Max and I stopped at Wall Drug when we left Sturgis. Easy to spend a lot of time there. Chris is a unicorn and Rich is quite special too. Thanks for grabbing life by the handlebars and sharing with us.
Richard i am 73 years old and still my daughter lift me on the back of her scooter. Love it. If it wasn't for the artherites i would still ride myself. Had a Honda Goldwing like yours. Best comfortable motorbike. Enjoy.
You two are the best 👌. I haven't watched any videos for about 2 months because we moved from Florida to Texas and it was something I do not want to repeat. You have so much fun together it keeps a smile on my face while watching. I have to say again what a beautiful country we live in. So let me catch up with you and keep them coming 😏.
Great point, that those little dashes between the dates on the grave stones are what really count. Everyone's achievements, from the great to the least of us, will all be reduced one day, to a little dash on a stone. The only part of us that lives on in this world, are the memories in the hearts of those we connected with while we were here. We should all strive to make those dashes mean somthing good.
I know a woman who wants to live in a camper and rides a motorcycle. My wife Joy has a BMW R9T and a G310GS and loves camping trips & gravel roads. Birds of a feather… maybe we will meet at some time. All the best for your travels.
I do enjoy your videos even as I am a bit disappointed that you skipped Pipestone, MN. All native tribes made the pilgrimage to Pipestone to harvest the soft red stone for making ceremonial pipes. Even today you will find Native families working their quarries. My Lady enjoyed Sioux Falls, South Dakota's Falls Park and the Palisades camp ground on one of our first long trips for her. Another trip from my home in Schleswig, IA took us to Pipestone and Redwood Falls before turning south to the Iowa great lakes; Okoboji ( east and west lake) and Big an Little Spirit Lakes on the states northern border. Food for thought folks on your next trip through the area, maybe before seeing the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota. Thank You again, you all are in my prayers Hoka Hey
I really enjoyed this episode, and I wholeheartedly agree with life being short...make every moment count. You two have gotten that art pretty well down.
Y’all are awesome!! I went to Sturgis in 2005 and couldn’t resist all the Wall Drug signs along the way, had to check it out myself. Glad i did! Keep it up guys, Ride On. Keep Richard straight!👍🏻
3:00-music perfect for this shot. When I traveled with my wife and daughters I would try to bypass places like Wall Drugs. It would take 5 hours to get them back in the car. But the 5 cent coffee is a great hook Therefore I ride only solitary on my bike nowadays.😊😊
you guys are doing what ive wanted to do all my life travel across America am from the uk but now i live in Thailand glad i found your channel . love the bikes guys
Free Ice Water, 5Cent coffee and $10 dougnut. And Richard smiled so big right after saying that. Guess that means it was worth it. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't worth it hahaha Beautiful editing Richard. SD is great riding!!! Enjoyed the Ingalls history/grave stop too.
Another great video guys. Been a subscriber for quite a while now. I’ve been riding street bikes since 77’ and whole heartily agree “Get out and live”. I feel more alive on two wheels than anything else as I’m sure you do too. Always look forward to your next adventure.
This was an exciting episode for us. My Wife is from South Dakota and because of that we've spent some time meandering around the place. We have relatives there and keep up with a lot of the South Dakota news. The people are wonderful. We love Wall, SD and have stayed there, enjoyed the ice water and coffee, and have sat on the same benches next to the figures you've enjoyed during your visit. Right now I'm dying for one of those ten dollar rolls. Yes, this one was fun for us. Ride Safe! Thanks for Sharing!
We all are as young as we feel, you two were feeling pretty young on the slide. The swings always bring back childhood memories for me. Love your videos, stay safe out there.
I love this adventure you two take us on weekly. Living the dream through your video's. Hope to take two weeks next year on the bike and ride sun up to sun down seeing more of this great country. Your safety is in my prayers, awaiting next weeks adventure.....
I love those plains, the wide open spaces, the pastel colors under a blue sky. I crossed the Dakotas a few times riding my Harley and it has been absolutely G-R--E-A-T! I live in Europe and I will be able to go back to US finally - end of November. Probably too late to ride my bike, but I will see her again....and tell her about the tour I have in mind for the Spring in the SW....
South Dakota is a magical place. Mrs Geezer and I love it there. When we lived in Colorado we would go to the Black Hills quite a bit NOT just for Sturgis. We traded it for Florida for a multitude of reasons. Yes the weather is as unpredictable as a room full of cats.
I like the history portions of your videos. I was inspired to research the Ingalls family history. Interesting stuff. Keep up the good work..... entertaining...
Good video. I've traveled South Dakota extensively in my 30 trips to the Sturgis rally. But you have shown a few things I have not seen. My wife and I both ride and we enjoy your videos. We have gone back and are watching them in order from the beginning. Interesting how you have evolved.
I kept waiting for Richard to say "The people living around this cemetery are just dying to get in!" I know, I know it's cheesy but I always tell this same thing to my grandkids. LOL
As a kid, when the slide was a little slow, we would take turns sliding down sitting on a piece of waxed paper. After several turns, it was super slick! As for Wall Drug, I think I started seeing their signs shortly after leaving Denver. Still have a bumper sticker from almost 40 years ago that reads 'HAVE YOU DUG WALL DRUG?' Cool place regardless!
Watch out on those midwest (Nebraska) gravel roads after rain , they can be so slick, like ice. Clay under gravel, fell down twice in 2 miles doing 15-25mph. We went by the Mineral Springs hotel ,didn't stop...always next time. Love your videos! Chris do your knees ever get stiff from riding??
As kids, we use to prime the metal slides by going down on top of wax paper, then, it was like, greased lightning, we would shoot off the end like a rocket.
Wow!!! Brings back memories. We took a trip way back in the day through SD in a hippie van and came up on Wall Drug. We came from extreme south Alabama with no banjo. Your videos make for a long week waiting for the next on. Thank you so much.

Personally I think the Blackhills and surrounding area is some of the most interesting country in the US. It does typically get pretty hot and windy during the summer but makes up for it in the winter when it's really windy and freezing. When in northern MN you forgot to mention the state bird (mosquito ) Oh ya we have wood ticks too. Another great video
Maybe visit Mansfield, Mo. (After river road trip?) Laura Ingalls-Wilder homestead and museum. Now gonna look up river road, safe travels and have fun like kids 😉
Great tour of S. Dakota. You made me laugh right at the end singing the spam song. Brings back 50 year old memories of coming home from the Cumberland’s Head pub with my mates to watch Monty 🐍. 👍
Came out of Badlands during Sturgis last year, and spent about 3 hours at Wall Drug. What a blast to see all of the stuff I remember as a kid when we stopped at places like Stuckey's in the midwest. Great video Richard you are correct, hard to find a woman that will camp and ride motorcycles all day Yes we will say pants making it faster down the slide, nothing about size or weight. 😀😂 I love the small towns out west. Good news the neighbors don’t eat much 🤣
Great videos. I've been followed you since you left home. I'm looking forward to your river road trip. I was planning this same trip ,but the covid hit us and it put an end to that plan. Now that they are opening up the Canadian border I may try again next summer. Hope to get some useful information. Keep up the good work
I did the Ingalls homestead tour & Walnut Grove in Mn. Thanks for the grave tour. Enjoy the open roads of the praries. Do you know what a soddie is?? Testing!
I was a Junior in high school when I lived in Wall, SD. Like I said before, I worked at Wall Drug store. (I did my license driving tests, both car and bike there.) I did the serpentine on my bike driving on a parking lot at the bank next door to Wall Drug. One day I was working in Wall Drug and I'd seen many cattle prods and I couldn't believe two D cell batteries could make cows jump so bad. I picked up a short one... (Just 17 yrs old) and I stuck the prod end in one hand and pushed the button with my other hand. I gave a little scream as it spun me around and the cattle prod flew through the air going a couple aisles over. As I looked around, I saw old lady Hustead standing there watching me. I sheepishly said, "Excuse me", and started to walk away. As I was leaving I could see her cracking up and laughing at me so hard. I've never disbelieve those cattle prods because I learned first hand why the make even huge bulls jump and move to get away. My Dad and I used to go to old city parks and schools to try metal detecting. One day we had just found some old coins below a slide. The kids were watching us and asked what we were doing. We told them we were looking for old things people had lost playing there. One id asked if we'd found anything and my Dad said yes... He showed them an old quarter we'd found... and without missing a beat... the little kid said it was his and it had fallen out of his pocket when he went down the slide. We laughed so hard... Later, before we left that park... Dad asked them where most town folks would hangout most. He immediately replied... "Over there by the bar". Dad and I laughed so good as they knew instantly where town people hung out. The kid was only six or seven yrs old. Town kids had their snowmobiles and all I had was my (1971) 175 Yamaha Enduro and I rode it year round regardless of the weather.
@@TwoWheelsBigLife I forgot to add... when I did my driving test on my bike... the bank's parking lot was a solid sheet of ice in January of 1972. I was 17 yrs old. Just a few months before I joined and went active duty in the Army.
I’m binge watching from the UK, and I love seeing the scenery and history, although crossing one State is similar to covering the whole of the UK, mind you we have pubs, brewery’s and Distilleries to pass so it takes longer 👍😜
I have a suggestion or a question.....I used to have a 4 man pop up I pulled behind my bike n I put a crank up n down dolly on the tongue n it made it allot allot easier to move around, when I got in tight places at least I wouldn't have to lift all I had to do was push or pull

Had no idea Little House on the Prairie was based on a real family. I loved that show!
It's so good!
The love of old buildings is one of the things I like about the videos

Lol right 🤣
I was in the book of the month club since 1963....I still love reading good books.

Great advice. We ran across some but avoided it.
I have been across SD in the car and on the bike. Lots of miles and wind. Been to DsMet been to the Ingalls farm. Very interesting. Great video.
Thanks Cathy
One of your best videos. Funny, and interesting. Thanks! Jayman...

Everywhere I go I research and visit every cemetary I can!
Welcome to Minnesota!
I love watching y’all’s episodes. So pleasant and simple to watch. Love the thrill of the ride and the adventures! Keep in riding and stay safe,❤️
Awesome. Glad you like. Cheers
Love Chris' history lessons and background/situational explanations!
Awesome. Thanks.
I’ve been to that cemetery in Desmet! It is so beautiful there. Yes we went to go see the Ingalls graves and home places.
Its a great place to eat lunch
Good looking sandwich wow
Wow!!! Brings back memories. We took a trip way back in the day through SD in a hippie van and came up on Wall Drug. We came from extreme south Alabama with no banjo. Your videos make for a long week waiting for the next on. Thank you so much.
You’re welcome Glen. Thanks for watching.
Love watching your channel. Richard dohave problems with bilt drive and dirt roods

Yes we’ve heard of that state bird. Thankfully when we were there we didn’t have that many.

There is a Great River Road Driving guide app lots of great info.
Great tour of S. Dakota. You made me laugh right at the end singing the spam song. Brings back 50 year old memories of coming home from the Cumberland’s Head pub with my mates to watch Monty 🐍. 👍
That’s awesome Leslie. Thanks glad we made you smile. Cheers.

Thanks for sharing such awesome places.

I was there about three weeks ago, Don't Miss Wall Drug
It’s quite the place for sure.
Great video
