- Hey you guys! This was another beautiful song by U2 and Bono! Mia and I loved the positive message! What is better than Love? Bono's raspy voice transmitted passion and belief that Love brings people together! And why not? We loved the guitar strumming and the solo. The drums led the song while the bass line was definitely noticeable! All in all, it was another beautiful song by U2! The best thing about this song is how The Edge’s playing just gets better and better.
That's the thing about The Edge. If you don't like his playing, you really don't like it. But if it hooks you in you'll love it forever. I'm in the latter category for sure :)
@@PJBonoVox 👍❤
@@PJBonoVox it's called kick back and edge is the master
Excelente grupo chicas. Me recordó mi juventud así que mil gracias por ello. Cariños desde Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
Gracias Pato! Saludos de California!
U2 has many great hits, especially from the 80s and 90s. With or without you, Where the Streets have no name, One, Sunday Bloody Sunday, etc. Keep ´em coming.
Bono at every concert I saw would thank the audience for giving them a great life.
Crazy this song came out over 35 years ago. Could come out today and fit right in. Great reaction and perfect day for it.👍
Only just found your channel
Love the joy that you show in the music
Your parents must be very proud of you
Well done lovely girls
Thank you Mark for your kind words! : )
One of my favorite songs by U2! A big thank you to your dad once again for selecting this song. I know a few of us from your UA-cam family suggested it. Seems like yesterday when I heard this song played on the radio for the first time. Loved it right away. So glad the two of you enjoyed it. As always, loved your reaction, thoughts and feelings. Great job, ladies! Looking forward to what is next on this magical music journey we are all taking with you. Love and blessings! 💖
As always, thank you Suzy for your lovely comments! And thank you for liking our reactions! U2 is a lovely band with positive messages it seems! And Bono's singing is simply beautiful !
@@danasfaith5738 I look forward to your reaction videos! The two of you have come a long way....much more relaxed and you actually draw us all in as if we are there with the two of you. I just love the two of you! Such sweet and beautiful young ladies. Looking forward to more great bands and reaction videos! 💖
One Of My Favorite U2 Songs
Bono and his guitar player walk in a bar, the bartender looks up and says..U2 again!
That's a good one.😀
What a great voice Bono had until late 80's...and really great reaction!!
U2 Best Band Ever
I remember my reaction when i first heard this back in 1984
U2 live is quite the experience. Live Aid is a definite one to watch. The Electric Co from Dortmund Germany 1984. Desire from Rattle & Hum. UltraViolet from the 360 Tour.
Electric Co, such a good tune
I love how Bono sings the chorus in this song! It sounds like he's on top of a mountain!
I've never seen this video. Thank you for showing it. Im defiantly going to go through a U2 deep dive.
Hey Scott! This was a beautiful song and great video! U2 is great!
very good song from U2 golden era.
one of their best songs, check out other songs from that time like Sunday Bloody Sunday, I will Follow, 11 O'clock Tick Tock, Where the Streets Have No Name. There are so many good songs of them with a pretty deep meaning and with a lot of passion.
Fantastic song . Fantastic reaction. It's timeless.
Congratulations! Please more U2 reactions
Great song and reaction! That's the great Chrissy Hynde from The Pretenders on backup vocals.:)
Hi girls, thank you for this reaction.
You should definitely react to their live video U2 - Bad (Live Aid 1985)
U2 The Unforgettable Fire 1984.. this album houses this track ,,,, ADVISE: hear whole album.... 7 stars the best!!!!
I've watched a hundreds of reaction videos ..this is my all time favorite ....y'all are so genuine ♥️💪💪💪♥️♥️♥️
Chicas... U2 " I Will Follow "
Still haven't found what I'm looking for and Where the streets have no name are my fav U2 songs.
Saw them live at Notre Dame University, Indiana in 2000 (?). I called into a radio station and won 2 tickets and had 1 hour to get there ,claim tickets and watch concert. They were as great sounding live as they are on album. Peace & Love.
There a couple of songs I really love from U2. This is one of them.
I s this going to be a habit for you ladies using U2 songs on holidays. New Years Day on Jan 1st and Pride on MLK day. Both very appropriate choices well done. Might I suggest All I want is you/ Where the streets have no name live at Slane Castle to really get a sense of the power of U2
Hey Paul! Thank you for your suggestions! We will definitely look into them! Thank you again!
@@danasfaith5738 I think you'll like it in the same way you liked Heart doing Stairway
@@danasfaith5738 I would suggest doing Running to Stand Still/Where the streets have no name from Sydney 1993. That was probably the most epic transition between songs I've ever heard. But the All I want is you/Where the streets have no name transition is also very excellent.
"I Will Follow" this hooked me when I heard it on the radio, thank you ladies!
The Best band U2 !!!!!!!
I so love you two (no that wasn't a pun}. To see two young ladies responding in a way that i did decades ago to the same music that moved me fills me with hope that there is still hope for this world. I love watching your reactions because it reinforces my belief that the things that inspired me could inspire anyone.
Thank you guido!
MLK's song on MLK Day. Fitting.
It`s so beautiful to see you booth enjoying this wonderful Song !!
U2-ultra violet
U2-Acrobat
U2-The fly
Awesome three song selection, I always felt U2's "Acrobat" and "Ultraviolet" tracks were criminally underrated!
Great reaction to a great song
Thank you Lars!
Great cheerful review. Thanks much to both of you.
Hi Dana's Faith. I'm glad you are enjoying the classic band U2. I have noticed some of the comments concerning the band. As a Galic person they were very political in there song lyrics. There famous one which was a slap in the face of the Britsh Goverment was called "Sunday Bloody Sunday" .. It lets us never forget when British soldiers shot Irish persons in the street.
That just shows this song is multi generational. Epic song of the 80's by the epic band of the 80's. Their best decade for sure.
Great choice for a song. I love classic U2. They also have a beautiful song called MLK also about Dr. King. Perfect choice to honor a man we need to remember now more than ever. THANK YOU.
Thank you academic person!
I love U2 my favorite album is The Unforgettable Fire. Hearing you listen to this song and watching you appreciate it and have fun made my day. Keep up the great work. Thank you so much.
Yes ! I never forget The Unforgetable Fire .
One you should check out by U2 is the song Sunday Bloody Sunday live at red rocks. This is the song that not just put U2 on the map but MTV plus the concert venue is beautiful to look at and it put that place on the map as well.
You would have loved seeing their stadium shows.
"THE EDGE!!!"
The Rattle and Hum tour was recorded at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.
Tickets were 5$
U2 - With Or Without You (Live Rattle And Hum) you will love it
Happy MLK Day girls!
In the name of Love!🙏🇺🇸
Cool song. Great reaction. Thank you so much! U2 have a ton of live videos that are fun to watch and listen too. One of my favs is Zoo TV Live Broadcast from Sydney Australia. In particular "Mysterious Ways" and "Where the Streets have No Name" (as in heaven). ✌& 💚
Hey girls..today U2 has a new colour video of this song.
Pride (In The Name Of Love) was awarded Song of the Year in 1984.
This song is about the assassination of MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. (born Michael King Jr.; January 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968) was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesman and leader in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968.
In 1976 they were still in school when they formed the Band.
The Beatles released Blackbird which was about the same thing and how minorities will rise out of their very dark oppression.
''Take these broken wings and learn to fly all your life, we are only waiting for the moment to arrive''
"Early morning April 4..shots ring out in Memphis skies...free at last..they took your life..they could not take your pride!" Is a shout out to the great Dr. Martin Luther King! He was killed on april 4th in Memphis. U2...You Rule!!✌❤🎶😁
CHECK OUT " TWO HEARTS BEAT AS ONE"! AND "GLORIA"!
The Fly or Bad!
There is so much more to this song than spreading the message of love.
It's also a song about Dr. King, with references to Jesus Christ ("...one man betrayed with a kiss..."). It delves into themes of the death of a man for the sake of a dream, and for the forgiveness of humanity, and the resurrection of the spirit, along with the continuation of the dream.
It was also a prayer for Ireland. The images of the children, and the wall that said "East Link"(a housing project in Dublin), were meant to evoke the dream of Dr King when he said that he could see a day when his children would be judged by the content of their character, rather than their skin color, and a plea that Ireland could find a man of King's stature, and ability to bring peace to Northern Ireland, and the religious conflict between Catholics and Protestants; and a time where the children could grow up and be judged not on their religion, but on their character, and value as human beings.
EXACTLY!
The East Link is a toll bridge. The "wall" is the bridge deck that's upright to let a ship pass through. The "Catholic .v. Protestant" label on the Troubles is also a bit of a media/propaganda creation, the conflict was/is idealogical and political at heart, it was/is about equal power and equal rights which makes it even more relevant to the message of the song.
Bono's Mullet Days...
Once more in the nane of love 🎶🎶🎶🎶 hugs and keep rocking Mia and Juliet 😃✌🏻 next monday you should try Soda Stereo - Profugos ( vivo gira me veras volver 2007)

Unforgettable Fire Album is fire!
That is my favorite U2 album it is a timeless masterpiece
I Love u2 and now love you2 Girls. Amazing vídeo. Abraços do Brasil!!!!!
1983 heard this playing pool and never looked back nearly 40 years later as U2 fan 🤠👌
I am a U2 fan from all the way back to October. In this song Bono compares MLK's assassination to the betrayal of Jesus Christ. Two men who sought peace betrayed by the nation and people they sought to help.
Props to you for realizing this song was a tribute to the late great Martin Luther King Junior (April 4, a shot rings out in the Memphis sky), but did you catch the reference to "one man betrayed with a kiss?" as well? Nice to see you branching out and trying more music varieties as well! For an upcoming International Monday (or any day, really) may I recommend a couple of Canadian artists? "American Woman" by the Guess Who or "Hey Hey My My" live by Neil Young. Cheers!
Great reaction ladies! I think you would love Sunday Bloody Sunday as well!
guitars...this is sound The U2
Love..no hate. U2's greatest song!
There's TWO of you and you like U2, so check out "TWO hearts beat as one" from U2😉👍
Into the Heart
Ows i love U2 and Bono's voice 😍😍♥️
U2 saw them twice what a great band. also try English Beat, the Specials, The Selector.
The Edge is one of the most unique guitarists ever, he doesn't sound like anyone else.
So true. I haven't listened to them in quite a while and the other day I heard one of their songs and when the guitar rang in...my hair stood up. Wow. LOL Now I'm snooping reaction videos :-D
That's what unique means.
Great reaction video
They really are legendary. I hope you'll play some more from U2.
Great to see you Ladies in the 80's ! For a little higher intensity U2, check out "Gloria". Mom's a good influence !
Listen to their live version of this song on the live album Rattle and hum I think you would love it
Nope watch the live version on youtube where they play at Red Rocks in Colorado
Great song. I know you must read it all the time but you can see that you guys really appreciate good music for what it is. Might I suggest "Man of Constant Sorrow" by Home Free and "Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground" by Blind Willie Johnson.
Thank you Eric for your kind comment ! It is comments like yours that keep is going! We will give our dad your suggestions!
Our life in the 80' was full of dreans and music that led us a little better so far.
"A shot rings out in the Memphis sky, free at last, they took your life, they could not take your PRIDE" This song will always give me the chills!! MLK for life!! ! btw, whoever picked this song for International Monday is a genius!
YEE!
LOL! Our dad says that there were many great suggestions for today! It was really difficult to choose one! LOL!
@@danasfaith5738 LOL!!
Bno’s voice in incredible.. love it 🧡
You should watch Zooropa in Mexico ...you will learn more about this amazing band
this was the U2 that were cool
“Early evening, April four
A shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride” MLK reference....
And the first half of the song is about the betrayal of Jesus.
Kudos on both references
Love your background.
Thank you !
He's talking about the Lord and then Martin Kuther King, Jr.
first verse is about Jonah (one man washed up on a beach), second is about Jesus (Betrayed by a kiss), and obviously the last verse is about MLK
Thanks David and Krypto, love this song but thought all was about only MLK. Love learning new nuggets about great songs. Thanks for the addtl info!
@@krypto_9872 one man betrayed with a kiss...that is a prolific line. The entire song is prolific. I'm saying prolific too much.
Oh..one more thing...
Prolific.✌❤🎶😁
They wrote this one about the murder of Martin Luther King. That's the man they're talking about in the song, and also in some parts about Jesus and others with a similar positive message that ended up being killed for it.
"With or without tou" es una tremenda canción paraa reaccionar tambien!
I mean Everyone will love these girls playing with such an innocense that almost seems to me as if they were singing themselves. In the name of the Past! Mother! in the name of Love! one more in the name of love
Ladies, great song choice to react to and give respect to MLK on this day. Thank you both!
You should check out "Thrill Me Hold Me Kiss Me Kill Me" by U2
Ed (the Fichs) great guitarist and the unique voice of Bono Vox.
Your reactions are beautiful. I love to see the joy and emotions on your faces, and you brilliantly express your feelings during the song which is the true reason we watch reaction videos. You girls are awesome! Keep up the amazing videos! 👏
Perfect!!! You girls started the year amazingly!! You are reacting very appropriately, you started the year with New year's day and now with this song on Martin Luther King's day. There is a beautiful song he ( Bono ) dedicated to his mother who died in 1974. is a very powerful song, it's called ( Iris ) make sure to watch the ( Official Fan Video ) ( It's the one that shows sky diving ) . You will love it and cry because it was written for his dead mom. Please react to it!!!
Sorry my comment wasn't clear enough ( I edited the comment already) but the name of the song is " Iris " ( that was his mother's name ) and when I said he dedicated the song to his dead mother, I was referring to Bono, U2s frontman. ( make sure to watch The Official Fan Video)
