We have one in Chesterfield called Margaret's. Only opens 3 or 4 days a week but you can guarantee whenever you go they'll be queuing up off the side road right up to the high street. Would be a good one for our Danny boy to try
@mikedown1250 a queue shows its busy and popular. They can't always go quick service. If you have a burger you have to wait for it too cook and sometimes you have to wait for the kebab meat or the portions of chicken etc

Moved across to Australia 6 years ago and one of the things i miss the most is a good traditional fish and chips supper, my go to chippy was The Skyliner in Cross Gates. Managed to get back to Leeds early in the year and it was one of my first calls....... didn't disappoint

Hi Danny thank you for showing your favourite fish shop. I remember the best fish shop in the area in the 1970s being Peter gate fisheries in York. People would queue for miles and they were superb. The only ones that are similar are from Garforth cliff fisheries and how about a mention to Skyliners at Colton. Thanks.
That’s a great price! Being gluten free, I never thought I’d have proper chippy again. But an exclusively gluten free chippy opened in my area a couple years ago! It’s about £12 for fish and chips. They do great curry sauce, and the batter is brilliant.

I used to get (large) chips and curry, but now i get (large) chips , fishcake (breadcrum), peas and gravy (shaws gravy is a bit thicker than the one you have there and is amazing). I went there a few weeks ago and it was under £12. Personally Shaws Fish and chips is my favourite and my local.

For me it's a sign of a bad set up. People see a queue and go elsewhere..Quick service is a must. Might be ok 30-40 years ago but not today.
