    This should have been dismissed & never made it to trial. Regardless of whether you think she is guilty or not, there’s SO MUCH reasonable doubt. And misconduct from the lead investigator. It’s so ridiculous.

      They said they have the glass from the bar he was holding inside her car tailight. That alone is enough to convict her so reasonable doubt is crazy to say before seeing the evidences. Chill.

      @@enzoinfinity1Yeah, i’ll believe that when I see it. Just like the pieces of her tail light that mysteriously showed up days afterwards, that only Trooper Proctor seemed to be able to find? There was already a FEDERAL PROBE into the misconduct around case, which in itself puts up major red flags.

    • @primalcritters
      @primalcritters 6 місяців тому

      @@brandybiscoff9685well since you like facts I'll give you some facts. Immediately following the attack to John O'Keefe by the MC alberts and the German Shepherd, they tore up their basement flooring, sold a generational home below market value to get rid of it quickly, got rid of all their phones despite a court order, & retired from their jobs. They also keep lying about the timeline when there's clear evidence to the contrary. Oh I forgot my favorite part, forensic evidence shows that Jen McCabe the sister-in-law of the alberts searched how long it takes a dead body to die in the cold. The forensic data shows that the search occurred around 2:30 a.m. when Karen was not present. On the stand, Jen claims that the time was different and that Karen asked her to make that search. That is her covering up for a bulshit story and the forensic data will show the truth. This is the same forensic data that police have been using for years to convict people but suddenly they want to claim that this forensic data is not accurate with the time doesn't make any sense. Also, A car running somebody over and killing them does not simply cause black eyes to their face and lacerations to their arm. A car running over and killing somebody would cause femur damage injuries to the torso etc. Any doctor would attest to this that has seen thousands of car injuries. What's more, you can look up Melanie Little attorney and the interview with the police dog trainer and K9 expert who has trained both police & protection dogs to bite. When dogs bite they don't merely leave puncture wounds, if they actually attack, they will rip and tear flesh leaving what look like tearing and stab wounds. I have seen tons of dog bites in my years working with dogs and the injuries on his arm are absolutely consistent with a dog attack & what the police dog trainer says. Unless that car grew some canines, the dog was involved in John's death in addition to humans. What is most likely is that he got into a brawl while in the home in the basement and the dog got in the action and then they took John out in the cold to let him die. I'm not sure if they intended to kill him, I think the fight got out of hand and they took it too far. What's more, at the initial investigation no pieces of a tail light were found and there IS video evidence of when Karen actually broke her tail light and it was not at the Albert's home. What was found was a wine glass by him.. this is clear evidence that he was in the home drinking even though all the McCabe's and Alberts who are thick as thieves claim he never entered the home. Oh, and Matt McCabe text albert, tell them that that man never went in the home. That man? I thought that man was their friend. And Albert replied, exactly. They were getting their stories straight .there's actually a lot more evidence and someone came forward saying that John did get into a fight in the home with Albert, Colin, Higgins & the dog got involved too, but when the defense asked him for a sworn statement he got scared and said he couldn't do it because he was too afraid of retribution from his fellow police officers. In addition, there was a plow driver that morning that actually saw John's body. When he reported this to his boss and asked about The pedestrian that was down on that road, the boss said you did not see anything and if you say anything about it again you won't have a job with me. That's how much this town protected those cops.

      @@brandybiscoff9685Sorry if she is guilty, the way the case has been handled, mysterious missing phones, Google searches miraculously appearing, Proctor not recusing himself as he was too close to those who were present at the party. The wounds on Officer O'Kieffe that do not correspond to a car hitting him. The sudden disappearance of the dog. It is a circumstantial case, if it had been investigated following the correct procedures, it may well have discovered air tight evidence against Karen Reid, instead it looks like a "comedy of errors".

    I know that cover-ups do occur. I come from a lot of LEOs in my family. I've attended many social events involving LEO family and non family members who talk "shop" every time there is a get-together.
    I've heard stories where conversations involving stealing 😮 planting evidence does happen. Although my family werent involved in the cover-ups, they were aware of fellow officers who were involved.
    So, i dont have any issues believing a cover up happend in this case as long as theres enough facts that reveal this accusation..

      Well maybe, I personally think the head injury he sustained is what ultimately killed him. I think that blow rendered him incapacitated and the freezing temperature was just a contributing factor. To know what actually happened to him would have required an ethical investigation and credible ME. It seems as that the police were directing this the direction they needed it to go the minute they discovered him on that lawn.

    I'm revisiting this Opening Statement after having watched the first 21 days of this trial. All 6 of those people at that house and a 7th & 8th accomplices should go to jail for the rest of their lives for 1st Degree Murder by conspiring to conceal John O'Keefe's death and cover it up. This case is fascinating to watch unfold.

    So opening statements obviously aren't evidence, but I suspect this attorney isn't simply talking smack and is going to present/elicit everything he stated through the witnesses' testimony and other evidence. Too much doubt in this case to convict her just from what I know already, so I'm calling it now: Not guilty.

    All prosecution parties including the judge should be investigated and sued into oblivion...lose everything...including their freedom. Pre-trial conduct by the judge and prosecution was ridiculous. This case should never been brought...however, a real investigation should have been done. And that is why Karen Read was framed. The perfect scapegoat so investigation wouldn't look at the most obvious suspects. Disgusting behavior. The Massachusetts legal community should be embarrassed and horrified by this. But sham trials are becoming pretty popular these days. Yannetti and Jackson are going to expose the truth for this jury.

    My biggest question with this case is the lack of damage to the body below the waist if he was hit by the car... A Lexus is a big chunky vehicle yet his wounds are mainly head and deep what looks like claw marks on arms
    Also the people leaving the party should of seen his body on the lawn when they left in early hours.. and if what others who have followed this case have said is true he was dropped off on the drive right over other side of front yard.. yet was found on grass
    so lots of confusing pieces in this case but a great opening by the defence
