I love how you share packaging ideas. Huge positive vs. other channels! Everyone creating bath, body and soap products should be watching you! Keep up the inspiring work!
I just tried the Bramble Berry Soothing Oat Lotion Base with the walnut shells and it was very simple and made two 8 oz jars. Turned out well, but if you buy bulk like you said, it's cheaper to make your own. This project is also great for beginners :-).
Hi! I am so happy to have come across your page!! You are so sweet and down to earth! Thank you for all the sharing and demonstrating. Its so helpful for newbies like myself just to like, see what it takes and what it is that needs to be done. Again, thank you so very much !!! Blessings to you!
I'm so excited! I just made my own lotion following your video. I will be trying more options, adding a little kokum butter and shea butter soon. Thanks for the inspiration!
Adorable little jars! I had never looked for a hemp base lotion at brambleberry. I will have to try it for my sister, Chemo is leaving her skin in a dry painful shape. Thanks so much for sharing! Cheers & Blessings 💕👍
OMG, what a great idea! I was trying to come up with something containing aloe to include with my sisters' Easter gift boxes, but I am hesitant, as a rank amateur, to work with emulsifiers and preservatives. Thank you so much for the video, the unbiased option, and the packaging recommendations. Your expertise is invaluable to someone like me.
Thank you Mrs. Ellen for sharing. The containers are so cute. Love that it comes with lid inside. This is good stuff for the skin. Can Mica Poweder can be use?
1% EOs for daily use - 9 drops per ounce/30ml. for face cream reduce to 5-6 drops per ounce. Some EOs are much less or skip altogether (like lemongrass). HTH
I love your videos . Quick question why heat it up to add the essential oil could you just mix well and add the essential oil why break it down with heat?
With the lotion being quite workable right out of the jar I'm wondering if it's even necessary to heat it at all? I just get nervous about the preservative losing it's effectiveness . Seems like you could just stir the EOs right in?
I was simply following the instructions on the web site, but I think you are correct. If I was only adding fragrance or E.O's in the future, I don't think it needs to be heated to fully mix them in.
@@EllenRuthSoap yes I would have done the same thing by following Bramble Berry's instructions for my first go at this cream, I love that they have these bases now I took a look at the website and they have several very lovely basis now, I'm looking into the oat one it has me intrigued LOL.
Have you used lactic acid bacteria (LAB) as a probiotic and preservative in any of your recipes? I know they're heat sensitive, so anything above 144 degrees kill them. I've been thinking about making a lotion, using LAB as a natural preservative and want sure if you have any experience with it.
I have heard it pronounced E lang E lang or lang lang means flowers of flowers. I say call it what you want if you say Ylang Ylang people will know what you mean.😊

You were correct; it is Ylang-Ylang, emphasis on the Y.

Love your videos. I have that lotion and was about to make some but I thought I can use squeeze bottles? (i thought it will came out more liquid.
Yes, I think this would be great in squeeze bottles.
I love your videos . Quick question why heat it up to add the essential oil could you just mix well and add the essential oil why break it down with heat?
I was simply following the instructions, but I think you're correct, that if you're only adding E.O.'S there's no need to heat 👍

I have not experimented with that, but it does sound interesting.
Are you going to be selling these on your website? I would love to purchase one. Please let me know.
No, I'm not going to market these lotions. But they were fun to make❣️
What was the other essential oil? I got lavender the other is?…. Thanks 😊
Ylang-Ylang
Can you add CBD oil to the mix if so what is the ratio?
The base instruction say you can add up to 5% additional oils or additives.
I have heard it pronounced E lang E lang or lang lang means flowers of flowers. I say call it what you want if you say Ylang Ylang people will know what you mean.😊
Good point 👍❣️
Ellen the Y is pronounced in Ylang Ylang. It's not lang lang. You pronounced it correctly the first time.
