Thanks for the refresher on how to do this. I'm not particularly handy but I only needed to see a couple of minutes of this video to keep me on track. I appreciate it... if I had called my friend who showed me how to do this last time he would have just come by and installed for me again. You gave me the little bit of push I needed to do it on my own. It's an easy job! Thanks.

You need to make a loop. It has to go up and then down.

Just got the same dishwasher thank you for helping me out
You're supposed to make all of these connections with the dishwasher tipped over on it's back.... no leaning down on the floor like this needed or having to lift the dishwasher up while trying to put the junction box cover back on. Also careful sliding it as you can scrape the legs across the floor.... also the level goes inside the dishwasher when you open the door on the inner part of the ledge. I watched your video to see what kind of connection a Frigidaire has as I'm going to install one so thanks for that! lol

great video, thank you it helped me install this same exact model! i heard you say that the blue was an odd color. I am sure you figured this out but that is just a sticker that peels off to protect the stainless underneath.
The blue comment was probably just a joke =) I do wish the blue plastic peeled off better. I find that it gets stuck under other parts and the remaining scraps look bad.

I just got my delivered.I am going to do all this.But I just put in new cabinets and after dishwasher is hooked up I will put my new counter top on.I think I'll put 2x4's under it first so not as much kissing floor.

I recently removed the rest of the blue film by cutting around the edges carefully with a utility knife.
What size was the 90° water elbow you used to connect from the dishwasher to the supply hose.
It is the standard elbow that comes in a dishwasher installation kit that you could buy at a hardware store or home depot.
No offense but young lady calling that screw blue…you could never mess with any wires in my home!

You Guys Failed to show the finished product of installation of the toe kicks and the large mountable plastic undermount piece that creates a barrier from the toe kick to the area behind the dishwasher door. In fact per instruction for this dishwasher you are to remove the dishwasher door prior to the installation process. Although these shortcomings didn’t appear on the the video. I do appreciate your efforts. I simply felt I needed to let any viewer and potential future installer of this type of dishwasher to be aware of these steps that are left out of this video which should appear in the beginning and the end of the installation. Otherwise a generally helpful video however lacking several initial and final steps to the installation process. I am curious how did you deal with the huge gap that is left without performing the portion of the install left out of the video? Thanks again. Cheers on the new dishwasher.
Hi I would like to ask, I unboxing my frigidaire dishwasher but I can't open the door. no manual in the box. We did not connect yet becuse we don't have manual plus the door has screws on it which I already took them out but still I can figure out how to open it or take out the lock. Mayne you have idea that you can share. I saw your video and it seemed that you dont have hard time opening the door Thank you and.appreciate your time.
Try pressing a button underneath the front lip - lift the door button up - it’s a little like opening the rear door/trunk of a minivan.

Not necessarily. Is there a “dry” or “heat” button on your machine? Could the machine be defective?
Thank you for your response. Yes, there is a heat option, and even though I select it, it does not end up drying the dishes.
I watched this video: ua-cam.com/video/BsvwBkwRVUY/v-deo.html and learned that the heat drying cycle won’t run on “quick cycle.” I’m hoping that’s your (simple) solution. They also say use a rinse aid. Hope that helps!
I just installed the exact same dishwasher but I have a lot of water at the bottom after the first use.
Check/adjust how the drainage tube is routed. See if that works.
I installed the same one today but the spray arms aren’t working

No, you don’t want it draining by gravity.

The drain line does not remain across the top when installed.
Drain line needed to be 32 inches high minimum. Says in instructions
What was the socket size used for the level?
In the video, he said 5/32.
I almost shit a pancake when you said it cost $299! I bought one today for $475. I realized right away you're talking US dollars and I was paying Canadian $. Quite a big gap
I left my ground wire long like you did. After running first cycle, the ground wire sparked and tripped the breaker. I ended up taking it apart and cut the excess ground wire off and tightened. So far so good. Would a long ground wire or loose ground screw cause it to spark?

Good video, but I'm surprised you didn't file the metal after you snipped it. It's a safety hazard. Even your wife commented how sharp it was. Whoever removes that dishwasher in the future could easily cut themselves.

@@fixthishouse3303 Stuff like that just jumps out at me because, when I worked in construction, filing down metal edges for the sake of whoever comes behind us was thoroughly drilled into me.
What is that yellow wire?
It’s a piece of 12/2 Romex house wire with a hot, neutral and ground that happens to have a yellow sheath.
Can you tell us the model of the dishwasher?
I’m looking around for some paperwork that might have the model number. We bought it in 2020 from (Lowe’s or Home Depot - only one of those places actually stocked dishwashers, probably Lowe’s) and it was one of the lower end models by Frigidaire.

You should have cut the wires shorter and peel them of. It would be easier to put the box in.
What is the name of the metal thing you put in the water supply? Where can I get it. And what's the name. And next time show how you connect it. Also show the cover how you put it. Thanks.
Are you referring to the adapter? The universal dishwasher kit contains the hose and: a) brass, 90 degree elbow (3/8 to 1/2) with a compression ring and nut for the 3/8 side, b) 2 rubber gaskets, c) 2 stainless steel adapter nuts (1/2 to 3/8), d) hose bib adapter (1" to 3/8). Does that help?
