whole continent XD
She's gorgeous!!
Ok, straight up, eff the beard man, we can do better than twice cooked pork? It's one of my favorite dishes, and is famous throughout china! If you ask someone about sichuan dishes, they'll say twice cooked pork. And it's a great dish! It's meat that's simmered, then fried, with crispy lean meat, skin with nice chew, and even fat that does have tenderness! And, the meat is full of tons of flavor! Don't get me wrong, I love nice tender barbecued pork belly, but to say that twice cooked pork ruins pork belly is naive. Twice cooked pork belly masterfully makes the most out of the magnificent meat that is pork belly, and proudly displays how it creates a spectrum of flavors and textures out of the strata of the pork belly. Just because it isn't all tender doesn't mean it isn't a fantastic use of the meat.
So, no, beard man. Sichuan can't do better; your taste buds can.
don't worry, he will stick to his mcdonalds
Dillon Zhong Triggered much? I can see that you're an advocate for it but everyone is entitled to their opinion. You think it's great and he thinks otherwise. That's perfectly okay and normal so chill. And yes I understand his statement was rude
Exactly though, his statement was rude. It's one thing to say, "I don't like this," even "I hate this, it's disgusting.", that's fine. But it's another thing to say "You shouldn't like this," "You're weird for liking this," or "You can do better."
I will always love Ned. His reactions are wonderful.
All I can say that America has enough dramas, what u all need is respect......
0:20 Eugene they're called cows, not beefs XD
This is definitely my favorite episode of your channel.
You guys are so awesome I love buzzfeed
Somebody needs to teach good manners to that blond girl.
If this was my food cultural heritage I would feel so offended. Is she 3yo? Grow up gal! geez! :s
MAKI 黒猫 I was pretty offended and I'm not even that type of Chinese. I always laugh at people like her who only eat things like chicken fingers and fries. Sorry your taste in food is so boring.
She didn't have the guts to eat any of these lol
MAKI 黒猫 I think the blonde one spit the foot out because it was too spicy, not because she didn't like it. If you never eat spicy that can be really tough :P
MAKI 黒猫 At least the blonde girl put the food in her mouth and tasted it; the other bitches looked like the food was going to kill them. lol.
MAKI 黒猫 I agree. She'd always put something in her mouth and then immediately spit it out without even tasting it.
Ashley and Eugene were so chill about this haha
love their reactions
I just love how Eugene and Ash just quoted Mulan and mixed it with food
Wimps. Ma La all the way!!! My once-a-month is Chengdu Impression, the most authentic Sichuan place in Chicago. I've tried all those dishes, and I HATE tripe. Fu Qi Fei Pian is AMAZING. The only part they got wrong is that Sichuan NEEDS rice. That's what tones down the flavor. It's an important part to the meal.
Kenneth Kourt
Agreed! I love Sichuan food. Mala is the best, in fact I’m not too fond of these really sweet things, like Jiangsu food or Taiwan food.
that blond lady has some real boyfriend issues...
my mom lives in sichuam so its awesome you guys did this!
Eugene always makes these videos so good! Ashley was funny as well!
did the woman in the striped shirt swallow anything at all??
The blonde one couldn't handle anything lol
Eugene and Ashley are my favorites and when they're together it's the best 😂
I laughed so much with "It got mean like every boyfriend I have ever had".
I ate all of those and I love them all...
XiaoMing Question 四川菜
I cannot with the girl spitting her food out omg
Like use a napkin
I don't know why these videos are so satisfying to watch haha
coolest employee in the whole world.... thumbs up for ur courage.
isn't the blonde girl the same one who thought dog food was delicious?
What's funny is that the dishes they ate are actually mild for sichuan. For kung pao, we put habaneros on it. And we eat it medium
+The EnderLord The real Kung Pao called Gong Bao Ji Ding not only has chillies but Sichuan peppercorns only native to China. It's a kind of spice that is unlike anything in this world. It has a numbing sensation closest thing to it is nutmeg on steroids.
I guess Americans can't handle spicy foods
+Snow Pearl (雪珍珠) yes because a very small group of people depict all Americans
Grant Hill
Well... majority westerners.
+attlaus gmail Ive tried it when I travelled to Chengdu, which is the province known for Szechuan food. It was sooo good, I wish I couldve brought back the peppercorns home.
The start of the video made my day
I from Sichuan!!!OMG and Sichuan food is really really really some things you need to try! Totally worth it
The Asians were all cool with it. Yas! Represent!
ashley and eugene sit together, my favourite.
chick with the stripe shirt had me lmao!!! 😂😂😄
a good number of countries (in the old world esp) eat blood related product, eg. blood pudding, blood sausage, blood oatmeal, blood chocolate pancake.
"sichuan"? i thought it was spelled szechuan.....?
firebaby7 it is in some places, it's one of those words where translating the sounds directly into English is hard because there aren't really letters that are exact equivalents so there is a certain amount of interpretation used by the people translating :)
Sichuan is th REAL spell
firebaby7 Szechuan is basically a butchered way of spelling/saying Sichuan. Sichuan is the correct spelling for the province, it follows the pinyinization of the two characters.
***** most of the places that sell Sichuan cuisine at least in parts of the USA spell it Szechuan because its easier to pronounce and understand for non native speakers. This is probably the first time loads of people have seen it spelled differently :p
notmycupoftea ahhh thanks, see i didn't know that.. all my life i've seen it as "szechuan", and i've lived a few different places (i'm canadian).... this is the first time i've seen this, the correct spelling....
Girl: "im never eating blood!"
*orders steak medium rare*
FING LOGIC!
It’s not blood
I was so happy when Ashley commented Mushu's quote from Mulan 😊
Pig blood jelly porridge is one of my favourite afternoon dish when I was really small. Sadly, not much places sold them now.
I looove sichuan food! I love the spice, I love the numbing effect of the sichuan peppercorns and I also have no issue with the pigs blood as my family is scottish so we eat blood sausage(black pudding) all the time
Is anyone Chinese (Or maybe from Sichuan) on here? Like if you understand what I said:
我每年暑假回到中国, 四川有很多麻辣的小吃, 如果你去要还是想去中国你,一定要去四川玩和吃很多好吃的的菜!!
Ok, I will! I think I'll be going this summer anyway.
I'm Chinese tooooo... Do you eat pig's blood then? because I loved it all the time! It's delicious as fxck
this makes me love food ranger
i fell asleep for like 3 hours and when i woke up my chromebook was playing this video!
"Totally ruined the pork belly, it's dry". I dunno about that but bacon (typically smoked and sliced pork belly) is also dry af.
ugh the way they all pronounced Sichuan like 'seshuan'
Eugene is so cool and funny! XD And he's more open minded when it comes to food!
I love how Eugene and Ashly loved/liked basically everything.. Lol
"We could fry them and make them much better" most American sentence ever said XP
I don't get why people who are not wanting to eat certain food or do certain things, then they are suddenly labelled 'ignorant'. I don't get it. If someone doesn't want to do something that they don't want, doesn't mean that they're ignorant or close minded, it just means that they are not accustomed or not comfortable to do those things. Just because i don't want to bungee jump doesn't mean i'm ignorant/close-minded, it just means i'm not comfortable to do it. That's all.

They knew in this video they were gonna try new things, new food, yet some of them still refuse to eat blatantly.
If they agree to be on this video, at least they can try to taste the food properly.
"Was up it's Sichuan I'm spicy as f***" I love Eugene
Pigs blood is a common dish in Sweden. We serve it in schools even. It's blood and wheat mixed togehter. You eat it with butter, jam & bacon. It's really good, I think. I don't eat alot of pork any more, but sometimes I have cravings for "blodpudding" translated to "blood pudding".
