CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) explain to Benjamin (Rob Lowe) that they are not in it for the money.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on the Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name, Wayne's World is a wacky, irreverent pop-culture comedy about the adventures of two amiably aimless metal-head friends, Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey). From Wayne's basement, the pair broadcast a talk-show called "Wayne's World" on local public access television. The show comes to the attention of a sleazy network executive (Rob Lowe) who wants to produce a big-budget version of "Wayne's World"--and he also wants Wayne's girlfriend, a rock singer named Cassandra (Tia Carrere). Wayne and Garth have to battle the executive not only to save their show, but also Cassandra. Director Penelope Spheeris, Myers and Carvey hang a lot of silly, but funny, jokes on this thin plot, and the energy of the cast--as well as the wild pop-culture references--make Wayne's World a cut above the average Saturday Night Live spin-off movie.

I love how they weren't even trying, they just went like "Yeah let's put it in a dialogue with awkward pauses and sell" And people love it
And that's what happens when you say "hey if you put the product placement in, yeah sure, you can have your budget" without actually telling them *how* to do it.

The fact we all come back to watch this scene probably makes it the most effective piece of movie product placement ever.
We're going out of our way to rewatch essentially a commercial.
This movie is full of "breaking the 4th wall" so this type of product placement totally fits. I think its hilarious.
Hell Yeah. I think breaking the 4th wall humor is too hated on these days but I believe it's a matter of execution. And because so many people are doing it these days, many just try to through it in with no good punchline but this movie tired it in well with substance and commercialism.

Anyone else gonna mention how Garth's body rotated around the pill bottle?
THANK YOU! LOL
You just watched 6 ads willingly because of Mike Myres sheer comedic timing and charisma
this scene is so well delivered and so funny XD I also love how casual the sponsors are XD
“I will not bow to any sponsor.”
“Universal Studios! Hahahaha! Cha Ching!”
You were saying?
Cat in the hat
Alexander Kim a fellow nostalgic person, welcome
This one scene just funded the entire movie
Nobody sure as hell bought any Reebok after watching this!0
I love how cutely they smile when product placement is shown.
How about OutKast's 2003 music video?
Apparently, Wayne and Garth are doing a commercial for Uber Eats which is scheduled to air during this year’s Super Bowl, so this scene is not only accurate but predictive.
