This was the easiest subscription to a channel ever. What a stellar explanation of this movement. I'm looking forward to checking out your other stuff.
Thanks, John! Glad you enjoyed the video!
I added this to my routine this week but wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly because it seems like one of those exercises that could mess up your back if you did it incorrectly. Thx for the clear instructions
You got this!
I love pairing the 180 with landmine suitcase deadlifts. Thanks for a great visual representation of the exercise.
No problem!
Just recently added this to my list of landmine routines and needed to see if I had it right. I did. Thanks for the clear rationale and instructions
Glad it was helpful!
Wow, what a great description of this exercise. Thanks for sharing
Happy to help!
First video. Immediately subscribed. Appreciate the focus/ infrared view on muscles (I barely found out core is everything). Walk through was great. I woulda done it wrong if u didn’t do the “how not to do it’” set and the walk through was step by step
That's awesome! Thank you so much for the compliment my friend. God bless!
Started doing this exercise at the end of my push workouts after seeing your video. Fun exercise!
I'm glad you're enjoying it!
This is the favorite part of my workout
I love them too!
thank you. very good explanation.
Thank you!
Thanks
Been doing cable woodchoppers
Switching it up
I hope you enjoy them!
love the vid, clear and easy to understand, i do however have one question: is this a upper or lower body exercise? i do a upper-lower split training a week with 2xupper one pull, one push and 2x lower, and i was unsure were i could fit it in to my workout plan
So glad to have found this -- we trained this with the feet pivoting just like you showed on purpose, but without the "flailing" loss of balance (pivot is an important move for savateurs: unlike muay thai guys who mostly rotate, that foot pivot-and-turn is where we generate our kicking power). I've been flailing around trying to find out what the darned exercise is called. If you ARE moving the feet on purpose, what's the difference in the muscular work?
If you're rotating your feet, you'll also be rotating your trunk more. When you're all the way to one side, you'll be facing sideways and the weight will be behind you, which means when you initiate the movement to reverse the direction in this position, you'll shift emphasis to the spinal erectors.
@@RyanTreadaway Perfect, thank you!
@@russmitchell3806 happy to help!
I meant the weight will be in front of you, which means you'll be pulling backward. I said that wrong.
Great tutorial
Thank you!
This is my favourite exercise for muaythai clinching. The other torsonator exercise that I do is the punch press. Several of my trainers say that my cross punch is very heavy. Probably due to the landmine punch press.
That's awesome! As someone who isn't a fighter, I didn't think of that application. Now that you say it though, I definitely see the overlap of the movements.
@@RyanTreadaway Here is yours truly doing pad work. I was 76++ when this clip was made, and I'm not athletically gifted, just a regular desk jockey. ua-cam.com/video/Dv-vbV25SCQ/v-deo.html
@@sportmuaythaiv1045 love it!
I find your reminder @3:20 very helpful and now pay extra attention not to be sloppy with my form.
@@sportmuaythaiv1045 something to keep in mind for every exercise
There’s a land mine to love
What do you mean?
Nice
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Hello I have a kind of stupid question but I hope you will reply. How do you know when you have done 1 Rep? "Do you have to twist to the other side and back 1 rep" or is it "1 side to the next = 1 rep"
Hey Atton! That's not a stupid question. It doesn't really matter how you count them as long as you do the same number on each side. I personally count the reps as I cross the midline after I do both sides. Does that make sense?.
@@RyanTreadaway Hello thanks for replying. Yes that makes sense. I will do that myself.
Awesome! Glad I could help. God bless!
Like the workout ! Pity about the moustache
It is a pity you don't like the moustache.
Did this today absolutely destroyed me lol
🤣🤣🤣 It's a great exercise. It'll get you. lol
Hi bro. How many weight should I use and how many sets and reps should I do If I want to gain strenght and stability to make it an efficient workout?? I'm not really interested in growing my muscles
Hey Sebastian! That's a very complex question and one that I wouldn't be able to answer in just one comment. I do have a free workout ebook you could checkout though: bit.ly/freeworkoutebook
You can also join my free private Facebook group: bit.ly/Skinny-to-Jacked
Bro if you eat chicken and broccoli e every day and doing that workout will I loose belly fat?
The specific food choices aren't as important as the amount you're eating of those foods. If you look in the description, I have a free diet ebook you can download.
Bloody hell, his moustache is doing curls
That's right, my friend! Haha (I haven't heard that one before. Bravo)
👍
👍💪
Found this exercise in recent Jake Paul video
It's a great rotational exercise!
I like your mustache
Thanks, my friend!
I just want to say that the moustache is ridiculous.
'preciate that, doctor goobie...💪🏼
Doese anybody has question his moustaches? Is he a time traveler? Also they are so asymetrical... cant take this guy seriously this way
No sorry
thanks...lol
i am not taking advice from a man who unironically curls his moustache
Idk about doing something unironically, but I do it intentionally every day, because I like it 😉
Seriously, lose the man-bun. The 'stache is ok.
Sorry friend but I don't take personal grooming advice from randoms online. I appreciate the input though.
