Just got one on sale, couldn't resist. Sold my ct5 and regret it, so grabbed this. Your video was the most helpful one so far. Good call on using pre recorded loops. Ill probly just use it to make a mess (: seems appropriate for that task.
I'm am so impressed with this pedal that I might buy another one to take to gigs so I can leave one at the studio. It is a source of much musical Magik!
This is a super helpful vid. I have this and the Gravitas from Chase Bliss, and although I’ve only had a few hours with it, I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of what this amazing box is capable of. I was deciding whether to put this on my behemoth main ambient board with my Earthquaker and Walrus Delay/reverb combos, Reverb , and delay, delay , delay stacks. I wasn’t going to, bc I was unsure of how it would act as far as reliability in any live setting(the 16 external dip switches are incredible on the chase Bliss pedals, but also daunting) but now I’m def gonna spend all weekend with this, and dive in further, with my new Walrus Mako D-1 ( a fucking beast of a delay that I’d highly recommend ) Thank you! Great video!!!!!
I guess at their absolute core not factoring in anything about their in depth sounds I’d categorise Thermae as more melodic and MOOD as textural, hope that helps.
Mood is fun, obviously it does more but there’s a lot of unpredictability, I find the Baklengs way more immediate and easier to use on the fly. You can’t just kick the mood on when you’re not sure what the result will be, 9 times out of 10 it won’t suit. I sold my mood and will always keep the Baklengs.
Like more precise, or more measured in its granularity. I had a MD for a while and struggled to get along with it despite my best efforts. But the Drolo stuff on MOOD plays really well. May be due to the sum of the parts as a whole.
No one ever told me this pedal could transport itself. Now I’m in.
Haha 🤯
Using a well-known bit of audio is SO helpful to understand what *TF* is going on. Big up. Thanks.
No worries, glad you found it helpful 👍🏼

Haha MOOD is a mess master for sure!

Thanks mate, glad you liked it and happy to have been helpful!
Very cool video. Matches the mood perfectly.
Cheers, thanks for watching!
Subbed. You could be the new Knobs at this rate.
Thanks heaps, and thanks for watching!
Sick stop motion!
Thanks man! A labour of love 🖤
@@ponderersounds3172 you interested in getting blooper?
Definitely
@@ponderersounds3172 me too! Im excited for it to come out :) Im sure combining blooper and mood could be sick.
Bunch of people doing that already who got in on the Kickstarter, very cool
Great work! Any chance for blooper?
Thanks! Literally putting the final touches on my first blooper demo now, I’ll probably do 3 or 4 over time 👍🏼
@@ponderersounds3172 Awesome, because mine arrives in these days👋👍
Get to know it well! And read the manual! Haha
Very fricking cool ... i know what santa better put in my hose!
Very good 👏🏼
Flattery will get you everywhere 🖤
Is this a pedal version of Mutable Instruments Clouds, or is this pedal so much more?
It’s pretty different to Clouds, a lot of the same building blocks they interact differently. I’m going to start messing with Eurorack next year 👌🏼
It’s a mood
Ponderer Sounds get strymon a1.1 to plug into input in
This vid helped me decide to buy it - thanks man
Awesome man, glad to help!
Epic!
Thanks!
chase bliss mood vs thermea which one wins
Impossible to choose, they’re so entirely different!
@@ponderersounds3172 what about for Ambient/lofi hip hop/ psychedelic/experimental music on guitar and synth
I guess at their absolute core not factoring in anything about their in depth sounds I’d categorise Thermae as more melodic and MOOD as textural, hope that helps.
Super intro !
Thank you! Haha just being a nerd over here
@@ponderersounds3172 i hope some day a chase-bliss walks through my garden and knocks on my door.
Lol
Gebhard Meilinger like Gandalf?
If you could get one pedal to start with out of these three which one would you get the mood, the blooper, or the microcosm?
That’s an impossible choice!! Haha... but probably Microcosm...
Lol. I have all 3 now. Just picked up the habit. 🙌🙌🙌🙌. It’s actually a little too much to be honest.
Another fantastic demo. How are you getting the synth sound that starts at about 3:05?
Can’t remember man, that was ages ago now. Some sort of soft synth sound imagine
I bought a Baklengs because of your video but now I think I want to trade it for a Mood. Which do you like better and why?
Mood is fun, obviously it does more but there’s a lot of unpredictability, I find the Baklengs way more immediate and easier to use on the fly. You can’t just kick the mood on when you’re not sure what the result will be, 9 times out of 10 it won’t suit. I sold my mood and will always keep the Baklengs.
@@ponderersounds3172 Thank you. Your Baklengs video is so of the most inspiring music I've heard in a long time. You're amazing at what you do.
Is the Drolo side using the stretcholay patch from his Molecular Disruptor?
It’s similar but not exactly the same, it seems a little more defined than the MD patch.
@@ponderersounds3172 Defined, like, more granular?
Like more precise, or more measured in its granularity. I had a MD for a while and struggled to get along with it despite my best efforts. But the Drolo stuff on MOOD plays really well. May be due to the sum of the parts as a whole.
This beautiful sound should be illegal
Haha 😁
I want a pedal that goes from point a to point b . --wish granted
Boom
More like from point a to point q 😅
@@Ghoopty that’s the loupé
What instrument do you use for this? So awesome!! 🐬
Thanks!! Which part in particular?
You seem to be getting perfect loops. Is there a trick to do that?
I think you’re slightly confused, I’m running pre recorded loops into mood and altering them with the feature set.
@@ponderersounds3172 ah! That makes sense. Gonna try to sync the pedal with my daw via midi.
Dope
🙏🏼
Whoops, accidentally hit dislike before hitting like. But - for the record - I like this.
Haha I’ll survive!! Thanks for watching 👍🏼
So, I'm probably the only one who just realized that maybe Mood = Moog? It seems like kind of a small Moog in a pedal.? Thanks!
Not really man, most Moogs are analog synthesizers. The Mood is a sampler and effects unit with crazy routing capabilities
