One of the best of the eighties? To me that's far fetched, they were good for sure, but no virtuoso guitarist, and a mediocre singer to me just made them a good band, don't get me wrong, I did like them but I can name ten bands that had way better musicians. They were midrange at best. No means top shelf.

I saw Cinderella open for David Lee Roth in 1986 at the old Cobo Arena in Detroit, had main floor and Tom Kiefer's voice just cuts through you like a knife, GREAT voice and the band kicked ass! Glad you guys are discovering the quality 80's bands👍👍
They got lumped in because that's what they were. Don't get me wrong they had a couple of great albums but so did every band from that decade. Thirty years later they are just an eighties hair band better then some, not as successful as others. I lived it and thought they were a cut above, but in hindsight they were just part of an amazing decade.
@@kurtsaxton823 They dressed the part, it I think that was either the label or their management’s doing. And it got them noticed for sure. I loved it too, and these guys were awesome. It was a great decade of music, heck the 70s and 80s both rocked. I feel so fortunate to have lived through them at an age where I could appreciate the great music.
They were definitely a hair band......the mushroom hair doos, all the glitter and of course, the band name prove that, but yes, the music is a cut above what I would consider "hair metal". I saw them in 2009 or around that time and it was a great show.
Two favorites in a row! I'm excited! Cinderella was one of my favorite bands back then so good live too! Lots of blues influence in their songs. Tom Keifer is still singing with his solo band. Sadly guitarist Jeff LeBar recently passes away, so there won't ever be a reunion of the band. There's a great live version of Tom singing this song with Lzzy Hale from Halestorm, who is also a big Cinderella fan.

Here we go, the 80's! This song brings back so many memories for me. I will admit, I never really got into all the hair bands back in the day. Most of them sounded very similar. Cinderella had a great sound to them. I enjoyed listening to their music. I saw them in concert one time only and they were awesome. Glad to see the two of you starting to review artists and groups from the 80's. It was a decade where I could not live without my stereo. There was a lot of great music back then. What a beautiful ballad of the 80's. I really enjoy music from this era the most. It's slow and melodic, but that's why I like it so much. There's a time and a place for heavy distortion and screaming vocals. Something like this will not be able to beat that. I love the passion of his voice and you can hear in the bands instrumentals that they are very emotional with their playing. WE'RE NOBODY'S FOOL!
Tom Keifer has one of the greatest voices in rock!! Long Cold Winter was their breakout album with a slew of hits “Gypsy Road”, “The Last Mile”, “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)”, “Down Seamstress Blues/Falling Apart At The Seams”, “Coming Home”, and “Long Cold Winter”. Also check out “Night Songs”, “Shake Me”, and “Heartbreak Station”. Love what you ladies do and keep rockin!! 🤟🤟🤟
The 80's was really the time of the long hairs , for the boys ! Hervé , 30 years old , has recorded his first electro dance LP. He is really a TALENTED musician + producer. With his short hair , Hervé seems to be the Wentworth Miller's twin ! To have more air , take a look to his video : Hervé Maelström ( clip spécial déconfinement )

Oooh now that you're stepping into 80's ballad era you should totally do Steelheart , they had some kickass songs, ballads and vocals! "She's Gone", "Can't Stop me loving you" and "I'll Never let you Go" shows you the insane range of Miljenko who was incredible back in the day.
You ladies are really rocking the eighties this particular session. Excellent. So at this time in music video history, it was very much in fashion to have a little story that would kind of precede the video itself, and those goofy-looking sisters in the pink get-ups are characters that are held over from their previous video Shake Me. I love Cinderella, they were much more blues-based in their music then a lot of the other hair metal of the day dot-dot-dot probably more influenced by say Aerosmith and Zeppelin. Tom keifer's voice is incredible very raspy in nacdc kind of way that they love it. Haven't heard this song in a long time and it still holds up. Cheers ladies. PS I'm always super stoked when young people get a chance to tune into older music, there is so much to offer.
If you found the story line a little strange with the 3 girls in the beginning, it's because there were 3 videos done for this album which all go together in order. This one was the second one to watch. The first one was their song called "Shake Me". then the 2nd one was this one "Nobody's Fool" and then their 3rd one is called "Save Me". In the first video "Shake Me" you'll see that same girl who was getting out of the limousine in this video, getting in the limousine in that video.
The Last mile..shows concert footage from life on the road..I was lucky enough to see them on the Long Cold Winter tour in 1989..I barely entered high school and the show openers were the Bullet Boys and Winger..
You girls should have grown up in the 80's.... Shake Me!!! Fastway is an awesome band and Tora Tora walking shoes will have you rockin' I know this because I grew up in the 80's.
Sadly, Cinderella lead guitarist Jeff LaBar passed away in 2021 (R.I.P.😪) Cinderella had such a brief, but powerful impact on 80's rock... formed in Philly around 1982 by vocalist/guitarist Tom Keifer & bassist Eric Brittingham, the band added lead guitarist Jeff LaBar... and were signed thru Bon Jovi in 1986. Jody Cortez played drums for their debut album 'Night songs'... but drummer Fred Coury was announced as a band member. MTV promoted the band and "Nobody's fool" was a huge hit for Cinderella, as 'Night songs' sold 3 million copies in the US... However, Tom Keifer was frustrated that Cinderella was judged on their glam image and not their music. Cinderella used drummer Cozy Powell on the 2nd album 'Long cold winter' in 1988 (Fred Coury was still their official drummer) and that album had a white cover to focus less on the band's image, and more on their music... the album sold another 3 million copies and delivered MTV hit singles like "Gypsy road"... "The last mile" ... "Coming home" & "Don't know what you got (til it's gone)" In 1990, Cinderella's 3rd album 'Heartbreak station' was recorded without the 80's rock production, and incorporated more blues and country influences... It sold 1 million copies. But while touring in 1991, singer Tom Keifer was struggling w/ vocal issues and Cinderella stopped touring after Keifer needed surgery on his vocal chords and the band took a break... Drummer Fred Coury left the band in 1993. Despite the 90's being hostile to 80's bands, Cinderella returned to the studio in 1994 and completed their 4th album 'Still climbing'... the album sold poorly without any promotion and their tour was poorly attended... Cinderella split up by 1996. Cinderella's label wanted a best of record 'Once upon a' in 1997, and that release did OK... Cinderella reunited in 1998 to tour again w/ Fred Coury returning on drums w/ Keifer, Brittingham and LaBar... they released the live album 'Live at the Key Club' in 1999. Cinderella was offered a record contract, but failed to deliver a new album after 2000. Tom Keifer still required more surgeries over years for his vocal chords, as Cinderella toured w/ no new music. In 2013, Tom Keifer released his 1st solo album 'The way life goes' and toured solo... He claimed that Cinderella was over. His second solo album was 'Rise' in 2019. Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar was found dead in 2021 after years of alcohol abuse.
Cinderella got roped into the hair metal thing because of the timing but they are much more than just hairspray and spandex! Very Underrated Band!! RIP Jeff! 🤘
