I am a born again Christian. I'm not a Mormon, but watching this video makes me reflect on the goodness of God. I have a very similar story. Thank you for posting this beautiful story.
I am not one for crying. But as a 23 year old soon to be married to the woman I love, all I do is worry about how I will provide, what kind of husband and father I will be, and how I will overcome the pitfalls and profanity of our times. Speaking on behalf of young men my age, WE NEED MORE GREAT EXAMPLES. This video motivates me so much. Thank you!!

We sure do. A lot of the problems of this world started because of very bad parenting for the most innocent ones.
Forget flowers, chocolates, and grand gestures, this father is the most romantic person you could ever wish for.

This reminds me of my Grandpa Lewis. He was a garbage man for the rest of his working life after WWII. He raised a family of 4 and he and my grandma were married until the day he died.
He was diagnosed with MS, but kept working as long as he could to take care of his family. I miss him so badly. He was this kind of man.
being a father is such a challenge. this man sets a great example. but to all you dads out there feel free to give yourselves a pat on the back for the good things that you do and don't be too hard on yourself. if you are able to put food on the table for your family - that is a big accomplishment!

I grew up without a dad. But I know that I have a Heavenly Father and he has given me a very brave mom! The rolls of a family are real!

This man is actually my uncle! He truly is an amazing father and a Christlike example of love and charity. He has taken wonderful care of his family and had been blessed for it immensely! Love ya Uncle Bill!
My dad died of a drug overdose when I was 15. I know he loved me and I am trying to be a good father. I am looking forward to seeing my dad again and telling him I love him. He did the best he could. In the celestial kingdom my dad will be a great grandfather to my son.
I am Mormon and an addict even though Doctors prescribe them for good reason.I mixed to many of them and after doing some gardening in the hot sun I woke up on the floor howling in pain and with a face that looks like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson and only a Father could have saved me from death and that was my Heavenly Father -We are not bad people ,addiction is not a moral problem but it is a medical problem therefore .I can picture your grand meeting with your father in the celestial kingdom . I feel prompted to tell you he is so proud of you but to stay safe for the time of your meeting is not now -I have never felt a prompted promise in my life,but I had to write and add "Peace ,all is well! Call for me when you need me" You are never alone"

Please do remember that it isn't JUST LDS girls who are picky. Smart women are; that's what makes a girl a woman. Having insight and knowing that they want to marry more then just that hot guy at school, knowing that they want to be parents, not just mess around and be "in loveeee."

What an incredible gift--- to have a dad who exemplifies our Father's love for His children. Thank you for sharing.
My dad came to America with nothing for himself. He worked extremely hard to provide his family and seldom spent on anything. He then met my mom and they got married in the church.My parents had four of us were a family of 6 in a two bedroom house, but no matter how hard he worked he always had time to give us everything he could. Now we live in a 4 bedroom two story house and have been blessed countless times. I love my Dad's dedication to work his way up and I'm so proud to call him my dad :)

When Bill asked for a son, he got one of the best people that heaven could ever send. Those people are the best people in all creation.
I became a father for the 1st time today to two beautiful twin girls who were born premature. Mom and the girls are doing OK. I look forward to raising them.
There are no guarantees in this mortal life, but this Father and this family did their best daily. This family has shown us that love, work and sharing lives journey together is truly a joy, a fulfillment we can all achieve. The Father has set an example for his posterity and for all around him.
My husband is a door-to-door salesman, and every night he brings home a few pennies and coins he has found along his daily path, and I love him for it!

I so appreciate the video. I only grew up with my mother; her second husband abused her,so she got a divorce; she raised me and my eleven brothers and sisters on her own. When she passed away, I was 14, and I moved in with my older brother who was married and had two daughters. For the last four years, he has been the father I never had; caring, loving, and accepting. Though he is my brother, this video makes me think of him. I think God knew I would need a father figure, and sent me my brother.

I grew up without a father but through the teachings and instructions of the church and other examples of fatherhood such as my mission president or bishops I came closer to my Heavenly Father and found a role model as the fathers we ought to be . I hope I can always provide and be worthy of my five kids and my beautiful wife . Let's be good fathers and good husbands and again thank you Heavenly Father for my membership in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
My dad was a rain man type, the church figures were HUGE influences. Lota of father role modeling happening being surrounded hy amazing families.
I have 2 Fathers. A Heavenly Father and an earthly Father. My earthly Father taught me how to be a father and to love my Heavenly Father. He was my hero and my guide to a testimony that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me. My Father has departed this world, but I believe he will always be my Father and one day I will reunite with him and my wonderful Mother.
God is amazing, and so is this man who believes in Him.
This man worths much more than just providers (it doesn't matter how much money they can afford).
This guy is my new persoanal hero. I would love to shake this man's hand and be in the presence of greatness. When I think of what it means to be a man and a father I will think of him. This father was never a garbage man he is a treasure man! Just look at the treasures he gave to his family. I will ask for blessings to shower down on this man in my prayers today.
God bless this man. A great example of living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bless you Sir!

When I see a Father or a husband like this? I think of how rich he is. His soul has been fed with all the best things in life. Like family, God, and Love, he is what I consider “Strong”, he’s a Father. To your Wife and children you will always be cherished. That’s the biggest reward in life. ♥️🙏😇. You have such a beautiful wife and children. 🙏😌
This blessing has come to a temporary end in this earthlife. Willie passed away last week, his funeral was today. he had a full life, exceeding expectations. The funeral service did him justice.
I'm so glad. He looked like such a great person.
This is the role I want to fill. I mean I probably can't, because I'm a girl, but I want so much to be like my dad, and like this man.
Family first, provider, strength- the embodiment of Father. Bill has more than the richest man on Wallstreet. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36) Bad economies come and go not terribly affecting men like Bill because of where their heart and soul are found. We not only learn of a great man, we look inward and reflect on our lives, relationships and where they should be.
This guy is my Grandpa believe it or not. He is SOO amazing.
very touching. My son is much like his, he cannot speak a word, or use the bathroom or be unsupervised for any length of time. He has autism and MR, He is 9 now, and It's been extremely hard on our family. I wished I could give my son so much more, I want him to have a good life. I think now, after watching this video, I'm just going to love him, the way this father loves his son.
May all men in this world step up to the great responsibility and blessing of being a dad as this man has! To my own dad- I love you. To my husband who is a wonderful dad to all of our children... I love you so much! And to my sons who are dads... the world is a better place because you are in it.

Thank you for introducing your dad to us. He sounds amazing. I love garbage men and all people who serve us by taking the worst jobs. I try to thank them at all times for the jobs that they do So tell your dad thanks for doing that job. I’m glad he was able to take you all on holidays every year.
As a young man I sometimes struggled with the concept that humans could become like God. This brother has demonstrated that people can become like Him.

This reminded me of my dad! He has a lot of the same characteristics. I feel blessed.
A great example for men everywhere. We are all dealt a different hand in life, but this is a great way to respond to life's challenges.
Bill is an angel. I believe he is a man created in God's own image. The man God intended him to be. Glorifying Him through his example.
Father's can influence children in a very special way. I just found out this week that my third one is on the way. Hope I can be a good day like Bill and like my Heavenly Father.

In a good (celestial) marriage, husband and wife rely on eachother. People were not meant to live alone and be completely independant and self-suficent. We are here to interact and love one another. Together can be more perfected. I am sure that there are many ways the father in this family depends on the wife, even with limited abitlities. TOGETHER they are better.
I hope to prepare myself to be the kind of father that Bill is. I also want my children to look up to me and to know I love them, and be worthy to be called amazing and a good father.

Being a husband and a dad means everything to me. I don't understand why my wife left me a month ago telling me that I pay too much attention to my son. I never imagined that I could feel this much pain. All I wanted in life was a family who loved me.💔
Of all the titles God could choose for himself, He has chosen for us to know him as our Father. Examples like Bill give us a glimpse of his reasoning for this.

I know how it is to feel cut off from the rest of the world, like everyone else is sitting on high horses, so pretty and perfect but I assure you that you will always find love and hope in the church and in God as I did. You think that this family is perfect with her illness and the son's condition? They had to go through a lot to get to were they are today. You may feel imperfect, you may feel forsaken by the world, but I promise you with all my heart and soul that God will never forget you.
I like this video because it shows how Father's really should be. My Father is sweet and unselfish as well. Every one deserves a Father like Bill and my Dad
