    How To
    Top 5 Landmine Leg Exercises
    -1-Legged RDL When using the landmine to do this classic single leg landmine hamstring exercise you have the ability to add a heavier load safely. One of my favorite 1 legged landmine leg variations
    Landmine Split Lunge With the weight being off to the side of this landmine leg exercise there is more of a functional demand on the core bc the weight is pulling down on one side. Great exercise for the glutes too!
    Landmine Hack Squat unique variation of a Hack Squat, putting a lot more emphases on the quads compared to a traditional squat and other landmine leg exercises.
    - Landmine Sumo Squat- Spine more vertical leads to less low back stress, and emphasizing the Adductors(inner leg). One of the easier landmine squat variations
    Front Loaded landmine Bulgarian Split Squats This landmine glute exercise is just tough. Ton of core demand, quads and glutes crusher!

    Thank you for your video. I like how you use the landmine to do Bulgarian Split Squat (BSS). I can see that potentially using the landmine to do BSS would help me greatly with balance. I find it hard to perfect my BSS as I have a balance issue. Every day, I am learning from you :) I look forward to leg day :)

    Yes, good landline variations thanks. Only one I dont quite see point of doing is the Sumo DL. Just do the DL....? For the unilateral work the landmine is cool because enables more work on the main target muscles without balance as a limiting factor.....such as this vid’s 1LRDL....makes a lot of sense to do that way, rather than falling all over the place with a dumbbell or cable

      I started doing landmine sumos to train quads in a way which is quite specific (ie. closely related to my sumo DL) but without the added fatigue of high-rep DLs - it also helps to build explosiveness!

    So why is the landmine split squat more transferable to sport?

    • @HybridFitness
      @HybridFitness  7 років тому +2

      +K3 Fitness I think you might be referring to the landline frontloaded Bulgarian split squat. The load is applied in front of the chest almost like a front squat so there's a heavy demand on the core, and instead of The movement of the exercise going straight up-and-down like a regular split squat it is a more forward and up motion. So the heavy demand on the core plus the driving force being forward and up is the reason why it is more transferable to sport. Does that make sense?

    • @denvergriffin5555
      @denvergriffin5555 6 років тому +1

      Yes . . . or tackling, or running, or hiking uphill, or shooting a takedown, or throwing a punch, or shooting a layup . . . driving forward and up off a cocked and loaded hip and leg . . . the list is endless . . . and the difference between that and "just up" is significant, and probably why the data on classic bilateral squats transferring to those types of athletic performance is a lot less impressive than many assume . . . and why single leg work has caught on and stuck with people who must perform outside a weightroom for a living.

    Sir, the usual problem with the camera man: you are describing a LEG EXERCISE, but for some reason just about ALL weights camera people hate to bring the camera below the belt or show whole body position, or show WTF you are saying you are actually doing. From 1:30 to 2:39 you talk about keeping THE FOOT flat on the floor, BUT WE DON'T SEE THAT BECAUSE THE CAMERA PERSON HATES FEET!!!!! LOL Please, pay attention when EDITING to this COMMON error in weights instructional videos. Camera must take whole body and angles for the INSTRUCTIONS being given by the instructor.
