👍 Check out the Hawkwind track : 'Angela Android, she's on there.' Such a great voice.
Black Mirror just reminded me of when I was 16 and listening to Devo, B-52s, and the Specials. Of course, I also loved mainstream rock from Petty, the Cars and even ELO. All quirky, but so so so interesting. Lene Lovich's music fits right into this mix. She's now 74.
1979 was a BLAST !!! I totaled TWO vehicles that year. Almost died twice. I was both 18 and 19. Yet, here I am in XXMMIII...killing it!🚑
LOVE her voice!
40 years after seeing it the first time and I'm still googling this. That's staying power!
Exactly the same thought!! 40 years gone in a flash. The other belter from then was (This) World of Water by New Musik. Still a smashing number. Regards. Rod
The scary thing is shes now 70. Where are the years going as this feels like yesterday to me......
Quintessential new wave and so fun to dance to......!
I am old enough to remember this song being played on Juke Box Jury ( yes you read right ) and the panel gave it a low vote. But all panel members looked a bit sheepish when Lene appeared from behind the curtain and shook hands with all of them.
One of my favourites of all time, recorded at Eden Studios Chiswick where I used to have a studio.
Can't believe that Lene wrote one of my fav songs of all time:
''Supernature" by Cerrone. Kudos!!
I think she wrote the lyrics not the music but it's great
I remember seeing this video when MTV first aired, loved it then love it now.
I would love to see another cutey redo it ..😊
This is just a perfect ditty! Brilliant in its elegant simplicity,
This song comes across sooo well on a nice big on a loud stereo . Punk bars loved this one ! If your toes aren't tapping , ur dead !
Toes literally tapping as I read this.
WOW! Finally, after more than 30 years I listen this amazing song.
Cool! Cool!
Love you Lene! Between you and Miss Nina my 80s were the funnest!!!🥰❤
Such an 80’s sound and vibe.
I love Lena's counterpartner. The post-post-post punk artist Nina Hagens. I remember in the early 1980's KROQ radio station (Los Angeles, California) would play their music often.
i was thinking the same thing!!!!
Agree. I also love Nina's version of Lucky Number as well.
@@brindlefly Nina's version is great
And because Lene and Nina truely match, they did a song together: "Don't kill the animals".
