For anyone that doesn't know curried chicken is Jamaican curry powder I use beta pack of amazon and other seasonings rubbed in the chicken left over night then shallow fried with more curry powder burnt in the oil first in a Dutch pot then add fresh seasonings spring onion garlic ginger pimento bell pepper lid on add water boil down till curry thickens add carrot and potatoe chopped add whole scotch bonnet and simmer till veg soft 🔥done

The lady that runs it is such an amazing person, you're made to feel at home as soon as you walk in the door, then the food makes you feel like she cooked especially for you. Great Caribbean food is fantastic, but there is a lot of average food out there. My friend is Jamaican and her home cooking is the best. When we've been to takeaways (Croydon area), the food quality never hits the mark. You need a place like this where Mama Flo is cooking from her recipes with her heart. You could see the pride she had in her food too. When that chicken fell off the bone, you knew it was done well. When curried goat is done well, it is divine. Salfish fritters are fab too. And that Danny is a right old charmer.
