Hi I have a 2001 Lincoln Navigator v8 2wd, it will only start with starter fluid then it runs fine. I’ve checked all the fuses, air filter, maf, I can hear the fuel pump hum when the car is turned in the on position
@@BarboursAutoHelp as soon as it turns off it just cranks unless I spray more starter into the throttle body, then it will run fine I let it run for 45min and drove it several miles no problem, it just won’t fire back up once it’s shut off
Could be your fuel pump is bleeding down pressure when the vehicle is off. Usually when this is the problem though it will eventually start on its own though. I’d have the fuel pressure checked. Check to see if it’s bleeding fuel pressure when it’s off. Not sure if that is where the problem is but it’s a start.
Thankyou for posting this. 🙏
Absolutely!
Very good information Keith....I do mine every 6 months or so. Fram filters suck anyway.
Appreciate it John!
Excellent video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
From Buffalo, N.Y. Thank You so much for thus information. So it is OK to disconnect the plug without having to reset any kind of code?
If the vehicle is off it should not cause a code.

Do you hear a hissing noise from the engine when it’s running? I believe these are notorious for the PCV elbow leaking vacuum…. If I’m not mistaken.
@@BarboursAutoHelp I had that problem several months ago and replaced the elbow however it always started then just ran rough.

Hard to say then. How the fuel pressure when cranking?
