I feel your pain man. When they cancelled Phantom Dust 2 and then there was so little news about the remake and Scalebound was cancelled, it was so scary for the HD Re-release. I almost wouldn't believe it cause it was so soul crushing. At this point I'm happy with the re-release. I feel like it gives Phantom Dust a fair shot at being recognized and growing into a franchise.. I'm buying 3 copies of it and all the DLC multiple times if possible to get more skills and support it. Thanks for the video!
Awesome video+summary of events! Never got to play this game as it never came out to the UK (I'm sure you're aware) but with this re-release coming soon I'm excited to discover more about this long lost, hidden gem. My favourite exclusive game on the OG xbox was Shenmue 2 and on the 360 Lost Odyssey. Really liking the vibe/concept of PD and it's my most anticipated xbox one exclusive since owning it (around 2 years ago). The reboot cancellation is gutting news indeed but I'm glad things have turned out for the better in the end... :-)
Thank you for the comment! It really is a unique, special kind of game you just don't see often. The remaster will be on Windows as well and that is where I will be playing, and the Xbox/PC versions will be compatible so everyone can play together. I'm hoping with the Xbox's built in Twitch streaming and what not that the game will take off! I've been considering a more in depth Phantom Dust gameplay video, going over how it works and all that. Hopefully before the remasters' release. I'm a fanboy and I'm just sharing the love lol.
Thank you for watching! I've been a huge fan of this game, and never found a way to explain HOW us PD fans were feeling. Been meaning to start UA-cam, so it was finally time to do this. I do apologize for the microphone pops you hear in the later half, I had to switch microphones and it didn't work too well. Fixed the problem so it won't happen next time!
What I feel like they're doing is that the reboot is probably being reworked into a proper sequel. It would seem dumb to re-release the original, and then release a reboot not long afterwords. I could be completely wrong, but that's my thoughts on it.
RednekGamurz I get the feeling that the continuation of the series rides on the success of this remaster. out of my videos, this has gotten the most response. Ive been considering an indepth gameplay overview and what not to get out in time for the remaster. i may get started on it. thanks for the comment!
