Benjen as Cold Hands? Besides the editor note, there's the fact that he turned "long ago" according to Leaf and the fact that Bran doesn't recognize him. I wanted it to be true too but it holds no water.
Don't get me wrong the editors note pretty much proves it wrong. But the leaf statement I don't think matters. I don't really believe the idea that a long life alters your perception of time. Ultimately what consistutes a long time ago I think is context based rather than based on how old you are. How long have you left that food out? A long time. When was that building built? A long time ago. A long time for one is like a few days, a long time for the other is centuries. No matter the age of the speaker it's the age of the subject that dictates if it's a long time ago or not And I think for a rotting walking corpse, a year or two probably is a long time. I do not think it is benjen though lol
One theory I have that I've not seen others suggest is that Arianne is not going to marry fAegon, she's going to offer Mycella to him. We've see a lot of effort being put into showing Arianne wanting Dorne for herself, with no hint of anything else, so I don't think she's going to want the whole of Westeros, especially with what happened to the last Dornish royal marriage. Arianne has already wanted to make Myrcella queen, so it would be consistent for her to continue that goal. The only way fAegon wins the throne is if Tommen is dead, thus leaving Mycella as the last 'Baratheon' heir. And Dorne still has Myrcella. While fAegon marrying Arianne will win him Dornish support, him marrying Mycella will gain him the whole kingdom. Anyone who followed Tommen would follow his heir, Myrcella, after his death. So uniting the families would unite the kingdom. While still making Dorne a prominent ally as the ones who organised the marriage. Arianne offering Myrcella fits her existing story and character motivations far more than her suddenly wanting to marry fAegon herself.
Oh, a FAegon-Myrcella match does make sense in the same way as keeping Rhaenys/Dany in Westeros to marry Robert's heir would have made sense. Uniting the biggest rival claim with your own (also seen IRL with York and Lancaster marriage being part of the Tudor victory, hence the red-white Tudor rose).
Alleras killing Euron would be kind of fitting as Euron is a sadistic serial s-assaulter, not just "normal" ironborn level. So getting killed by a woman would feel a bit like poetic justice.
Nettles was born around 113, and at that time Daemon was fighting in the Stepstones, so i don't believe this at all. I think a lot of people assume that just because Nettles is dark-skinned she can't have valyrian blood, but we have the Otherys brothers and Ben Plumm as examples of this in the books. Nettles is probably the daughter of a Velaryon bastard and a merchant from the Summer Isles.
Daemon was exiled to the Stepstones in 113. It’s not impossible that he visited Driftmark or Nettles’s mother was in the Stepstones and went up to Driftmark, especially if Daemon knew she was pregnant.
Ben Plumm has as much dragon blood as moon boy for all we know. And I think it's the wrong question to ask whether Nettles can or cannot have Valyrian blood (of course she can), the question we should ask is whether or not she needs to. To which I'd say: not at all, in fact, having a dragon rider who is very explicitly set up as non Valyrian is really important for the story, to challenge the assumed narrative about Targ supremacy and their special genes - it's all BS to "gild them in glory" after all. A secret twist that she was Targaryen anyway would frankly be incredibly backwards. You really believe George wanted to tell us: yeah, the narrative about special genes of those superior pale skinned blond people who used to awful eugenics is actually 100% accurate? I very much doubt that.
@@AWESOMENISH Daemon only returns to Westeros in 115 after the death of Rhea Royce. He goes to Driftmark to marry Laena. To me, everything indicates that the mother of Nettles was already a native of Driftmark.
@@blaubeer8039 Ben Plumm is a descendant of Elaena Targaryen and Ossifer Plumm. The butterfly problem is the show cutting Nettles, so she doesn't ride sheepstealer, so she doesn't end up parking her dragon under winterfell and becoming Old Nan because she's secretly a child of the forest. I think Jon is already the Night's King. He's a brother of the Night's Watch who has become a kind of king, taking Castle Black as his seat and involving himself in politics. He's had a wildling partner and might have another one, which storytellers might twist into him having relations with the Others. Maybe Cersei gets an infection and refuses to have her foot amputated, leading to her becoming deathly feverish.
I'd think there being a Dragon in the wall would be more likely than Winterfell since a horn can supposedly bring it down and there is also a horn that can allegedly tame dragons. I think it's more likely the Stark statues come to life in some way, given the references to "stone men".
I think Euron's battle of blood ritual will turn him into an Other, and he'll raise the dead from the battle under his control, and they will swarm over Oldtown, looking for the horn of winter.
Tyrion Targaryen seems to be based solely on two things: 1. Aerys had the hots for Joanna Lannister. 2. Tyrion liked to read about dragons. The first could just as well apply to Jaime and Cersei and let's face it, Cersei has more "mad king" qualities than anyone. The second is, well dragons are cool. That logic would mean nearly every fan of the series is somehow a Targaryen. But seriously, Tyrion is a smart guy in world that used to have dragons (and now does again). Of course he'd find reading about them fascinating. Also, I think his interest will end up more about building a saddle for Daenerys.

My guy, just because Nettles is dark-skinned doesn’t mean she’s non-Valyrian. She is literally from the place where dragonseeds are found, Driftmark and Dragonstone. There’s no reason to think she isn’t the descendant of a Targaryen, a cadet Targaryen, or a bastard of a Targaryen. People are just being prejudiced, in-world and out, and taking her skin color and features as being why she can’t be Valyrian. The Valyrians were said to be shepherds in legend, it’s very likely Nettles just rediscovered how they claimed a dragon (because she’s very intelligent) in ancient day, but she still has the Blood of the Dragon.

"King's Blood" is such a spurious term. Jaime is descended from the Kings of the Rock, so wouldn't that mean he has king's blood by someone's definition?
