I saw Bo at tied down, so I went to buy a shirt from him at the merch booth. He was with Dan Seely. I went up and stuck my hand out and said "Hey man, how are ya?" and he turned around and started talking to someone else... his girlfriend saw the interaction and pitied me lol. Dan stepped in like a hero and sold me a beautiful Hardlore shirt. Much love.
met Bo at a Sheetz in north carolina and he took my app sampler and when i said “hey i think you took my order” he responded “yea” and kept walking. he also strategically spit chewed gum on the ground right in front of my foot as i was walking out and had to walk home in the rain with gum on my shoe.
I remember foundation played cave 9 in Birmingham Alabama and probably 60 percent of the kids that were straight edge had just broken edge that year. Thomas read names of EVERYONE in Birmingham who broke edge before foundation played. After he read off the names of 20 plus people he says “you will be missed” and they rang out and had an insane set.
Foundation is the goat, so happy for this episode. My first tattoo 13 years ago was a "when the smoke clears" tatt and I am almost done with a japenese body suit and refuse to cover it because this band means the world to me. Welcome back boys
Bo, Colin, gentleman it can't be overstated how great the job you do for the hardcore community is. Phenomenal. Your charisma is off the charts. Catch phrases have already been embedded in my own vernacular. Also. This EP made me think of a story you would enjoy. I stole one time. Misfits box set and velvet underground box set from fye. Employee chased me out of the mall. My car was a piece of shit and wouldn't start. He caught up to me and tried blocking my car with his body after I finally got it started I was yelling please don't make me run you over! Out my window. Never stole again. But I got the coffin box. And boy. Was it worth the effort.
In a world of Rise Records and crabcore, I was blessed to be in high school in Atlanta when Foundation was coming up. Got exposed to hardcore through them, Terror, and TUI. Living in Fear is another great ATL band.
"yknow fullas... we got this kick ass sound... we play real good... but were just short on a dope band name... anyway, time to pack it up and get back to hustling ipods... we may not have a lot, but atleast we have this criminal instinct..." and then a shared gasp and a montage of friendship
I was doing the merch table for Flatspot Records at the Rumble last year and I asked Bo for a photo as he was walking by. He was very nice and complimented my ECW shirt (idk if all the bad experiences being commented are a bit lol)
I saw Forfeit in a house in SC circa 07/08 and was told the same millionaires story while talking to them in between sets. Caught foundation at UB10 and knew they were going to take over the world similar to Bo’s story 90% of the crowd was wearing either Atlanta hats or T-shirts and nowhere was safe during their set
I was hoping to say hi to Bo at Sound and Fury this year but he was always just pushing porta potties over and then laughing?? Maybe next year I guess!
You guys should try and get Flza Flav on sometime. Man either played in or filled in for most prominent VA Hardcore bands in the 00s and 10s. Also, Iron Boots had a "side" project called Victim, the Boots backing band with a different singer. Do yourself a favor, Victim - The Electrocutioner.
First time seeing Foundation was with Twitching Tongues, I Exist and Warbrain in Australia a decade ago, the last show of that tour in Blacktown (Western Sydney) 2 fights broke out during and after the show which was bonkers, then 2 years later on the last time they play down under there were pile ons everywhere
I remember foundation vocalist got mad at the security at the San Diego date on the comeback kid tour and was about to get into it with all of them. Pretty sure some other shit happened at the in and out with the band also. Top 3 hxc bands imo
Foundation is fucking dope, before my time but I didn’t have to see them live to consider them one of the greats. That being said, I wish FYA wasn’t in the horizontally opposite direction across the continent from me so that I could see them.
Me and my friends would also steal baby jesus from people's houses. We did it once in high school and my friend's mom kept it in her closet for 15+ years until she moved lmao
Bo, the wrestler who got his face busted during the ladder match vs The Hardyz was Joey Mercury. I remember being a kid when that happened and how fucked up it was.
When you wake up too early in morning, and have to wait like 3 hours for The Lore to drop 😢 but all is good in the world cause FOUNDATION IS FUCKIN BACK BAYBAYYYY not even straight edge, but I’m more stoked for this than most bands playing these days. Saw Foundation at the talking head club (smaller club attached to The Sonar in Baltimore) on Terror’s KOTF tour. Shit wAS BONKERS. My powerviolence band cut our demo, down the road and I went straight to the gig. Foundation is eternal
i met bo at tied down and he shot me in the fucking face with the biggest gun i ever saw

Bo stole my lunch money and pushed me down the stairs at tied down :/

Pure savagery
Also, see you next Saturday 😊
Foundation at some sports bar in Birmingham on Have Heart’s final tour was my first introduction and it was so sick
I never drank or did drugs, i think sxe is pretty corny and never claimed it.
That's the hardest shit i've ever heard.
Must’ve been so funny to be a stoner witnessing that from the sidelines 😂

I was one of the dudes that played whiffle ball with the bands. I bought a windbreaker and a tour T shirt. Still have that T shirt.
I loved this episode because all the lore was from 2007-2016 or whatever…. this is the lore i crave
Thomas was always good to me in the local scene, during edge day 2013 he let me do guest vocals during Purple Heart a memory I still hold deeply.
😮
😢🎉😢 1:17:55 😢
foundation has never left my top 5 since 2009. 3 hours?! this is such a mf'n treat.
Was at the final foundation gig.
Planning to be at FYA.
In a world of Rise Records and crabcore, I was blessed to be in high school in Atlanta when Foundation was coming up. Got exposed to hardcore through them, Terror, and TUI. Living in Fear is another great ATL band.
I don't really get this. There was always a hardcore band, you'd always have one anywhere really.
There's always at least one pretentious comment.
That iPod story is the complete story of the Criminal Instinct pod lmao

@@djsmith1166 you get it
Turnstile owes Foundation a sandwich 🥪
One of the best episodes EASLIY ❤
“I’ll show you what its like” is scarier than “Don’t get fucked up”
drove across the country when i was 17 to see Foundation at UB 2016, soooooo excited for this ep 😎
was bo talking about when the hardy boys hit joey mercury’s face with the ladder
The slow zoom out on colin as bo was talking about stealing jesus was aces
That HYH record release show was easily top 3 of my favorite shows I've been to. Unbelievable line-up
Hella lored up on a Thursday morning
Saw Foundation in 2016 at Q-Bar in Darien, IL w/ Weekend Nachos, Freedom, Justified Defiance, Mal Intent. It was sick!
Man said Forfeit, GOD I LOVED FORFEIT
Want to see Foundation next year 👏🏾
100% missed Foundation until a friend i met online during lockdown showed me them. I can only imagine how many people have similar stories
Can we take a moment to appreciate his paranormal experience!
That ghost story was actually terrifying!
Harms Way "We Will March Forward" YOT rip is the legend
what happened at 9:13 was there some weird editing mistake
it was like Bo did two takes of the same line and they put in both
Knife Wound, Playytime, Foundation!
My band toured with knife wound. Good dudes fr 404 GANG
cant wait to hear that speech at the end at FYA
That TIHC aftershow in 2015 also had Beware and The Geeks on it!
great ep
The wrestler that Bo was talking about it was Joey Mercury. He was the one who busted his face with the ladder against the hardy boys in 2006.
Is the Yeun mentioned at the end the Yeun from Disorder vinyl in ATL?
The crimescene reference though, remember seeing them at swayzes in marietta lol.
Yo Thomas play another 60 minute set. The crowd definitely wants that
1:08:10 @Bo - Context Clothing is the shop you're talking about! Now defunct unfortunately
Final foundation California shows were some legendary shit
Traveling from Kansas City to see foundation at FYA🫡 I am unbelievably stoked
The animals. What a great band
I feel like Colin is embracing a Nardwaur style arc with all of the left field questions
I was doing the merch table for Flatspot Records at the Rumble last year and I asked Bo for a photo as he was walking by. He was very nice and complimented my ECW shirt (idk if all the bad experiences being commented are a bit lol)

Hello from Omaha. Sorry about the crappy experience.
"THIS IDIOT BEN" hahahaha he's still mad about getting caught 🤣🤣🤣
I hope foundation plays sound and fury next year
i got sent to the bad school too but i definitely deserved to be there..
Shout out to Foundation and Forfeit playing Corpus Christi with Green Jelly

It's time for a Rise and Fall episode. 2 of them are in a band called Wrong man doing the 90s alt-rock thing. Im sure Bo has lots of R&F stories.
lol I do remember that story in the news here in Chicago.
Sick

Shout out to nickel arcade in Utah - some fun times there
Speaking of stealing stuff, will Collin ever go into detail as to what happened at the Zia in Las Vegas?

need those dope shirts w the tomahawk X's back!
colin is becoming the hardcore nardwuar
I hope Mullet and Evil Sean find eachother and reinvent hardcore
remember their first long island show like it was yesterday
Skibbidy toilet mentioned 🗣️
Thoughts on Wes Eisold suing Cody Rhodes ?
the ladder incident was jeff hardy leg dropping the ladder into joey mercury's face
Bo and Colin are to HC pod casting as rock-to-fakie and tail taps are to half pipe skating.

Damn, been harding my lore for an hour and a half and I'm barely halfway there...
i still can't believe colin said skibidi sigma

3 hours? 1 minute 25 seconds short fellas. I want my money back.

I enjoy foundation in a much more evolved and nuanced way than all of you
