Best video So far on this topic. However I think there is a slight correction at 8:10 in that rate gyros have one degree of freedom not two unless we include the direction of spin as well. In exams the direction of spin is not counted as a DOF and so it will be marked wrong. I think you may clarify that part.

Navigating with a gyroscope would be impossible if the Earth is turning.
The gyro is unaffected by gravity so how does it automatically adjust itself perpendicular to earth? Its supposed to be rigid in space.
dont free/space gyros have only 2 degrees of freedom? because that's what is given everywhere.
