    I stumbled on your channel yesterday and I’ve been watching all of your Vegan Rican videos! I’m half Puerto Rican and half Irish (odd combination, I know) but I’ve been wanting to go vegan and not wanting to lose out on the flavors of home. This is a great idea and you’ve definitely got a new subscriber! Thanks for posting these videos!

      Rican through and through but my son? He is Rican , Irish and German .
      He is vegetarian so this is perfect for him.

    Omg! I am SO glad to find this! Since I went vegan I missed my Puerto Rican food so badly! I'm half Puerto Rican half African American and grew up on it!

    I do my own adobo and sazon without all the non-natural ingredients found in those little envelopes. The flavor is fantastic!

    Jeesh! First timer here. The beginning and the end just made me smile and made feel nostalgic at the same time. So many good memories of the family gathering for the holidays and always looking forward to the arroz con gandules. Vegan here since Feb this year. Living in the states 3 yrs ago. Thanks for this.

    Hi! I just found your channel in time for the holidays. You've got a new subscriber:) and I was wondering, I noticed your Goya adobo seasoning has a red cap. I looked a little closer and noticed mine is blue and it says without pepper. Will this seasoning still work? Thank youuu

    Heyyyy I‘m from germany and we don’t have adobo or sazón over here is there any way I can replace those two???? 😩

      Hi! So for adobo u can use any type of “season all” and Sazon is mainly for color and can be replaced with paprika. Also my friend on IG (Instagram) has a homemade version of both on his page @lacomidadejeremie it’s under the seasoning highlights on his profile 👍🏽

      Maddiegrluv yes they do. I don’t mind using it cause it’s not an everyday thing. You can sub herbamare it’s a non msg herb seasoning👍🏽

      There's no reason to be against msg like there isn't against GMOs. It's huge scare mongering for no reason. Msg has been used in Asian cooking for 100's of years and didn't give anyone health problems. Msg is naturally found in tomatoes as well.

      Hey! I actually don't know. I've never tried it with brown rice. I think it would work but you'd need to add way more water since brown rice takes longer to cook. If you try it out let me know how it goes! 👍🏾

    Yummmyyy just becareful guys the red adobo has pork fat in it so its not Vegan!!! The blue adobo is vegan

      Miriam Schiro it actually is vegan although it’s not the healthiest option due to the MSG’s I use it rarely so I don’t mind. If your referring to the ‘red 40’ in the ingredients, it’s actually produced from coal and not cochineal(carmine)

      SupaNami lol I’ve said it once and I will say it over and over again..... NOT EVERY Rican makes recipes the same! This is the way my mom (who is 100% Puertorriqueña) made it growing up and it’s the way I learned to cook arroz con gandules. So my Rican card is still intact thank you very much 🇵🇷👍🏽
