Benny is awesome!!! He gives jackie chan, tony jaa and jet li a run for their money... Any takers LOL. I think the bad guy talking at 1:16 is the final fight referee from the Karate Kid movie!!!
Yep, the bad guy at the end was Pat Johnson. He choreographed the fight scenes in Karate Kid. Also, he was the guy who got beat up by John Saxon on the golf course in Enter the Dragon.
His father was Mexican and mother was a Blackfoot American Indian. I have his autobiography (only published in Japan), in which he stated the reasons he was offered roles in films (besides his martial arts expertise) is that he can play characters of many different ethnic backgrounds, other than being a generic American.
Benny was such a great martial artist in real life, but he was also an impressive movie martial artist. Does anyone know who he trained with? He adapted his moves really well for the camera, something real life fighters find difficult to do.
It's especially funny because Benny Urquidez is one of the best kickboxers of all time. I don't even think the great actor Bruce Lee could take The Jet in a real fight.
Force Five borrowed so much from Enter The Dragon. Difference was...Force Five actually made sense and several of the guys were actual world champions in kickboxing/Karate. NO flashy kicks or moves for the sake of entertainment (which Bruce Lee used a lot of...of all the guys.."the icon"). Even if they did add a few ideas to make it not totally a ETD copy..e.g. Korean cult leader who was an actual Hapkido master...Bong Soo Han..not sure if he was an 8 degree black belt. "Mr. Han" in ETD didn't even know martial art let alone Shaolin Kung Fu which he was supposed to be an expert in since he was an "ex- Monk"...with hair. :) Force Five should be THE "benchmark" not Enter The Dragon.
saw this at the movies i think it was 79 the fight scenes today are laughable back when i was 12 watching this it was great chuck norris was offered the lead role for this movie but turned it down read it in black belt mag at the time after that they brought in joe louis
Horrible choreography, could have been much better, the problem in this scene is not Benny, who is a superb fighter in reality, but the way how this scene was filmed.
Great Talent in this cast but not that good of a choreography maybe it was the way they were suppose to do these movies back then. Its a good and cheesy action flick but,if this flick would have a master choreographer like some action movies had in Eastern style flicks instead of the american 1 hit at a time Karate style fights, it would be awesome
Not the best choreography in the world, But at least Benny Urquidez has the right amount of Athleticism, Martial Arts Skills, and Acrobatics to pull of this fight scene.
Never understood why Benny the jet wasn't featured in more martial arts films.

my first R rated movie --- I had to look it up :)
I'll never forget the van pulling that guy apart
It's on DVD. It's part of a martial arts comp called Top Fighters. Got mine through Deep Discount.
Billy Ortega beats up the refereee from Karate Kid
It was filmed in spring of 1980 released in 1981.

Pat Johnson is not a good henchmen as he was also beaten up by Roper in Enter the Dragon as well..😈
That's Pat Johnson (sorry, took a year for someone to answer!)

But the big different in fighting chareography. In ETD more better than Force Five :)
Benny Urquidez is Billy Ortega, not much difference in names.

Just about every scene in this film was copied from Enter The Dragon.
It even had the same Gangster from Enter the Dragon in that Scene.

The most horrible film of the world.... XD.
