    Why does everyone keeps saying nu metal dead in 2004 or 2005 it did not die some of the bands went more alt metal than nu metal it still here

    No, it didn't, with the exception of Bodies, Drowning Pool never was really big, what affected nu metal was several reasons, such as the genre was overblowing with many bands (and was this time that the genre was already being criticized), Pop music and specially hip hop and RnB (and before anybody tell me, yes I know this genres were already popular) was completely taking over the genre, Post-Grunge was starting to taking over the charts, the bands were not selling as the same way they were before, many bands were starting to distancing the sound and begin to experimenting with other influences and also Metalcore, Emo and the garage rock and indie rock were taking over nu metal.

      ​@@scottstefani7876I agree with you, the whole ideia of a music genre dying is just ridiculous, because no genre of music will die, it will just go underground.
