  • Malcolm Connolly, a bodyguard who worked for Johnny Depp, testified in the actor's defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Connolly was asked about how often he saw Depp use drugs and alcohol -- Connolly said he did not see it very often and cracked a joke that "Jack Sparrow is more drunk than Johnny Depp."

I'm so happy that this stereotypical, abusive golddigger, is being revealed to the world. Promising a large donation to a childrens hospital and stating out of her lying mouth that she made the donation, knowing she was lying is beyond repulsive...

NOT ONLY that but she promised the ACLU money, the very people who published her article. I don't know if you are left or right leaning. The ACLU has for the last 14 years been the strong arm of the democratic party. They are notorious for being Dark Money funded & target specific people going against the narrative. They NO LONGER are the ACLU of the past.

And then she demanded that JD paid her double, 14 Million! She wanted that seven Million as she thought her instalments would be paid by JD in her name to both those charities. Hence wanting another seven Million.

I wonder how if that donation was to account for the support Miss Heard received in the media or maybe in courtroom? Roundabout contributing to the society as a hole, so that she could get that lucrative chunk of Depp's money? You donate to one of the places that someone else takes care off and that someone else pays the media etc (a lesser amount), maintaining the appearance of fair play and impartial media. Just speculation, half asleep...

Ikr, JD would just wanna have some weed or drinks to have a happy hour but he is doing so without hurting anyone else. Isn't it the embodiment of what perfect freedom is in this world --- enjoying one's own freedom without interrupting others' freedom?
In fact, most of the correlations between drug/alcohol abuse and violence stem from drugs/alcohol bringing out the real self. Or simply violent people tend to seek the use of the substance, not that drugs and alcohol can make a monster out of anyone. And seeing JD getting peppy when high is a delight to know that being chill and lively is his real self.

exactly, and too many people that testify to him being calm, non violent, and his ex wife said she had known him for over 25 years and he isn't capable of what Amber is accusing him of. Add the fact that there are no pictures from a medical person, or medical reports, she wouldn't talk to the police when given the opportunity. The only pics are ones that she put out herself, I don't believe for a second that he is guilty. The only reports of violence all seem to be coming from her.

He might of made mistakes but as a whole under scrutiny he has shown to be a very well liked man by those who know him. I am happy this trial is taking place because the world has fallen in love with Johnny Depp once more, and rightly so. Johnny Depp turned up with Hunter Thompson (who was about 2 hours late! LOL) at a book signing event at a bookstore in San Francisco's Haight Ashbury back in 1997-98. Everybody was buzzing, "Why is Johnny Depp here?" Nobody knew he was hanging around with Hunter to portray him and all his mannerisms and speech perfectly in the movie. Most notable moment: End of the night, Johnny asked the shop sales girl to run out on the street and "Go and bring back that girl with the blue hair" who had just left! What an honor to see these 2 legends together. A great memory ;-)

As a female VODV, it was hard to get out of the relationship I was in, then harder yet to talk about it afterwards. For men I think it's even harder. It makes them think they seem weak. In truth, not hitting her back took great strength. Living through DV, and not falling apart, takes great strength. Going to court and telling what happened, especially when you're a very well known male, takes great strength.
People who are victims of these sorts of crimes are often looked down on and ridiculed for "putting up with it", or not getting out sooner. Those who make such comments don't understand that it's not just physical, it's emotional abuse. Often there's a long history behind it.
Having the courage to stand up to her, knowing it would be on national TV, is so good to see. His demeanor says so much. He is quiet and humble, accepting both good and bad comments, knowing he's not perfect, but just wanting the truth. I've seen how a man acts when he's actually guilty. It's not like this.

Yes. Johnny in his mind did what his dad did. To me reading it from the outside his mom was working 2 or 3 jobs as a waitress--she wasn't mooching like Amber with her freeloader friends. Anyway, Johnny grew up in a time, when you tried to hold the family together "for the kids" Johnny's dad waited until the kids were fairly grown.

Clearly, JD can take a punch in interacting because he's had to, not only in his marriage but in his work. AH on the other hand sees herself as a precious flower, and selected a legal team to kowtow to her. JD was on the defence and had to select people who could rehearse his responding well to attacks, which they have done brilliantly. The Chief Magistrate (if so named in the U.K.) did a spectacular job of appointing the trial judge. Seems like Depp surrounds himself with the coolest people and they all show great love and respect for Johnny-and vice-versa. Johnny clearly is loved in his relationships and has love for the people he works with. This says tons about his good character. They are even kind enough to be polite about Amber, as they are so loyal to Johnny and respect his life regardless of what they may feel about her personally. What’s irritating is that defense seems to simply attribute Johnny’s employee’s loyalty to their pay, but the way they speak about him shows that their “loyalty” encompasses the way they care about him personally.

  • @Razzles819
    @Razzles819 2 роки тому +25

I see others commenting this and I have to agree - it's a testament to Johnny that many of his team members have been with him for 25-30 years. No one will stick around at a job that long unless they were being treated kindly and were not put in positions to risk their licenses, as Mr. Connolly said. Loved the "Jack Sparrow is more drunk than Johnny Depp" and the "he's not kicking his heels up" (while on coke) comments, hahah. People that have never used these substances or have never witnessed others using these substances have a false sense of what a person on cocaine behaves like (obviously not in EVERY instance, I'm generalizing). Anyway, it seems that Johnny is feeling the support from not only the public and his fans, but from his team members that are basically family. If they witnessed him physically abusing his wife constantly, I doubt they'd be answering these questions in the way they are now. Like I said earlier, if you're witnessing that behavior, you don't stick around at a job for 30 years. Just my 2 cents :)

Yelling, slamming cabinet doors, drinking and doing drugs does not equal domestic abuse. Throwing glass bottles resulting in loss of a finger, berating, slapping, punching, defecating on a bed, following someone that is trying to get away from the incident and beating on the door DO represent domestic violence. Amber Heard is guilty of the latter. The testimony has shown a pattern of retreat on Johnny Depp's part and a lack of aggression. With all of his faults, domestic violence is not one of them. I’m tired of hearing how drunk Johnny was~ alcohol is legal and NO one has witnessed him hitting anyone whilst he was inebriated! So move on to some real issues.....if they exist!

Right? Being drunk all the time whether is true or not it should make him violent. And there's no one single person who has said he was violent, but Amber...

This man was awesome today! He seemed very genuine. He made me laugh 😃 I liked when the lawyer asked him if he was loyal to Johnny, and he said, "yes, and if I worked for you I would be loyal to you."

It says a lot that Depp's employees were with him for decades, that he treated them well and that they were so loyal to them. What a comparison to Heard's. That says a lot about a person.

I know we can all agree that JD treats his people - and even people who aren't 'his' - really damn well.

I have a mutual acquaintance of Johnny in the Bahamas. She always spoken so highly of him. Before all of this came out she was telling me and a few friends about how nice he was in every interaction with him. And he often treated those that worked for and around him with treats, niceties, and small gifts, never with anything but respect and kindness. J4J!

I love how they tried to object to him reading the text message, so instead they asked him what he did after he received the text.
That was smart, it basically allows him to explain what was in the text message, without telling us what the text message said.

That's the point of objecting. Objecting to something that was already said is pointless. The jury already heard it and now it will influence how they view things even if the judge agrees with your objection.

Amber Heard’s employees: worked for her around 3 years before being “fired” or leaving due to abuse.
Johnny Depp’s employees: good working relationship for 20+ years.
You don’t keep the same staff on for _decades_ if you’re a shitty boss or a shitty person.
How many of you have left a job within 5 years because your boss was a tool? That’s all you need to know about AH.

It makes no sense to me how all witnesses that saw her in the so called abused event day: guards, driver, police, other people, nobody saw anything on her face, yet she got away with it and she destroyed him with her fake statement. It's obvious at this point that it was all a big lie. How is that even possible? It is so shameful for her to use Me Too movement for such an ugly benefit. I am a woman and I was abused physically, emotionally, and psychologically, and I feel so betrayed by this person's actions, I can not call her a woman... I hope she will be punished for her lies and her fake statements!

    • @franb.3100

Agreed. I am beyond incredulous that she used the movement like this. She is as much an enemy to actual abuse survivors as an abuser, which she clearly is.

I went through the same abuse for three years my son and myself spent allmost a yr in refuge surrounded by other abused women /families. We are now both happy and free but this has bought up some trauma for me but I refuse to be a victim still as he has no more control of my life or feelings. I feel so much for Johnny and hope he will get justice for what she has done to him. Hopefully now more men will be able to admit they are being abused & get help without any stigma attached. Hope ur happy & in a good place now too.

It's beyond disgusting, when someone who's privileged enough to live without worrying about every cent, and can experience whatever life has to offer, has to lie and claim they're abused.
It does a great disservice to REAL victims of abuse, as well as smearing the reputation of a man who clearly is NOT an abuser.
She obviously needs help, because she has SERIOUS emotional issues, as well as being a liar and an attention seeking narcissist.
I wonder if she will ever actually admit she needs help or accept that she has actual problems.
I hope Johnny's life and career both improve for the better. She's a real nasty piece of work.
