I always thought, I got plenty of time and sadly, time ran out! But I did learn Judo from a Judo-master ( "judoka") from a probably 60 year old, 5'5" Japanese man that could toss 6'+ guys like nothing, low center of gravity is crucial in JUdo, whether you create by dropping your center of gravity or naturally short!

I'm here because I really want to learn fencing. I recently watched a kdrama on fencing and I've been obsessed with it. There aren't any places where they teach fencing where I live, so I have to learn it in my home. I'm planning to move to a place where they teach fencing, hopefully my parents allow me.

Will this workout strenghten my leg and knee muscles/tendons/ligaments done on a regular basis ? Iam a beginner (mid 30s) and having problems with the lunge...it's like something holding me back because my legs can't fully support the move ..at least that's what I think

I just started fencing at 42 years old and still on my 2nd session. may I know what discipline (weapon) should I do or start? my coach advised me to do epee since he also an epee fencer but I just want your point of view on which discipline should I start based on my age.
I think Epee is a great choice. Epee is a bit slower then saber and foil and has less rules to learn. That being said I think you should try all three and discover what weapon you enjoy the most.
