Sincerily, thank you for getting those dialogues, in behalf of all of the community. It might not have a lot of views, or a lot of fame out of it, but when peoples will take about this series on threads, on discords, on reddit or on 4chan, they will have a way to find back all those fine little lines you took so much time compiling. In their behalf, we thank you all.
I... I don't think Saltzpyre understands what a Grey Wizard is. (Inherently dishonest, but also typically *extremely* loyal) 2:12 I mean. They did. Just their method of dealing with them was 'make sure no one pisses them off and occasionally try to point them towards enemies.' Because... y'know, hyper-advanced technology, thousand to one odds, etc. Unfortunately it didn't work. And now... well, this guy doesn't *seem* to be doing much, but then he does keep the people who are overtly doing things safe, and just because a Grey Wizard doesn't seem to be doing much doesn't mean they aren't.
The sequel surpasses this game in a few aspects. Gameplay loop, content and advanced in graphics. The shear weight of dialogue in this game is incredible, the sound design is far better, the horde sounds and atmosphere are far scarier and oh my god the artstyle is just so much better than Vtide 2 it hurts.
Overall it very much feels like a L4D vs L4D2, where 2 is definitely an improvement in gameplay but doesn't capture the same vibe that 1 nailed so well. Also "advanced in graphics" Ehhh is there any really? I wouldn't say 2 looks any better from technical standpoint, hell thanks to 1's nearly perfect artstyle 2 almost looks like a downgrade.
The style is the same, but the shift from urban combat and dark woods was somewhat lost in VT2, or rather, you’re witnessing the dawn of an attack on a mostly intact city compared to the sequel where the city is barely recognizable after the Pactsworn basically won the first phase Aesthetically I prefer VT1, there are signs of recent life even if everyone either evacuated or was slaughtered and the Skaven aren’t quite done with bringing the city down yet
Vermintide 1 has the atmosphere, Vermintide 2 has the stronger staying power for gameplay loop, which is solid to a future experience. Plus, getting new weapons in Vermintide 1 was PAIN you got maybe a chance at one weapon, randomly across all five characters. Vermintide 2, you get a chest, gives you 3 items, be it accessories, or a weapon for the class you had. Unironically, one time, I failed at getting a weapon I wanted in Vermintide 1 because I grabbed one too many loot dies. I hate when you get punished for doing well.
@@corvus9490I'd say more accurately art direction. 2 has the graphics, but 1 has superior art direction, and thus didn't need amazing graphics to prove itself, it just needed amazing graphics for what it needed. A 10/10 in art direction and 7/10 in graphics does win typically versus an 8/10 art direction and a 9/10 graphics, since it hits the art direction very well.
I like Saltzpeyer. A zealot he might be but he is a pragmatic one. Otherwise he would have not let Sienna help and probably have killed both her and Kerillian.

See, the joke is that the paintings are all from the original Warhammer Fantasy books and Salzy is giving them shit
The people who wrote saltz and his actor deserves awards.

They could make an entire sitcom out of Saltzpyre's adventures against wizards
they should!

Salt is so used to wizards and their bullshit that he is just annoyed and tired, not even surprised. Illusions just offend him.
"the not so bright witch is down" Sigmar Saltzpyre you didn't need to incinerate her!
3:19 is gold. I love how excited he gets over instruments of torture and pain.
He's got the same energy of a girl at a clothing store.
Alternative title: Saltzpyre rants about Wizards for 9 Minutes straight
Ratman: "No-no, they're not supposed to-"
Saltzpyre: "So anyway, I started blasting."
Would it be too bloody much to ask for some *R H Y M E A N D R E A S O N , H U H ? ? ?*
FS even reused that line in the first part of the Citadel.
*sees art*: heresy in it's most concentrated form
*sees multiple complex and painful torture devices*: i need me one of those

Of course, he can kill rat men and heretics all he pleases but hes forced to work with the wizard and his dumb hallways

Hey, thanks again for compiling these Vermintide dialogues. I really enjoy listening to them.
They definetely upped the camp factor for Saltzpyre in the second game.
Oddly satisfying watching Saltzpyre gun these rats down.
