Rise is easily the best P4 girl. Being an idol, she gets fan letters all the time, and some of them probably have some really kinky stuff in them. She's probably gotten XXX-rated bad photoshop jobs in the mail, as we know how real-life idol fans can sometimes be creepers. Because of that nothing just seems to faze her. She's put up with so much crap while in show-biz she has learned to roll with the punches and take things day by day. Heck she could probably beat the hardest DDR song with ease!
After seeing one cheap, forced, artificial semi-denying-affections-out-of-embarrassment scene after another with almost the entirety of both sides of the female cast, Rise actually having enough self esteem and verifiable romantic interest in Yu to actually express her feelings honestly is really refreshing. ...Too bad Ai still has the most authentic, deep, and touching romance with him.

Yukiko actually mentioned that she would do a great match with Yosuke and, thought she say she isn't wild with the idea at that moment it didn't look like she actually disliked nor like she hadn't consider it before. They both are put together in several scenes, even if it is just fighting including the skitting scene. So it really feels like YosukexChie is hinted to be canon and i like their interactions.

For Rise it's the second meaning because she had to decide between being a regular girl or a famous pop star idol. So she isn't the canon love interest nor is any other love interest in the persona series.

In vanilla she is the only one making advances on the protagonist all the time regardless of whether you do her social link or not, which hints at her being the most ´canon´ love interest of all. That is not to say others aren´t valid, but it is quite clear she was intended to be the most obvious partner for the MC. Same goes for Yukari/Aigis in Persona 3. I don´t know about Golden and Marie, never played that version.
Marie becomes interested in the MC and actually does compete with Rise after you rescue Marie from her Hollow Forest. Unlike Rise, she's more subtle beforehand and afterwards. In the Golden exclusive "Best" epilogue, should you rescue Marie and become lovers with her, she actually declares that she loves the MC on TV (she becomes a weather reporter for Inaba).
Original P4 animation had some really good moments, and manga (Souji Seita) straight up dates her. Honestly, even with Marie included I feel that Rise is still "the one".

Still In the P4 anime no ship is really pushed besides Rise ship with Yu so it seems Atlus wants this to be the cannon ship.
Original P4 animation had some really good moments, and manga (Souji Seita) straight up dates her. Honestly, even with Marie included I feel that Rise is still "the one".
