@Luga Portafolio I understand it. For someone who is really good at the game, it can and will trivialize things. And a lot of it does feel over tuned and "why wasn't this in the base game"

I've been using Chloe as a Martial Master. With her personal skill, Momentum and Lunar Brace/Bravery (From Eirika/Ephraim) she has incredible damage output.
The thing is Chloe has better magic than strength, as does the Griffin knight class. Rather than making her a wyvern I smithed her a Levin Sword. Damage never was an issue due to the high might of the Levin sword.
I did fixed maddening twice, first time I started wyvern and then griffin and I didnt know the exact growths but I knew I wanted strength, after I switched to griffin knight and with an engraved and forged brave lance (That was super evasive for enemy phase) and a flame lance forged and refined to have a little less weight, with Build +5 and canter+ she was crazy. I always had Eirika on her but in my second playthrough I did griffin first to raise speed and dex a bit and then second sealed to martial master when I got flaming fist or whatever the +5 speed art is called. Holy crap. I feel like on other units martial master was not cutting it for me since it uses both offensive stats, but with a few refines (its pretty cheap compared to most A rank weapons, I think it cost what the magic/weakness weapons cost to refine) it immediately showed results. I am not done with this playthrough but even though the lower stats put me off at first, with the +5 speed and the magic from Eirika’s emblem, your stats are pretty solid, and the emblem when engaged not only negates the extra damage you take with that weapon, but you heal SO MUCH that even with like 50 HP she basically heals fully everytime she doubles (So if she quads and gets hit in between she can still finish the fight healed up). Her speed growth is still solid too so it keeps growing, honestly I don’t know if martial master+eirika is this good on everyone but that 30% of the opponents defense on each hit is too crazy when you can quad most things, she is my new favorite delete button
Ok but hear me out. Martial Master Chloe with Eirika Ring. Flashing Fist despite being an A rank weapon only requires 5 Silver to max. With Eirika ring she has access to Eclipse Brace and Blue Skies. At 16 Str(Leveled her as a wyvern knight until I got to Chapter 17 and got the idea) and 13+3 Magic She's able to one shot those Generals at Ike's Paralogue. Blue Skies+ can offset the demerit of Flashing Fist of +5 damage taken and the +5 damage applies to each hit so if you quad that's +20. Lunar Brace+/Eclipse Brace+ helps you against high def enemies. This build only works well on Player Phase however being able to punch through Generals and Squishies alike is something nice to see lmao You can run Momentum for more instant damage but I would suggest to go for Canter to reposition yourself better.
you have to mitigate the speed cap for martial master, with speedtaker and flashing fist, and even then you would not double wolfs, griffins or swordmasters(unless they are using heavy stuff) the idea being having her quad with pure damage
I think griffin knight is one of the best classes in the game in general, especially when you build a magic griffin knight. Any unit with decent magic and a Levin sword can use that class with flying bonded shield to decimate packs of enemies and take 0 damage. I'm running griffin knight anna too and it's crazy how much the game has been trivialized, even on maddening mode.
@@theolong6689 I currently have Anna as a Warrior and she hits very hard with Radiant Bow and Hurricane Axe. She already has capped magic and res. I do plan on changing her class by chapter 20 because *spoiler* you lose Micaiah and others by the end of chapter 10 and I didn't get a chance to work on her tome proficiency. So I do want to try her out as a high priest just for the high luck stat and to make money during skirmishes. I'm playing on hard mode right now.
Hurray! A character I like that isn't trash! I was thinking of giving her a flame Lance for when her mag pit paces her strength, and it sounds like it's a good idea from this video.
With Chloe's 55% speed growth, Str+2/ Mag+2 or one of the Weapon Power skills will be more reliable than momentum. Chloe reliably doubles and these affect both attacks, but also counters too.
Watching this made me think, maybe do a sage squad playthrough, Anna Chloe and Jean. Sage bonus activates for all 3 (or 5 if you want to min max and use 5 sages) and Chloe will also benefit from passive trait 🤔
Still finishing up my hard run before I do a maddening and she is easily my best unit. I had her as a wyvern in the midgame but he strength has barely grown so now i'm in the endgame with griffon and a forged steel lance and flame lance. I gave her perceptive, canter and the Lucina ring so she's a great player phase dodge tank provided there are allies nearby which work with her passive, as well as the rare occasion to have a guarantee dual guard.
Her on Griffin wasn't really working for me on my Maddening run, what I did was after she hit 20 (so internal level 30, this helps with her gaining enough speed to double), I reclassed her to Martial Master and she worked WONDERS for me. Wolf Knights and Mage enemies were a pain but she reliably dealt with them all. Her with Eirika ring with her/Alear's passives stacking deals so much damage.
Cloe and Lapis have very similar growths. I understand that have different initial clases, levels, personal skills.... but in my playthrough both are fantastic flyers. One rounding enemies with good weapons, high speed, evasion .... Are you sure that cloe is really a 10/10 and lapis a 4/10? I second sealed lapis into flyer first chance.
I switched her to Halberdier pretty early after Griffon Knight just wasn’t appealing to me. She’s more durable, gets to backup and the damage grows a little better. Great candidate for Fensalir too
I prefer engage spam so I don't think I'll be going flying allear lol. Divine dragon has mediocre stats but holy shit when you hit end game and unlock the final emblem you can recharge engages like almost every other turn.
It's funny as I don't think I missed much other than not using Momentum enough and not having her inherit it. Her speed growth and being around when Sigurd is available is nice to grind up SP to get it is in her favor, but without that her damage falls off very quickly and nothing is stopping anyone else getting momentum other than it costs less to turn her into a flyer which gets the most move to take advantage of momentum. I'd love to see a tier list if you weren't allowed to use the Somniel so the SP a unit comes with means nothing as no one can inherit skills from the rings nor can forge/engrave weapons for them to fix their weaknesses.
I'm considering trying a Chloé - Martial Master build, it will probably end up being a mistake or it will require quite a lot of investment, but her growths actually might be good for Martial Arts. Also I dont like the Griffin Knight outfit, but thats just one small stupid reason. :D
I’m using Chloe MM on my current maddening run, currently on chapter 21 and it’s great. I’ve fed her no stat booster and no tiki cheese and she does insane damage. I would say the trick is to keep her Griffin until maybe even second seal time, let her build up that SPD and then switch her. Also, pairing with Erika goes hard.
She is actually really good as a Martial Master. You should pair her with Erika for damage or with Lucina for a 100% bond shield, witch in some maps is a real game changer
Chloe as a Sage maxes all stats except for MAG before the end game. She keeps up with Anna in magic if you put one spirit dust on her. (She'll fall behind by 1.5 every 10 levels but Anna starts with lower base magic). I feel like she is wasted in sage because she maxes every stat as a sage so fast.
On my first run I went with Lyn and I had Lance Power 2 and a Brave Lance with the +3 Might for +12 weight engrave, I think it is called Blazing. Even with the +12 weight after a few speedtaker kills she was able to get quads. I even gave her an energy drop and used some strength tonics on late game maps, but even with all that, there were too many enemies she couldn't kill with quads. She wasn't bad, but the build didn't feel like it was worth the investment. I'm at chapter 22 of my 2nd run now and I have had much more success with her as a mage knight. There are so many things that she can double which Anna can't, so even though her magic is not as crazy as a sage Anna, she makes up for it with chaos style. I currently have Mentorship and Build +3 on her and I am saving up for Hold Out so I can send her into a group of enemies and be invincible with Nosferatu.
Chloe only needs Flame Lance and Spear with staves for the other item slots, you do get a lot of magic as a griffin knight so flame lance ends up being very good, but both is needed for killing armoured units and mages. I also just gave her Corrin, even if she cant do damage the first time, she will next time with the reduced DEF/RES and prob can double the second time if she didn't double the first time and treat her as a sudo-carry sudo-support
So I know you're struggling with Chloe MM... but just cleared the final boss and she took three bars by herself. Momentum + Canter, had her spend some time on Wyvern Rider, spent 2 boots on her, Crit Divine Fist +4. She carried every map end game and could one round almost anything. Only thing I wish I had tried was speedtaker instead of Momentum.
Ran some numbers and Mage Knight Chloé is stronger than physical Chloé. It's an early previous second seal, but she'll need significantly less emblem babysitting for her damage to be relevant. She won't have to worry about quadding with brave weapons or fists to stay relevant damage wise, and she'll be wiping enemies off the map You lose flying so I don't recommend it if you're planning a flier emblem team.
I will be the resident Chloé advocate till the day I die. She is a perfect unit, jokes aside, I'm doing a run with about 5 sages on my team for fun, and Chloé is one of my better sages
Top 4 base growth rate total in the game (Mauvier [345], Kagetsu [320] beat her; Rosado [315] ties her), a great default class path, early availability, useful personal skill... tack on some really nice maps early to get her snowballing, there's no doubt she's an elite unit.
Mage knight chloe with levin sword and excalibur and if u can give her camila/soren is actually super solid with her magic growths and speed, would recommend giving a try
Martial master is a reclass for her. the class is very weak with out erika engaged next to alear. Keep her on griffin until erika for growths and she will be limited to last hitting and squishy targets unless she get bonus true damage from Erika and alear. High end fist weapons are brave style with 6 true damage per hit if setup right I really don't know why they crippled the only qi adept advance class between growths and TERRIBLE STAT CAPS
in fact it is best to switch to qi adept class asap for long term growth, cuz you reach the stats cap on spd/dex very quickly, therefore the prolonged growth from griffin is mostly wasted. But her dmg is quite decent with eirika in this class.
You give her speed taker and alacrity, and give her the Erika emblem she actually is a beast on martial Master but she loses being a flying unit and speed. It's also a really high investment build.
Now that you brought it up, I may try making Chloe a Sword Griffin Knight, and once her magic overtakes her Str, have her focus more on dealing damage that way. Just figure that having a lower weapon weight is gonna help her double and she'll be able to target the weaker of the two defensive stats relatively easily
Doesn't have to be all or nothing either. Mine is a wyvern axe/Lance, but she still does decent damage to armors with flame Lance despite the lack of mag bonus. Enemy defenses are very polarized in some cases and versatility isn't as valuable in some games but its still good
Would it make sense to promote her to a lance griffin knight then second seal to a sword griffin knight once she'd start hitting harder with a levin sword?
I think Griffin Knight Sword might be better by end gam but I def think lance is much better early and mid game. I did not run Chloe on my first run but she did do extremely well second run early game and made it significantly easier especially with chapter 11 cheese so def recommend her to anyone making the game easier especially early on.
As somebody who ran Martial Master Chloe, she's absolutely absurd. If you want to do this, give her Eirika and the +5 Speed Art and set her loose. Keep in mind, she should have Canter because Martial Master is 100% a Player Phase class, but with the true damage from Eirika, from her Personal Skill and (potentially) from Heavy Attack (Hector, DLC) along with a monstrous critical rate, she can cleave through anything that is in her sights with little effort.
It would be helpful to post the growth rates (unit and class modifiers) on screen and also let viewers know where you got this info (e.g. Serenes Forest, Triangle Attack) so they can look it up for themselves.
If you ever do a Celine video, make a special mention of her high luck growth and that she can take good advantage of Byleth's Divine Pulse. Because of her Vidame staff rank being able to wield staves like Silence and Fracture, and somewhat inaccurate tomes/weapons like Thoron or Levin Swords can turn a chance to miss into a guaranteed hit.
I saw this in my feed and just heard in your voice "just put a +3 steel lance on her and she kills everything." I'm like yeah this is a 6 second video lol
She is essentially the Seth of this game. She is like 6 levels ahead of the rest of my team, not even halfway through the game yet. Maddening is pretty fun once you get past the rough early game.
Flying is so good in this game. I don't understand people saying Flying is bad because Archers, etc. I went in with 3 Flyers in my first Playthrough. Running many more now on my second run and it's so much better.
Fliers are super super strong no doubt but it does start to get a bit boring running so many of the same unit all the time so I stick to just 2 or 3 fliers max per playthrough.
Chloe is honestly just one of the most busted units in the game. You can put her on literally any class and she can carry. She just has such good growths all around. Also I still feel like canter is much better than momentum. It only applies to the first attack and there are a lot of situations where you will not want to put your unit in the position they need to get the bonus damage. Its good on sigurd where you can get the crazy bonus movement for like plus 15 attack but beyond that canter just has so much insane utility.
When picking classes, there are 4 real things to consider. Growths, Caps, Weapons and Skills. (Maybe also movement in some cases) I feel like everyone looks at growths, but not enough focus is put onto Stat Caps and Weapons. Chloe has great weapons as a Griffon Knight. I am not a fan of the force swap off Pegasus, but while watching this I started to think. What about Royal Knight? Not a big jump in stat caps for any of the stats except Speed which drops from 49 to 40. However Strength and Magic go up from 40 to 43 and 37 to 39. The speed drop is pretty harsh but otherwise this looks good. Just a random thought and not much put into it but seems overlooked.
In Hard mode I tried that for the science and found out that there is more than enough exp available to get every character available (except Vander) up to lv10 before ch11 (which iirc is when you get your second round of purchasable Master Seals) without doing any extra grinding. So in Hard Mode, probably not. In Maddening though, you're absolutely able and free to do that if you enjoy min-maxing, since it does have its benefit in keeping internal levels low.
I had to bench Chloe on Hard because she was starting to deal no damage. 2x0 is 0, and I didn’t have enough resources to forge something that Chloe could actually use after so many missed Str level ups. Now that Maddening is consistent with growths, I will definitely give her a try, since I at least know when she’ll get a str level up.
I appreciate your consistency and hustle with uploading all these videos, I don't have any friends that play this game to talk strategy with so I enjoy watching your videos and seeing where my strategies differ/converge.

@@christophergoh2185 Ingrid is mid
I just throw Wyvern Knight on her and let her cook
Good content
Does Momentum proc with the Advance skill?
Great question, in theory it should because it moves you an extra tile
When we gonna get more maddening chapter guides Coffee? I’m struggling here brother.
I can resume making them soon :)
why is martial Master capped spd 28. it seems like they copied martial monks spd over with doing the adjustments
Chloe gaming!
Its good on sigurd where you can get the crazy bonus movement for like plus 15 attack but beyond that canter just has so much insane utility.
has any body tried her on royal knight?
Me just slapped Sigurd on her and she's dominated by no one
Nevermind, I see you got to it, and it's lower Lances ruin it. Yikes.
ahh this reminds me of the time i introduced my fiance to my mother
Cloe the only good starting character everyone else sucks compared to her ☠️ Really nice balancing
Its weird sauce but you really can make whoever work, I've had so much fun with warrior boucheron
@@DandDgamer she’s the only one that’s not a headache to make work. Slap on Sigurd and a steel lance and she slaughters everything
Is it worth stop levelling units until I get master seals to promote them?
So,you see that lyn is better on alcryst huh ? I agree
Lyn seems to be good on anyone TBH
Yeah but personal skill of alcryst makes it better. And on ivy astra storm becomes useless with her low strength.
