Hi, Im from russian far east, specifically from Primorsky region. Its where panax, calopanax, eleutherococcus is originated from. Makes sense about defoliating after late frost, cause we dont usually have them. Also I havent seen one in a wild growing big, its usually twiggy leggy couple of stems not more than 2 meters high. And its rarely seen as seedlings, usually propagates itself by root.
The one he called Eleutherococcus gracilistylis is actually Eleutherococcus sieboldianus. The one before that is either E. sessiliflorus or E. divaricatus. The one with the deeply veined leaves looks like E. henryi to me.
Thank you so much. I love learning from you the stuff that Is not easily found elsewhere. Tell me more about how the potency is in the bark of the plant and not the whole root? It seems like all the information I've come across only focuses on the Root and not on the bark...
Brother,I'm a herbalist in the making, one thing I keep coming across is pages will say, this herb was used for such and such for hundreds to thousands of years, but science still doesn't know if it really works. It's like what you thought the natives were experiencing placebo effects all those years.
@@maragrace820 Very well put! Herbs generally have a dose time limit, so if you don't want to take certain herbs everyday then why would you want to take medication everyday.
Science is business, they protect fake knowledge to avoid loosing profits. So you are convinced that science is true but all it is is a bunch of fake stuff to make money on you. This is where the word zombie comes from. people are convinced that everything is done for their benefit but instead it's all a bunch of lies to make money on you. And secondly camomile is said to relax you but I don't feel nothing from it.
This man seems as peaceful as the plants around him. I could listen to him talk about plants for hours.

What does he mean? Eleuthero does not belong to the "ginseng" family. It is not related to panax ginseng.
Yes it is 😂
This was such a fantastic video, I just adore this man. Interesting about the origin of adaptogens, glad I planted some of these last year.
Does this plant grow in West Africa? The one with downwardly pointing thorns.
