+1 it looks nice and mysterios and fits early eras when You know little of the world but later I want the map to show if uncovered/explore, just not line of sight (as far as seeing enemy troop movements unless being near) as it's hard to plan from geography/terrain when all is brown/beige and looks pretty much the same as opposed to really see the terrain.
In Civ 5 there was Attila, leader of the Huns, who is concidered to our ancestor. But his personality wasn't accurate. In our history he wasn't that agressive barbaric type as ingame.
Fascim in this game is fucking OP for military conquest , Democracy is great for the economy and some fancy shit , but communism is just like the middle road nobody will ever choose
Everything in Civ 6 seems a lot bigger then it use to be, buildings being 1 tile big and all. Also some interesting new features, not sure if its a game changer though. Tech tree seems small, but I'm sure it will be updated
I dont like games like this one but im giving you 👍🏼 cuz you talking about this game with passion. Thats what we gamers love with all heart. See you :) !
and this isnt even the best nuke... you can research thermonuclear war and it can wipe out an entire city and all of its districts for 20 turns and anyone entering those areas within those 20 turns instantly dies... i can just imagine the trolls now... civ 6 will end fallout style..
With the District system, real estate is at a premium in late game, so if possible develop your offshore resources as much as you can. The Shipwreck resource tile made me lol, though. Government filters could be better by either including colour patterns or combinations of field/border colours.
That was the same as in previous civ games though. Back to the art style. I do like it because it acually feels like a big cities at the end game with al the districts and nightlights and stuff like that. Civ 5 cities looked quite generic and samey.
No, I ALWAYS care about what I'm seeing because that's what I like about CIV V, the fact that it isn't just numbers, you see the troopers fighting (YES I leave the animations on), you see how beautiful the landscape is, you see the leaders and where they leave. CIV VI feels like an Asterix and Obelix cartoon series. I'm not saying that graphics are everything (as CIV VI has more depth is seems) but what I'm saying is that if graphics were to be forgotten then I would consider using the "board" view that CIV V has instead of the normal one.
Lol! Thanks for reminding me abt the Asterix cartoons! brings back memories :) Regarding graphics, to each his own. I too would have preferred the art style not be this cartoony. Not a deal breaker though.
Darkythefox 100 It can never work mate. It has already been tried a lots of time and it always fails, because it goes against human nature and it is stupid.
Communism just promotes more power to the state and less power to the people. It doesn't encourages any competition, innovation or economic growth which is what the Soviet Union lacked and the western capitalist world was full with.
I hope this was the early build because there's a lot of "off" things in the background such as I think I saw a barbarian encampment back there. And wheres the Satellite tech to reveal the whole map? Also the hand drawn map effect isn't as pleasing and is more anachronistic in the late game. It's charming in the early to mid game but comes off as tacky in the late game to me. Also that nuke looked like shit.
I was stupidly hoping the map effects would change to a grid like blueish hue instead of the drawn map to match the times. Also, the war drums and everything play during late game combat. I'm pretty sure nobody is beating any drums inside that modern armour.
I'm sorry but a lot of the map just looks so cluttered. It's an eyesore for me. I like having natural tiles to make it realistic. But it's not just that.. finally being able to see it confirms that it's just too cluttered.
Brady Benedict In civ 5, things are flatter and there isn't 30 different tiles of city. Civ 6 it all pops out at you and you barely have any grass or natural terrain.
Maybe it depends on where you live but I think this looks more realistic to me, I live in England and apart from farm lands everything's pretty cluttered haha xD
I need help asap please! How to survive a nuke ? Is there a way to decrease the amount of damage ? Or loss If the opponent is few steps ahead what kind of movement i should do. Attack before he drops it ? Or probably move my defending units away from the capital and then get them back ? Thanks alot for reading and appreciating the tips in advance comrades 👍🏻
Blood Angel defending against a nuke is nearly impossible, like In real life, you can quickly assemble a nuke for M.A.D. Or try attacking them first but in the likely scenario that both of those don’t work, I say just abandon the city and remove all troops and workers and be prepared for a whole lotta war and fixin
WOW, when I first saw the new graphics I was a little bit annoyed by it and didn't like it much, then after watching few "let's play" video I kind of got used to it, and now it looks to me as one of the most beautiful computer games I've ever seen....best civ graphic by far, those cities are just gorgeous...
i never seem to be able to find aluminum in my games when i realy badly want to make bombers to drop nukes any one had luck finding aluminum and know which biome it spawns in
Defenitely not. You must be mistaking this for civ Beyond earth(Or whatever) as there are countless improvements. I suggest just Lets play video and I can promise that you will see several changes.
thx
Thank you
Thanks

@@TheChocoboRacer Joke?
"Greece went democratic" well isn't that a fucking surprise.
tom kor I was thinking more about history. Democracy originated in Athens, and even the word means "people rule" or something.
You're confusing that with a republic.
Euan Buddie no, Republics originated in Ancient Rome.
Somewhere, Ghandi just shed a tear of joy at seeing another leader follow in the Enlightened Path of the Sacred Nuke...
That legit sounds like something a member of the Church of Atom from Fallout would say.

Man I'm so excited for this game, everything I've read from reviewers points me towards preordering this game.
How was the game?
That nuke was not as beautiful as a Civ V nuke
So true
it looked awesome imo why are you on every vid hating this game -_-
Civ VI is not as beautiful as Civ V, so that's only natural.
Yes yes, whiny fans
I didn't even know there was an animation in civ 5 for the nuke. I got 700hrs :D
GERMANY DIDNT EVEN DO ANYTHING! Poor Germany...
Poor Germany. Always the victim. Won't someone think of the poor Germans?
watch the movie Joy Division 2006

congrats on 70k
wow I really hope they change the hand drawn map cus it looks so stupid in later era's
+1
Joren N I like it on early eras, but it'd be very nice if the map also advanced or changed when you get further in the game.
exactly
+1
it looks nice and mysterios and fits early eras when You know little of the world but later I want the map to show if uncovered/explore, just not line of sight (as far as seeing enemy troop movements unless being near) as it's hard to plan from geography/terrain when all is brown/beige and looks pretty much the same as opposed to really see the terrain.
I actually like the map design. As for everybody who doesn't: There will be a mod for that 1 hour after launch.
Nuke sound effect very underwhelming..
That reminds me: How come Hungary has never been a playable civ?
In Civ 5 there was Attila, leader of the Huns, who is concidered to our ancestor. But his personality wasn't accurate. In our history he wasn't that agressive barbaric type as ingame.
true, let's hope for better in the final version or a mod perhaps
Oh he wasn't? Really, so taking on Western Rome over a marriage proposal wasn't aggressive?
Watch IGNs nuke video, they really go in depth and explain the two types of nukes and etc. and I think the nukes look beautiful.
You can't see the whole map, even with satellites tech in civ 6? That really sucks.
You acually have to build and launch the satellite aswell in order to reveal the whole map and not just get the tech. So that's probably why.
Peter Kováč you have to launch the satellite as well instead of just getting it
Take that peter

"Good. Build more of them. You will soon able to bring world peace."
*Gandhi*
There are two types of nukes now :D And the other one is much more powerful and looks a lot cooler!
That some cheap fisher-price looking nuke there.
Well the first nuke ever dropped was 3125 times less powerfull than the biggest ever throwed (tzar bomb, by the russians).
*It took 10 Russian trained bears to throw it to a safe distance*
I dont like games like this one but im giving you 👍🏼 cuz you talking about this game with passion. Thats what we gamers love with all heart. See you :) !
O M G... the thermonuclear and ICBM get sooooooo much bigger and better :O insane
Great content man just relax
I hope that Bill Nye becomes a great scientist.
Hoping Gandhi was going to be the target in this game. But that's alright. Great video!
It's a nice animation but still the best nukes in a civ game were the planet busters in alpha centauri.
and this isnt even the best nuke... you can research thermonuclear war and it can wipe out an entire city and all of its districts for 20 turns and anyone entering those areas within those 20 turns instantly dies...
i can just imagine the trolls now... civ 6 will end fallout style..
there should be a melee unit capable of surviving fallout (not the blast) so you can take over the city you nuked
😉😁👍🏼 No need to beat yourself up kid; your city looks beautiful!!!
With the District system, real estate is at a premium in late game, so if possible develop your offshore resources as much as you can. The Shipwreck resource tile made me lol, though.
Government filters could be better by either including colour patterns or combinations of field/border colours.
I think only India should have access to Uranium. Just because.
civ 5 looks so much better in almost every way
civ 6 looks much smoother in my opinion. Everything looks actually connected.
it looks to "cartoony" for me, too much like civilization revolution...
InsertGoodNameHere totally worth in my opinion. just see how beautiful the terrain in late game looks
The unit sizes are ridiculously small. I can tolerate the cartooniness, but why have only 4 or less models in a military unit? It's just so dumb.
That was the same as in previous civ games though. Back to the art style. I do like it because it acually feels like a big cities at the end game with al the districts and nightlights and stuff like that. Civ 5 cities looked quite generic and samey.
I cant wait to buy this but I do feel that they made the graphics too "cartoonish" if that makes sense.
But once you start a game you will forget abt the graphics and then its gonna be like "just...one...more...turn!!!" XD
No, I ALWAYS care about what I'm seeing because that's what I like about CIV V, the fact that it isn't just numbers, you see the troopers fighting (YES I leave the animations on), you see how beautiful the landscape is, you see the leaders and where they leave.

nukes? this is going to be my favorite game :D
Gentlemen, this is where it all blew up.
You should be able to see the atomic bomb drop for a sec instead of an instant explosion
Hey Drew! i preordered the game delux version and was wondering how did you get the early access! Do only reviewers get it ? thanks! big fan
dropping your first nuke is like your balls dropping for the first time
I was stupidly hoping the map effects would change to a grid like blueish hue instead of the drawn map to match the times. Also, the war drums and everything play during late game combat. I'm pretty sure nobody is beating any drums inside that modern armour.
ur really humble but DAMMN TURN 407 I FINISH BY 200 LIKE NORMAL PPL
Looked at top corner. Noticed you've managed to piss everyone off in game XD
Late game is my favorite part. Bombing and shit is just so fun :P
Do you use the same face for all your thumbnails?
NO COMMUNISM, this can't be. When this comes out imma get Cheeki Breeki
same here dude same here xD
I played as ghandi and I literally did mass nuclear weapon production so that I can nuke everything in my way
I'm sorry but a lot of the map just looks so cluttered. It's an eyesore for me. I like having natural tiles to make it realistic. But it's not just that.. finally being able to see it confirms that it's just too cluttered.
Definitely haha, Drew says he prefers the UI in Civ 6, but the whole map is too in your face for me to bother buying
Taylor Beckett It's always been cluttered late game?
Yeah but with the new graphics, it just seems more.. noticeable i guess?
Brady Benedict In civ 5, things are flatter and there isn't 30 different tiles of city. Civ 6 it all pops out at you and you barely have any grass or natural terrain.
Maybe it depends on where you live but I think this looks more realistic to me, I live in England and apart from farm lands everything's pretty cluttered haha xD
did u build a zoo in cincinnati? feels like a must
For people who think the nuke is underwhelming, this is the smallest version, there are bombs that can wipe out two cities in this game :P
Do the games take as long as civ 5?
i kinda miss the old animation where you saw the bomb actually drop. the plane is now basicly inside the fireball
DrICHundrannere if you use a military silo or ship you will see the nuke going up then falling
how did you get your hands on civ 6 ? it comes out 21st October ?
7:28 That's when he drops the nuke. You're welcome.
I need help asap please! How to survive a nuke ? Is there a way to decrease the amount of damage ? Or loss If the opponent is few steps ahead what kind of movement i should do. It will be much more cool to watch the beautiful animations and scenery in the game if you zoom in where the action is happening.
Gotta love Baaston (Boston)
welcome to the early club, how tough are ya?
hi drew, whats spec is your rig do you use to run this game?
I dont know his rig but you dont need a good rig to run civilisation 6 or any civilisation game
Play more civ please I would really enjoy it.
i wish they will ad back ahain the folllowing:
the diplomatic victory
world congress
They Will... the devs said they wanted to see how poeple play before implementing it but it Will come in a dlc at some point 😊
Most likely true 😈, i just reposted what they sad 😎
I usually go the science, economic and military route

more nukes vids!!!
Drew is the AI improved
The more powerful one looks way better, check it out.
Wow....that guy is hot!!! I had to replay the video I was so distracted.
Does the nuke kill air units which are flying around the city?
you know when he was talking about fascism and the other governments, I was thinking of hearts of iron straight away.
dang your vidoes changed so much
drew how have you got the game before its been released ?
He hacked firaxis, together with all the other youtubers
Full out nuclear war here I come
Fallout 6
The Burger King that's after the war
Am I the only one who thinks Rome is actually pretty good
right on time!!!!!!!
Go to IGN, they ave a video detailing all the nuclear untis in the game (atom bomb, nuclear war head and THERMAL NUCLEAR WARHEAD!!!)
Are the giant robots of death back?
This is so weird, I expected the plane to take several turns before reaching this city
Why? In previous games, bombers and nukes attack the same turn you order them to.
Joshua Harman Well, it looks pretty far away. Even tanks dont go that fast in the game
are you serious? tanks go at 100km/h tops, airplanes go around the world in one day
André Guilherme Madeira Depends on the model I guess.
im so getting this game
I really want this game
I really dislike the hexes visible in the countries' borders and minimap. I hope they will change them.
I love your shirt
The nukes are so much better in civ 5
Its free on epic game store for a week!

Hey Drew ! .. HM fan?
You should have hired Trump as your leader -- he's built great structures through incredible sacrifice! ;)
She popped up because she deeply disrespects surprise wars
Is that a nuke or a thermonuke? I'm assuming the former since the city survived.
The next one looks way better, check IGN for it.
I have 4 uraniums. Nuke time
2 things why is the aqueduct attached to the mountain and WHY DOES THE AQUEDUCT ADD HOUSING
i never seem to be able to find aluminum in my games when i realy badly want to make bombers to drop nukes any one had luck finding aluminum and know which biome it spawns in
Hype!
Do the ai cheats in higher difficulties?
This just looks like an update on the graphics, I think I've learned better after No Man's Sky.
Defenitely not. You must be mistaking this for civ Beyond earth(Or whatever) as there are countless improvements. I suggest just Lets play video and I can promise that you will see several changes.
Canada spotted B-)
how did you get to play the game like a month before the normal release date
Hes something that this generation might call a "You-tub-er", and developers might wanna generate hype for their game.
Glorious
