Ive picked up so much from this. Ive owned the Mood for a few months now and knew I wasn't using it anywhere close to its full potential. This has given me new ways to approach using this awesome pedal
thank you for this video! everyone always prefaces these videos with saying how complex this pedal is and how it’s nearly impossible to understand. you make it sound a lot less terrifying!
If you're crafty and you have a smaller budget, check out the Axoloti Core board. The board can run virtual modular effects that you can build yourself & then play those patches with a (usb or din) midi controller. Basically a DIY-anything-you-want-pedal for 65€ (~$75). They even have a bunch of the mutable instruments goodies, lots of glitchy stuff, granular, etc. The community contribues tons of modules/patches.
for some reason I'm staring at the Amazon Basics logo on the cable way more than I should be. Great video as always, really enjoyed the other video of examples too.
Wow this is the only time I’ve heard your voice after watching a couple of your videos and I really love the sound of it and the way you speak, its just as soothing as your music and production process :))
@@RedMeansRecording I really love it! Thank you for putting so much effort into your videos I've shared it with my friends and they also enjoy the tone and vibe
I love your new decor style!! It's unique and charming and fits your channel perfectly! Mix that with your charming voice and we'll done videos and it's *chief kiss* art ♥️ Also just like bard ;)
Thank you for all of your videos and sharing the knowledge you have, it's made me a lot more aware of my music stuff but I might have developed bad GAS
That is the Teenage Engineering OP-1. I got one against my better judgement a couple months ago. I will only part with it when they come to throw me in jail for failing to pay it off. It is a crazy, all in wonder creative music making tool. Be careful with your gear lust when you start researching it.
Great demo, thanks. Can you advise as to how to clear a preset? Or factory reset even? - also - when you save a new preset and then open it - which channel/s will spring up as active ie: does the looper stay off and the wet side stay on? Does it depend on something else? Thanks!
It's always great to see the same product dissected and explored from different angles and from people's different musical backgrounds. I really enjoyed your take on this.
What is new or a major story here? O.K. these vicious criminals have been officially recognized and labeled? After how long? I do not understand. If anyone can help me figure this out? Please do so Thank you..
I am wondering how this "Item" could be used in the composing of a song? It would be hard to incorporate it into a salable piece of music. Unless it were to be used in that, for lack of any words "Digital or electronic" music. I think David Foster and people of his caliber would be pulling their hair out trying to make sense of what to do with it. If someone out there can enlighten me, I would love to hear any upside that could encourage me to spend 10 minutes with it. Let alone buy and eventually return it. Shawn S.
I love the way this pedal LOOKS as well as sounds.

@@raybun I'd probably manage to burn my house down putting that together. XD
:D
I've watched 3 demos of this pedal and I still don't really understand it. But I like it.
Really enjoyed this video. Super relaxed vibe.
i'm colorblind so i have absolutely no clue when you're recording
Curabz Mahn MOOD man
Haha
Slightly different shade of gray means recording.
Brown means recording
Chase Bliss did the right thing by sending you a MOOD (and I could listen to the Rhodes loop for an amount of time approaching infinity).
That's my fave too. There's an extended version of it in the end of the other mood video I posted.
Rhodes + pitched shifted delay sounds amazing. I got a similar effect with Clouds and a Space Echo: ua-cam.com/video/FRmPMhn6PD0/v-deo.html
Rhodes you say? Check out Hiroshi Yoshimura
Geezus, Jeremy... you're nothing short of a genius.
red means recording videos always get me inspired and make me wanna start making music right away
Oh my goodness, just about every synth youtuber received one of these from CB. They REALLY want to ignite my GAS. Great demo dude.
one of my favorite plugins, i mean pedals, still! thanks for the nice video, awesome quality!

I find comfort in the fact that Amazon Basics are capable of high quality performance at a reasonable price.
3:35 - red means collecting audio into the buffer
Its like a delay, clouds and magneto all rolled into a little box!
Bought mine this morning. Great video and explanation. Always dig your videos.

What a lovely little pedal, thanks for the detailed walkthrough. cheers!
Sick plug-in---I mean pedal!

This pedal looks really cool. Thanks for the video
Just got mine today. Havent plugged in yet... but reason I bought it, reminds me of Mimeophon with Morphagene - characteristics of both.
Reminds me of the module Clouds.
oh big mood
Wow, Jeremy , Knob and OBNE ?! Three best thing in one package!

It gets me in the mood
Omg mood af
As the op 1 is stereo outputting, how do you manage to convert in mono for the mood input?
this is a good pedal im gonna get it now
never mind it is lots of money
@@zounch lol
Sooo OP-Z tape effect on OP-1...? Nice!!!
thank you
Sounds a bit like Crystalliser by Soundtoys...?
Glitchy and delicious
AWOOOOOMOOD!
Nice demo. I would prefer the mix all the way up though, so you could hear just whats happening from the pedal
Very fun.

Great video. Thank you JeRMRy.
Mood sounds so beautiful. Only thing I’m torn about is that it’s mono and so much of my gear is stereo. Hm..
Mood Mk 2 will be stereo.. released in April
@@patrickr6505 Oh that’s great news!
My OP1 doesn't sound like yours at all. Where is all the hiss and the weird noises when you press buttons?
Hello, what cable are you using as audio out from the OP-1 into the Mood?
Does anyone know what app that is glitching out the breakbeat?
loving this pedal so far! methinks some elements seem similar to montreal assembly's count to five
Its a cool pedal, I would highly recommend researching the Tensor and CT5 before buying it though
Some similar audio processing can be done with the Roland V-Synth.
What is the cord your using to plug the op-1 into the mood?
Aside from all the obvious (great and instructive Video, etc.) what is that yellow tool? Thanks again for all of your hard work!
Awesome video, could I kindly ask if you are using a trs cable on the pedal input?
Thank you so much
7:13 please make a song called the clickest clock speed
I've had this pedal for months and I've still very barely scratched the surface.
Did you use a reamp box?
chase bliss mood vs thermea which one wins
May I ask, Jeremy, that at 9:48 if your cloaking failed and in fact showed that your just a big ol hippie alien?
U got me
@@RedMeansRecording What was the cause of it Actually? 😂
I like your new profile picture! Hexels, right?
Sounds like The Orb
Im wondering if this would be overkill with a microcosm? Thoughts?
They're pretty different!
Hey might be a stupid question but how would I be able to record the fx from the pedal into a daw ?
Just plug the audio out (purple 1/4” cable to the left in this video) into a channel on your audio interface, assuming you have one in your setup.
Have you used Blooper yet?
Nope!
@@RedMeansRecording oh man. I’d be really interested in seeing what you’d do with one of those.
Droeloe as the duo Droeloe? Cool!
WiFooo unless he said it wrong, i thought Droeloe was pronounced Droo Loo
@@bedlegs Hm, I really don't know, might be!
WiFooo just checked, he is referring to Drolo FX. But all of bitbird is awesome, I was just at the red rocks 1 show 👌
@@bedlegs Right, thank you! Waah, good for you, looked/sounded awesome. 100% blessed :D
D. Rolo, as in David Rolo.
Plugging in pedal or pedalling plug in? What would Freud say😜
That table sure is a nice piece of furniture!
DOPE!!
Is there an LFO on this pedal?
Yes
Yes!! OP-1 L-O-V-E! ;-)
is it mono in mono out?
Yeah
My name is Chase :D
Is this déjà-vu, or have a seen another video reviewing the MOOD today.
yeah there's about 20

Waaaaaaaaay too complicated for my liking.
Well, you've been beaten by Hainbach by 10 hours, and loopop by 11 hours. Cool anyways :-)
How do you record past the pedal?
