Oh man if you still play DCS and the Viggen I'd love to join. I have a couple of friends that I play with but it seems like almost all servers now don't really have Cold War anti shipping missions to do and so we're left with either dogfighting or doing SEAD which is actually fun in the thing. Seeing a group of bruisers fly in is still the best thing to experience though
You should set your mode to "Nav" when taking off. Both because the computer then uses your take-off direction to align its direction, but also because the HUD will tell you when you should rotate given your current payload with that little bar at the bottom. Also, lowering the HUD glass when landing and taking off will let you see all these cues.
I always get ‘Navigation Error’ when doing this. I input 9099 the correct way each time and switch to Nav as I’m lined up, seconds before accelerating for taking off. I follow the start guide to a T and I still get the error.
last summer my home town airfield had a 50 year anniversary so there was a air show with the draken, viggen and gripen so when the viggen did the fly over it was fucking loud. (btw i live in Sweden) great vid.
Very nicely flown and edited! Honest question: doesn't firing the RB-04 so quickly makes one explode before hitting the ship? I was thinking about it, and on the last hit in the video it certainly looks like the first explosion's splash damage destroys the second missile.
It does, the best way to avoid this is by following the manual of group targets which is hard because you need 2-3 enemy ships in 2.8km in vertical depth. Or just do as I do if it's single, fire one or two with a break between or if you see two ships within 32km (and the second target is within those 32km of the first target. Wait after firing and the first kill will make the second RB-04 ignore the first target and go for the closest target within 8km in front of it. So a straight approach is best.
I love the Viggen, gorgeous plane. I wish that one day we get the JA37 for DCS because that is such a powerful plane (even better if its the JA37D because then there's the easy possibility for the 37DI with instruments in knots and feet). I have the Viggen module but I haven't flown her much, partly because the cockpit is in Swedish, but I noticed your cockpit was in English. I guess someone has made a mod for an English language cockpit. I really need to learn how to fly this beauty, tame the Swedish Thunderbolt and learn her secrets.
In terms of English language, if the devs don't provide an English cockpit there's almost always a mod for it. Same for the mirage's probably. You can try it out many modules for 2 weeks where you can figure this kind of stuff out.
All my PC specs are in the description. As for DCS settings I mostly have it maxed for 2k res (check my YT community page, I have screen shots posted). I've also bin using DCS multi-thread since they added it recently.
I believe they spawn all units in the front lines. The sectors aren’t that big, so it isn’t that hard to find them once your in the sector. Definitely reach out to ECW Devs on there discord page
I love doing anti shipping stuff with a group of buddies, the atmosphere of multiple viggens launching bruisers is unmatched
Definitely!

That unguided fox 2 shot was so funny lol poor mirage. Nice cinematics, looks like a fun aircraft!
It's definitely worth it if your the ECW server I play on!

You must have LS in the destination indicator., if not put the correct 90xx as takeoff Aerodrome.
never a drop in quality man keep it going
You got it👍
Your videos are what introduced me to the joy of the viggen keep it up man love the edits and especially the music!
Nice! It wasn't my first aircraft I got but I wish it was. Hoping the F-4 Phantom will be just as fun.
@@DTMCRAZYGAMING Same i cant wait for jester V2
Another Video!
Your channel has singlehandedly brought me back to playing DCS!
Keep up the great work man
That's great to hear! Enjoy every minute of it!
by the way, what headtracker do you use?
@@victorwargnysoaring806 I use TrackIr 5
4:17 "Greyhound" is the NATO brevity code for an anti-ship cruise missile.
Radio call out for ASMs is actually "bruiser" for a friendly missile and "vampire" if referring to an enemy missile
I’ve been informed about “bruiser”, but I didn’t know about “vampire”. Thank you.

😏
That Mirage kill at 8:58 was absolutely savage 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was crazy f1 kill
TY

That awesome! My local airfield had airshows years ago. We would have 7 or 8 WWII aircraft fly over every year right over my home... sadly no Viggen 😒
Viggens look so extremly cool with the RB04
Yea it does!
Very nicely flown and edited!

Brevity code for anti-ship missile is "Bruiser" if I recall correctly.
Great! I tried looking it up and couldn’t find it anywhere. Thank you 😬👍
@@DTMCRAZYGAMING You should be able to find them all in here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiservice_tactical_brevity_code
Isn't it "Vampire"? Maybe I'm mistaken
@@ijnzuikaku5269 it is
@@ijnzuikaku5269 I believe that's correct for an incoming missile.
Man I fucking love viggen videos
FWIW: I did not know -- or had forgotten -- the _"Fishbed"_ is the _Mig-21._
Can’t say that anymore
Masterpiece
😬👍
Something tells me he likes the Viggen, but it's hard to tell 🤔
😬
very fun to watch brother, i need to join!! could you give me some directions for the server, is private?
Nice editing mate
Thanks mate!
Dude is wildly underrated
Sharing is caring 😬
Nice dogfighting!
Finaly got my stick in order. Guess It might be time to dip the toes in multiplayer.
Nice enjoy it!

Check in the "Special Settings" to see if you can change the cockpit to English. I can't remember if it's available. If not there is a mod for it.

Great video man! I hope I don’t come across you in my Hip lol
No promises but I do play both sides a lot.
the bangs you are hearing at low speed high alph are compressor stalls, your engine isn't getting hte air it needs
Yep it doesn’t like tight turns. Gotta be gentle with her
Think its Bruiser that is "air-launched anti ship" ^^
Thank you. Turn out it is!
The brevity code would be "Bruiser" not "fox 3 pickle" lmao
I usually go with "Seahorse, times 2"
Dam, thanks! I was going to start saying "Fire on the 💩deck!" LOL

i love how your pronouce the word missile
Did you just say Veegen?
Maybe 😋
Great vid. What specs do you have I can barely get 30 fps on enigmas server

Name of the server? Please 🤗
The swedes actually say "ättikslag" when they drop loads*
*This is not factually correct
