I can't believe that after going through all that trouble of getting that pigeon, you still feel bad that you hadn't done it sooner. Where I live if you called any animal control or a wildlife rescue place (not even sure if there is one) they would have laughed and said its just a pigeon. That's great what you do caring for all animals, I wish there were more people like you
They wouldn't say "it's just a pigeon" if they knew anything about pigeons. They are highly intelligent and can be taken hundreds of miles from their home and released and they will always find their way back. They are the only birds to recognize themselves in a mirror. They communicate with us and let us know precisely what they think and want, they mate for life and are super great parents. They are funny and endearing.
We took them from their original subtropical seacliff habitats and spread them all over the world. Kinda makes us responsible for them. But I too knew nothing about pigeons until a few years ago.
Hi to all our faithful followers, here it is - Wildlife SOS born again!!. Thank you for your patience. Our media manager Maude is still here and it's 01.00 UK time so an hour later than promised but we hope you think it has been worth the wait. Please give us your comments and thoughts - we want to inspire you to save wildlife, we need to know what you would like to see and how we can persuade you of the importance of wildlife. ( Is that English! ? ) Speak to us , tell us a what you think and we will do all we can to give you want you want to see. PLEASE share this and spread the word to everyone you can.
That fox had me bawling my eyes out, he broke my heart and I can't seem to stop crying. 💕 it's because of stories like these that I want to devote my life to the same work you all have. We should be thanking you for your inspiring, fearless, and boundless care for all critters rather than the reverse for subscribing. Wildlife aid, you never cease to amaze. Thank you all for everything you do.
@sitting on toilet humans also spread disesies and humans spread fire humans also steak from other humans they are over population areas and polluting the air we live in they also produce plastic for then to be thrown into the ocean we murder each other we rape and beat eachother. Humans are vermin and before you post a comment about me not being able to write properly in English yes that is true for English is not my mother language so yeah got any points?

+equarg you're* ......i had to do it ,i'm so sorry (cause everybody gets so ferocious) :| and btw yeah he's now free from everything that he had to go through.
Hello from Kentucky , USA! I first found you all on Netflix, and fell in love with your show. I rescue dogs and have 11 right now, plus 2 strays that I feed(and wormed) that will not come near me. I leave the food for them and they come for it after I leave. Those are the saddest cases because they have never been socialized and are so very afraid.Simon and Sarah and Lucy, you are my heroes !!!Here in the Appalachians, we rarely see foxes. They are shy and stay to themselves , hidden in their mountain homes. I love you and the wonderful work you do. I have cried with you and laughed with you on your rescue adventures...You are an inspiration and a blessing.
I live in US too at the Appalachians. Unfortunately, foxes are not so lucky in the US because rabies is prevalent among foxes, racoons and coyotes. If a wild fox is caught, it will be tested for rabies which means the poor anmal is killed and beheaded. In UK rabies has been eliminated thanks to their wildlifd rabies vaccine program. In thd US a few states have this program and have seen a huge drop in rabies cases. I live in North Carolina and the government will kill the animals if caught alive to test for rabies. It is very sad.
Maybe they could've replaced it with a wheel, like a dog's back legs replaced with wheels I've seen with an old lady (actually, I think she took em off her old tartan shopping cart) and dog looks happy until he tries cocking a leg)❤❤
+Tinkili - I know, that was sad, but imagine him suffering that injury for months and months in the wild until death would ultimately come... Horrible. It was quite sweet though how someone was apparently cutting onions in that examination room...
Gosh that was an amazing catch and from a ladder! I really love the idea of the camera placed in our eyes because frankly I feel the sense of wow I caught the pigeon!
The man he called you about the fox said he was very friendly and because of that I feel that he would have been just fine domesticated in some kind of sanctuary. I don't believe he had to die and I'm devastated that y'all put him down. Awesome and amazing catch of that pigeon. And I'm glad it at least got to go back to the wild. The deer sure was fast lol
Totally agree - I think some groups are too black and white with their rules - there’s a grey area too ,though perhaps not the preferred option I thing there should still be an option
Cassidy (Hop along) Pigeon lives to fly another day, well done Simon. Such a mixed bag of rescues, humans have really impacted so badly on the animals who have the right to live safely on our planet. The poor fox must have suffered so much before being captured & sent to his maker, RIP lovely boy. Thank you Simon & everyone for all you do for creatures large & small. Xx
I love the work that you do, your amazing. Im gutted about Mr Fox!! He was so beautiful too, such a shame that he had to be put to sleep:'( Foxes are my absolute favourite but as with any animal wild or domesticated, it's just such a loss when they don't make it:-( ....Thanks again for your hard work, love and dedication to the great British wildlife....
As always thanks for the great work! Seeing the poor fox crawl around like that was truly heartbreaking... I'd like to believe he returned to the school after his accident because he knew the people there were kind and cared for him :( And I'm very impressed by that energetic, fearless deer!
I will never get over Simon facing his biggest fear to save that poor pigeon. Most people wouldn't lift a finger to help, let alone climb a bloody great ladder to reach it (even I would be hesitant. I love pigeons but hate ladders!). Thank you wildlife aid team!!!
More Wildlife SOS, please!! Where I live, I can't watch it on TV, so I watch & re-watch the online episodes. I enjoy the short clips but a longer episode is more satisfying on all fronts. I love the work you do, thank you all so much for caring.
Thank you for saving the pigeon. Most people wouldn't bother to spend so much time and resources on a common pigeon, but you did. Thank you for showing that every life matters.
Not sure how long I've been subscribed to this channel but I've always been a loyal supporter. Congratulations on hitting 100k subscribers! Much love from the Philippines. ❤
It's so good to see a new episode. I've been watching Wildlife SOS for about the last fifteen years, and you still never cease to amaze me with your absolute dedication and compassion for all wildlife (even those animals that some people would consider "vermin" and not worth saving). These episodes are always a rollercoaster of emotions, but I'll watch them for as long as you put them out. Keep up the great work. You guys are heroes!
thank you so very much for this and for all of your rescues! i live in the usa and love what you do! thank you for sharing this very special episode! i will look for more and am so very grateful that there are people like you that save and love the wildlife of the world!
This was simply amazing. Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers, you all deserve so many more. Thank you for all that you do and for all the animals you help. This is probably my favorite UA-cam channel and I hope to see more special videos like this one!
Wow, deer. You mad bro? XD All I'd like to say is thank you. I don't live in that area, but I know that animals endure so much pain and you amazing people just make it easier for them. Even if you have to put it to sleep, we know it is the right thing to do. You deserve so much support, and I would, but I'm 11, haha. You guys are amazing people and you deserve so many more subscribers. You are changing the world. Please continue saving wildlife and keeping animals alive.
Thank you for your precious work. If only greedy corporations, cruel hunters, fur wearers and the cold machine of the meat industry were decent too we would have a much better world. May we all be kind to animals, which brighten our world so much.
Thank you so much for these longer videos. I really appreciate all the details, no matter how unpleasant. That is how things are. I just retired from 20+ years in urban rustbelt US law enforcement and have witnessed much, much horror. I just landed a part time job at a local vet clinic. I pray I'll be able to increase my hours and involvement to help animals.
I had a mongoose back in India, with a spinal injury. Some local neighbor had probably struck it on back. It was the hardest thing to put him down, when the top half of him was so healthy and alive, and the bottom half dragged on the ground and got septic. How we loved him! How we cried.

I love your programs! I'm in the US and so happy that you put them on UA-cam. The animals are beautiful. Please show more playtime with them. I love the foxes and white swans best. The slender, older man is very likeable. He seems so kind. Thanks again for doing an excellent job!
Thank you SO much for what you do, AND for sharing it for everyone to see. I would be out there if I could, it was always my career choice to go into the care of animals. I felt so bad for the fox, but I try to think of it like this: people cared enough to save him from starving or falling prey to something else, or whatever other awful death he might have suffered in the wild. Thank you for all you do!
You guys keep growing here on UA-cam, hope you make a decent buck out of it (haha get it, buck) to support your great efforts to save animals and get paid in the process.
I really want to work with animals when im older. My older sister works for wythal animal sanctuary. I have always loved animals and im not scared of any. I hope i get my dream. You still inspire me to do more for the wildlife and think about my future more

But still love watching the hard work and dedication that Simon and his crew put into saving our wildlife. Thank you!
One legged birds really do fine in the wild. There was a one legged downy woodpecker that I fed for a couple of years in a marsh, along with flocks of chickadees, nuthatches, and occasional bluejays. It's amazing what birds will come to your hand with patience, and sunflower seeds.
Three animals saved from a slow painful demise, thank you for making the hard choices and helping so many! I can only hope Wildlife aid continues to grow stronger and larger!
+Skulls Ain't Dead, the poor deer was stuck for over 4 months!? How is that even possible? How did she survive? Hopefully she wasn't a mum. Wow, and to be so fit too! What a strong girl! Great work as always guys, thank you!
Thank you for all your help and dedication you put into helping even the smallest creature from a pigeon to a swan you guys try your best to save them and that is amazing!
You are all amazing for doing what you do everyday. I know if can be difficult on some days, but it's truly a blessing you all are helping animals in need.
I can't believe that after going through all that trouble of getting that pigeon, you still feel bad that you hadn't done it sooner. The same where I live. It's depressing and scary.
We took them from their original subtropical seacliff habitats and spread them all over the world. Kinda makes us responsible for them. But I too knew nothing about pigeons until a few years ago.
If you're 'not even sure there is a wildlife rescue place', I'm really not sure how you think you are qualified to say what they would do..
That pigeon don't take no shit.
Dude was fine on 2 legs. Lost a leg. Dude was fine on one leg.
What a legend
What great comments +Patrick Holensaber & +SinataSeries!
