Trucks are a personal choice. I like all of the Big Three because as a retired tow truck driver there are little things that I appreciate in each one. Also I have had good luck with all three. Great Video Thank You 🙏
Beautiful truck! I've been in the Flint Assembly plant where the HDs are built many times and always loved taking a few moments just to watch them going down the line. I have a 2022 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton with the LM2 3.0 Duramax and just love it, 30+ mpg on the highway no problem. I don't need a heavy duty and this one fits my needs exactly.
beautiful truck!....I remember when all pickups were reg cabs, lol......thats a beast of a workhorse right there....I picked up a 24 SLT 2500 lil ( normally SLE trim but too good of a deal ) over a month ago and its my first diesel....lil bit worried about the emissions but so far been good, pulls like a freight train compared to the gasser I had b4..... congrats and hope it serves you well for years to come
Just make sure the emissions do regen without interrupting every time. This will keep your DPF life expectancy longer... Avoid very short trips as well! All you can really do.
Check and recheck the transmission fluid levels and if its leaking. My company lost 24 out of 40 2023 gmc 10 speed transmissions on our leased fleet. The majority of them were due to fluid being low because of leaks and some had the transmissions serviced and they didn't refill the fluid properly. GM honored the warranty on every single one
Man that thing is perfect, I love the simplicity in the cab, love the gauges too. I feel like it’s more of a sturdy set up vs the higher trims with all the tech. Hope you keep it for a long time
Can't go wrong with the duramax. Good riding, lots of power, good acceleration, and smooth. My only gripe is that they are harder to work on than the cummins in my experience. I would take that over replacing the failing lifters on the 2019 and up cummins trucks though.
Got to say I am very impressed with the new Ram trucks and these new GM's, the one thing I'll hand ram is it just feels more comfortable. But truth is I want the Dually Silverado single cab just like this one. I loved my old ones they were some of my favorite trucks my old C30 5 tons, you could load a building on the back and it drove the same as placing a shopping bag in the back of an F150.
Yes a DirtMax review! I’m needing to upgrade my Class5 dump, and I’ve been thinking of the 4500 Dmax with 4wd dump. It’ll be replacing an F550 and old. Crusty, rusty 6.0 psd. Trucks unstoppable but I need something that can keep up in the hway pulling a skidsteer.
Best looking truck, nice GM still puts column shifts unlike Rams dial shifts, make sure you break this 80k truck in before hammering on it or pulling with it!!
I can think of at least 5 duramaxs that were in our fleet the last 3 years and they all had by far the most problems and were in the shop the most. Our powerstroke never in the shop. These are work trucks for a natural gas company.
Had to run 1/2 way through, floor shift for the 4X4? Or the dash electric, like my Silverado? That has worked fine for me, 3 trucks and never a problem! Nice truck! Good luck!! --gary
Man for 80k you can easily restore a GMT800 dually with so much power and have it guaranteed to last another 25 years…. I’m just not very thrilled with any manufacturer after the switch to DPFs and SCRs
I’m with you on needing a truck to just do work with brother. It posses me off when 99% of duallys anymore are freaking Cadillacs with dual wheels. What happened to the truck that made specifically for the working man?
For hard hard construction work the best choice for me was ford. But as I get older I realize the "best" is not always about the most power and capability. Sometimes the less capable has its "smarts" and wisdom too. Don't overload your stuff and don't abuse it. It's like the benefits of an older 5.7 tbi Chevy truck. Weak, slow, and less capable in rough stuff than ford. Maybe not more reliable either. But when old...the ease of repair and lower parts price says something cause both will be old, worn out, and have to fixed and rebuilt. That's when you see the difference. The Duramax is strong enough and he's been consistent the longest now. Ford is a beast and over powered and most buyers over stress them in the fleet world. I think I'd be willing to try a GM. Toyota if they made a diesel 1 ton.
Hello Sir, I tried the banks cold air intake in my 2022 Chevrolet 3500 Duramax and I am sorry to say the parts in particular the airbox did not fit and would not retain properly in the truck(even after part numbers were confirmed) A GM dealer diesel tech installed it and the air box would not stay put, ended up wasting 500 in labor and I returned the cold air intake, I tried everything and so did the gm dealer and the mechanics. I was very disappointed and would not recommend it what so ever. I cannot speak to their other products. Beautiful truck man! by the way I have great luck with S and B map sensor relocation kit.
It's a good thing to stay away from Ram myself I'm pretty mad at the local Ford dealership they broke my grill changing the horns I've been go around and around for months
My company has a fleet of Cummins. They're all 24 models. They're gutless, transmission tuning is terrible, and they dont handle trailers well. We have 3/4 tons with coil springs in the back though, so the 1 tons would probably be better for towing.
You made a mistake, the new gm’s have the global b software. I’m pretty sure your vehicle can be shutoff remotely, massive data collection. Need 2023 or older
Absolutely love the single cab! These new GM's are so comfortable, smooth and powerful, you are going to be a happy man with that!
@@DylanHickson1 Thank you. I absolutely love driving it
I love the stock GM wheels!
Beautiful rig sir! I have owned a 5.9 and 6.7 cummins. Now I'm in a 2024 L5P, great rig so far.
Make sure you have your intake grid heater bolt checked or removed. Many Cummins 6.7's have bitten the dust because of that.

I really like the standard cab dually and they workhorses
