Local Ford dealer here has a 24 Explorer ST. Wants 58K. I told them if I bought it today, and traded it next week, what would I get. There was a lot of well this and that, but really it's around 46K. Told them 48k high as I would go since it's already a year old and the new refresh is out. They said no of course but I am just not paying a year of depreciation for which I did not own the vehicle.
I walked into GMC and Jeep dealerships not too long ago to buy a large SUV, they quoted me way above MSRP, i walked out and bought a used German, same dealers are now crying that economy is bad 😊😊

That one has double the mileage practically, and was bought at $13,100 at auction. 152K miles on a jeep, that thing has about 50K good miles left on it before you need to start replacing things. 8K at the auction means they will want to sell it for 12K plus, that's insane considering you'll likely only get two more good driving years out of it before you have to drop literally thousands of dollars into repairs.
15 years of 2 percent interest rates led to a flood of cars built and sold. Now with market down and no money cars are not moving. Fifteen year old cars for 5 k. Where are the thousands of flooded and damaged vehicles from the two most recent major hurricanes Helene & Isaac in SE-USA being liquidated to..? Or $40 for a no-sale whose bids came within $500 or the asking price.

Which turned out to be a crappy motor
Yeah, Jeep wranglers are for high school and college girls now. They’re not rugged off road vehicles anymore. Their soccer mom mobiles with the styling of an off road vehicle. Automatic is a way easier sell for him.

Where are the thousands of flooded and damaged vehicles from the two most recent major hurricanes Helene & Isaac in SE-USA being liquidated to..? These must be getting shipped to other locations and seeded into the general sales population, correct? Possibly many are in online marketplaces offered by the owner, not dealership? I'm not in the buying arena currently, but I would like know how to always avoid these potential disasters.
The Helene cars are showing up. Check the IAAI auctions at Asheville NC. Their buy it now prices are insane.
@daniellaws2307 insane low? Why wouldn't these vehicles be "dressed up" & moved en masse to not-so-obvious markets? It's pretty easy to conceal flood damage and title issues in some states.
Customers are still buying Toyota and Lexus vehicles, new and used. They keep on rolling right a long.
new car prices still not near 2019 levels... Money supply is going up again -> inflation will go up. Who will afford to buy a new car now lol.
We'll never get back to 2019 prices... In my opinion
@@carquestionsansweredthis is a hard reality that some people can't seem to accept.
New chevy dealerships are trying dump 2024s you can find some 7-9k under msrp.
That's not dumping--it's a pricing strategy. Been that way for at least the last 25 years
I keep seeing all these you tubers making these car dealership vids talking about how car dealerships are dead, they are not selling cars. Well I just went to a local one in my area and it was packed ! SMH

apple sells 50 million iphones a quarter, worth over a trillion dollar (market cap)
people would be happy to buy a new car every year, but $80,000 is more than average american family makes so it not happening.
take less money, sell great volume.
with the deportions coming, lots , lots of used cars are coming on the market soon.
new car dealers are dead.
figure 7,000,000 used cars to enter the market soon. what will that do for your business? good right. more cars to sell.
Seven chemtrails in the sky at 8:59. We get nothing like that over major Australian cities. There is some serious geoengineering going on in the United States.
I see that all the time here in NJ. it is nuts.
And the world is flat ?
The chem trails are real there was an international treat signed in the 60s that allowed checks to be put in the air at that time everyone thought the earth was cooling so they wanted to warm it up. Guess I've worked
Give us a terrible economy and car dealers will struggle.
I wonder how many times you have gone over Alex's top bid, and bought a car that you ended up NOT turning a profit on after all the repairs and detailing in order to sell lit?
Many times haha
