Just ordered my 64 9 blade this morning, thanks for all the amazing install videos and the 5% off! Cannot wait to receive and get my in LBZ! Been driving with a truck with the dreaded two turbo codes for 3 years now.
Took about 8-10 days to process and ship. Wasn’t horrible. Worth it forsure. Now I need efi live. Getting a low boost code because of it being a little larger
I've always wanted a truck like this. Decided I needed to spend my money on my children and family instead. By the time I was in a position to finally afford a nice truck, I got a lung disease (COPD) and had to stop doing electrical work and then go on disability. Now 55 years old, and it seems that my dream will never come true. I would give anything to go back in time and do all the overtime I could and then just maybe. Anyway. Your truck is so beautiful. I love it. Hate to fill her with fuel, but would love to drive her into town. Thank you for the video, brother.
Can always go to plan B. I bought a 4 door Passat TDI and can have most of the fun with a much smaller budget. It's not great to fill up but it's a little better only having to refuel every 1600 miles.
Man I've barely ever had a bolt come loose easily, especially after a few heat cycles without putting heat to it and even if it's anti-sleezed. I pretty much expect it's gonna take heat to get em loose.
That sounds unbelievable! Neat that RDS is seeing some horsepower gains going to the 64 with a nine blade. Sounds like yours lit up really fast! Thanks for being the guinea pig Josh, anybody want to buy a 64 ten blade? I think I gotta have one of these! Lol
If you take a vacuum and tape a small peice of hose to the end you can use that to carfully suck the power out of areas that you don't want to powerdercoat. Use this trick many times. Works Amazing
To loud for my old ears... but back in the day. I would have been all about it. Lol.. great job RDS.. great video Truckmaster... don't let Earl around this.
I like it when guys start those diesel engines up when it’s like below freezing then just rev them up that diesel knocking sounds really cool the sounds of high compression like sticks of dynamite going off

I have a 2006 GMC 1 ton extended cab with an 8.1 that is now an 8.8. I didn't want a diesel until I subscribed to your channel. I hotshot with my 2022 GMC dually. I love my gasser but I will always have a Duramax.
Keep in mind what he said about the plugs. When I first started in mechanics, I had a coworker who didn't take one of those plugs out of a radiator before installing. Completed the install and he ran it. Need I say more. Haha
Reminds me of the aeromax turbo that danville was testing. I dont think it ever got released and dont know if it was a nine blade turbine. But either way it sounds good.
Wow what a difference in sound, it’s phenomenal. No smoke either, Gail Banks would be proud haha. Do you not need to map the new turbo with the engine?
@Truck Master I’m sure you love the difference from the 68mm to the 64mm. I just removed a FPE 68mm Cheetah and installed the 64mm. Day and night difference. I’m running 38s with a 10” Cognito and it will break them loose now. The other turbo had a lot more lag, even with 4.56 gears. Love the channel brother! Long time watcher and first time commenting. Btw, my forearms are still scratched and scabbed from those damn up-pipe bolts!
It sounds like a Lear jet! That's pretty bad ass! Keep watching for the afterburner to come blasting out the ass end of it... That thing sounds like it's about to really get down and dirty!
I do know you are an ex -servicemen Josh , and were probably NOT in the Navy , but you sure seem to like to follow that Navy “ Credo” , wherein it’s stated “ Paint EVERYTHING , and if it moves PAINT IT TWICE “😏😆👍. Paint or chrome sure may make something more visually pleasing to the eye , but generally doesn’t do Jack diddly for performance. Looks good though , but I personally don’t prefer to sound like a jet plane in my Duramax while getting “ on the boost” And just as well that the LB-7 guys , myself included, are to not be included in the 9-blade turbo line up from what I gathered watching this one . Thanks again for another great video . 👍
Harbor freight has a stubby air impact that works great on those up pipe bolts and fits in that tight spot. I used it on my LLY and it was the first time it has been off with 240K on it.
That is definitely a unique sound. I think I’d have to drive it for a few weeks before I could decide if I like the 9 or 10 blade best. When can you drop it by? Great video.

Lol I was like you want to go to 20psi or more when boost testing, especially since you can almost double that on stock everything. And those clamps for the silicone boots for the hot/cold pipes and the forced air system are meant to be tightened way beyond what you think those bolts can handle.

The 9 blade turbo has got a super unique sound, I don’t know if I like the sound more than the 10 blade but they both sound sweet!
Mine had a 9 blade 68mm screamer i had to turn the high idle off when I did early morning shifts as it would piss my neighbour off severely
I do like it but I’m shocked at the difference in tone. Completely different pitch. It’s more in line with a SC whine. Keep up the great content, Josh. I love the uploads and look forward to watching your videos, brother.
Thanks brother
Definitely like it so much different in tone.
Any 9 blade wheel will have a nasty spool sound, they are one of a kind noises
