    Thanks for the vid. I purchased a 535 2 weeks ago for the wife and were planning on fitting a new exhaust system. Looking forward to more of.yoir vids. Thank you

    I just like to let you know my front bolts were just as crooked, if not more. How they get like that.... Thank you for making this vid, was a nice guideline

    Cool. I have the XV400 with at least two holes in the 'square' box. My next project.

      Thank you...I don't think this one has a hole in it, but the overall condition was bad, and It's getting a new stainless system anyway so had to go...

    Thanks for the vid! :) Wanted to spray paint the lower part, which tends the get rusty, as well as yours is... 😬 Another question: What front tyre do you use? is the 90/90-19 the regular fit. Book says 3.00-19. I can't find a nice and soft street tyre 🤔

      Not sure about the size to be honest the bike came with near new tyres. I use Avon Cobra on my 1100 and they are great.

    The inner manifold of my 535 is fixed with two rusty Allen bolts.. penetrating oil to no avail.
    In the video, you mentioned the application of heat. Can you please assist me as I do not want to damage the chrome.
    Thanks.

      @MidlandCruiser  2 роки тому +1

      So it seems someone already took the studs out and replaced it with normal bolts (why not use stainless, once he got them out?? ) if you use a normal heatgun with a few hundred degrees, it souldn't hurt the chrome because it gets hotter than that just by using the bike, you can as well heat up the cylinder head around the bolts, so it expands and that might be enough to crack them. Don't go crazy on the cylinder head, if you can't touch it, that's enough.

      @@MidlandCruiser , thanks for your reply.
      I will be fitting a Silvertail K02. The kit has Allen screws as well, like the ones I have on my stock set. It is the original exhaust assy.

      @@MidlandCruiser I tried the heat gun, but to no avail.
      Any other idea? Thanks.

      That is a tough one then....sorry for the late reply, but your comment went straight to spam. This is the two things I use as well, heat and penetrating oil. Not much else to do really, some people use proper gas torch on the bolt itslef, but usually on car suspension bolts and nuts...never had to go beyond the heatgun and oil..all I can suggest is google and you may find a good solution, someone used before. Good luck
