I run my own shop and its nice to see someone else take pride in there work. Being a true mechanic and not a parts changer is becoming a lost art!! Keep up the good work!!
This is a great channel and Wyatt knows what he’s doing. It’s refreshing. And I like that he’s friends with all the boosted boiz but doesn’t use them for his own notoriety. He’s just a good, informative mechanic. Keep up the great work brother.
You videos are excellent. You stop at major issues or trouble points and you explain a problem and you come up with a good solution. The time lapse part are perfect. The work you did on the wiring harness is better than factory. Keep up the great work.
I too am a mechanic, it's nice to watch someone show the ins and outs and not blab about dumb shit, also nice to see budget builds, not some kid with millions just slapping parts. Great work ! Hope all is well out west
Great videos! I've only seen this and your last video. I like that the fact that you know what you're doing, well spoken, and you get straight to the point. There's not a bunch of talking just to make the video longer. Thank you.
I just got my first 04 LB7, 164k on the dash and 81K on the new Engine with 20k on the built transmission. All 8 injectors have been replaced along with an Airdog 165 installed. Love the truck! And like how easy you make working on it look!
I run A1 chassis VWs, we have a similar problem with our transmissions as described for the transfer case pump, we refer to it as SMS, self machining syndrome. For VWs the ring gear will pop its rivets or the carrier bearings fail, and either the ring gear itself or. more likely, some of the shims will wear a hole through the case, usually into the bellhousing. Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm enjoying your videos, glad to see I'm not the only one who starts a simple project that cascades into several projects just to fix the stuff you didn't know needed fixing.
Great video. Looking forward to seeing more videos on the truck. Enjoy watching you work, and explaining things in detail, issues you run into, and how you fix them. Have already learned much about how duramax engines are put together just from the last 2 videos. Keep em coming, and I'll keep watching.
I've seen this video and the last. Great work. It's nice to see actual duramax work instead of the usual dmax channel where dudes refer to their trucks with intakes and tunes as their "builds". I'll be into my transfer case soon too. Best of luck going forward. You got yourself another subscriber.
I came here to watch the honda shit, but ive been thinking about this build more then any. i dont care for trucks. Duratrash, Powerchoke, Cums-Hims. but i really really liked watching this engine disassembly / reassembly. it truly gives me a different perspective. thank you!
Thank-you so much for the videos I'm new to diesel motors me being the lucky one I picked a LB7 not knowing what I was getting in to lol this wasn't supposed to be a project truck but that's what it became you have helped a disabled vet in more ways then you know thanks again
I like how you have gone about this rebuild quietly explaining it all and just doing it 'right' although big pickup trucks are not my thing as I live in the UK. To me a 'big V8' is a 16 litre Scania truck engine .... Can I gently suggest that when you are 'porting' any part of an engine you bolt on the gasket that will be used and then 'port out' to the gasket shape. And you should have balanced the turbo inlet port at the same time otherwise there wasn't much point in porting the manifold. Just something I learned way back in the '70s when I was building Ford Twin Cam and BDA rally engines. Oh and fast road bikes. Hope it helps. Keep up the quality work my friend ...
For your GoPro camera mount if you get a new gopro, instead of a suction cup you can get a bad hard drive from a computer and the head on the mechanical spinning drives use to powerful magnets for the read head, Since you had it on your furnace and if it can attract a magnet there you go as a solution.
my hat is off to you --------- you re a true mechanic you are not like these spoiled idiots that go out buy new new new you use your god given talent and use what you have there anybody can go out buy new put it together and make it run and call themselves great mechanics you take your time and energy to do what has to be done to get the motor to react to what you did to it keep up the good work kid you remind me a lot of me you cant learn without a few mistakes along the road you do ok dont let those other idiots tell you anything different
I am impressed with your abilities. I too have the philosophy of "I don't care how it looks. I care about performance." Subscribed and look forward to the next video.
20 degrees winter ?...gheez man right now its really winter in Montreal and its 20 degrees below zero...this is real winter...but keeping warm watching you do a masterful job keep it up
Hey Dude, I enjoy watching you go through the process of elimination before you start building. I was master mechanic at P&G and I came across some ignorant mechanics so I basically ended up doing most of the work my self. I noticed you didn't ask for help because you didn't need it. People standing around WATCHING you work and blocking your light is a pain in the ass. I really liked watching you do your custom rebuild as I have no experience on diesel...0.... I will keep watching.
Great Work! You are right when you own your own business you do have to do your personal work after everything else is done. :) I have owned 4 businesses during my lifetime and that was always the case. You are making great progress - as a young man you have a great set of skills and seem very proficient in working on diesels!! Thanks for the Video! Liked !! P.S. Don't mind the idiots ... they will be there all your life :)
Enjoyed the diesel vids man keep up the good work your very detailed on what goes where and how things work as well as work together that's awesome sauce right there brotha
Wish we had monster V8 turbo diesels like that in UK and cool to see a multivalve engine with pushrods. So much easier than shimming the clearances of 32 valves. What would be even cooler would be if you reached your 1000bhp aim of free waste vegetable oil. There are some getting over 200bhp on veggie with 1.9 litre turbo XUD 4 pot lumps.
Had that same problem in my 2005 silverado, the pump actually put a hole through my transfer case, i ended up just buying an entire one. looks good, love these old GM trucks! 400k miles is nothing.
nice lift!! mechanics car is always the last to get fixed!! way to get after it man, glad to see the passion!! never worked on the duramax, but lots of skidders, middl aged tractors "4020,4440,3020,2240 and so on lol" gotta love a good ol dependable diesel, 400 thousand he says, let er eat!!
Good stuff, maybe you should make a video about your garage and the tools that you use to make this easier (your lift, trans jack, engine hoist, machining tools etc.). Keep it coming!
your a honest down home boy your dad should be proud of you too for the knowledge you have accumulated for that point im going to subscribe to you you show that if you put your mind to something and believe in yourself you can accomplish it good going
Nice work. I miss the simplicity of my ‘01 LB7 (now have the LBZ). What Bendpak lift are you using and how tall are you to stand under with the top bar on the lift? I’m looking for a top bar lift but want to be able to stand underneath without slouching for hours. I’m 5’11”. Thanks for the great DMAX videos.
Man good video, I really enjoyed it. I just got this sick lb7 and I was wanting to add some mods to it. Could you send a list with part # and torque spec. Have you upgraded your turbo ??
I run my own shop and its nice to see someone else take pride in there work. Being a true mechanic and not a parts changer is becoming a lost art!! Keep up the good work!!
Josh Meyer cmon them 6.0 stud jobs and lb7 injectors keep the doors open.

I got an 02 LB7. First diesel ever owned. Zero experience. Thank you for your videos. Helps a lot.
You videos are excellent. You stop at major issues or trouble points and you explain a problem and you come up with a good solution. The time lapse part are perfect. The work you did on the wiring harness is better than factory. Keep up the great work.

I am really impressed with your attention to detail...I always said if you do something ..do it right the first time! Great job....Great mechanic!
Make it look easy. One reason why I keep coming back. I appreciate you doing your own work.
You do great work. funny how the filter to the mouth shut off at 1:44 AM, glad you kept the comment.
70 year old master carpenter super impressed at the skill of such a young kid.
I've seen this video and the last. Great work. It's nice to see actual duramax work instead of the usual dmax channel where dudes refer to their trucks with intakes and tunes as their "builds". I'll be into my transfer case soon too. Best of luck going forward. You got yourself another subscriber.

I know jack about diesels, but I really enjoyed this video and your last video.
pro trick : watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Gideon Judah definitely, I've been using flixzone for since december myself :D
I am impressed with your abilities. I too have the philosophy of "I don't care how it looks. I care about performance." Subscribed and look forward to the next video.
bro you got some serious talent man nice work.
My dream home would be a shop like this with a travel trailer in the back. Great vid man.
Need more of this duramax content 👍
I wish I had a shop like yours I could pull my truck in to work on it.

No chance diesel is the scapegoat for everything bad in England
MR. MEGA suppose we don’t run the risk of getting shot at school so it evens it out

I enjoy both your videos and your bluntness. My only regret is I can only give you one thumbs up. 800+Hp on your next dyno run. Best of luck.
New here currently stationed at Carson in Colorado Springs glad to see some diesel stuff going on around here good content

Sweet con rod swap out. Cheers from Australia!
Fantastic video - I feel like taking my truck apart now!
Great and to the point content, and you don’t use that garbage chipmunk music that everyone else does. You have earned my subscription, sir!
Great video. Know a bit about diesels and you do a great job of explaining
I really enjoy your content. Thanks for doing what you do!

EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! You do good work!!!
Fantastic work!👍
I had to do the pump rub patch too, sucks that the tcase mfg didn't design that so your pump doesn't cut the case housing.
Love the videos ...U got good work ethics for a young man...
great wrenching! Great Video!
U make it look so easy and ur good at what u do keep up the good work and i enjoy ur videos thanks
Awesome content shows how much you pay attention to detail and it shows in your work.. keep it up Wyatt 🔥🔥🔥👍🏼

Right on man! Clean work!
the gap in the lights and grill is there on my 05 gmc 2500 with the original grill. no where near as bad but there is supposed to be a small gap.
